Côte Winchester

This was a delightful visit. The Manageress made us feel so welcome. We were visiting Winchester in the rain and it was dreadfully cold so we decided to eat dinner early, I.e. at 3pm. The beauty is that you can eat at any time. We enjoyed the new Premium set menu, the onion soup was hit and warming the pork belly main dish simply scrumptious. Lovely service. Thank you

Excellent meal three Breton Chicken and one Steak and Frites. Staff very attentive, very good service. So easy to book on line too, will definitely go back.

The staff were very helpful and polite. The ambiance was good and most importantly, the food, was served to look appealing, and tasted really good. The smoked salmon starter was particularly tasty.

Simple, quality, French brasserie cooking at a very reasonable price. Staff polite and attentive even on a busy Friday evening. Puddings outstanding! Even the champagne was reasonably priced! Great evening, thank you.

We eat at Cote Winchester on a regular basis for the following reasons: Consistinly great food and attentive service. Lovely environment to relax and enjoy our dinning experience.

The meal was perfect - we both had the chicken with creamy potatoes and beans, and they had a lovely surprise waiting as it was our anniversary.

Service at all times was good and prompt. The food was of a good standard although not excellent. Atmosphere was nice and the experience as a whole was pretty enjoyable

Wonderful food and great service. We loved it! Delicious steak and a great range of choices. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, we’ve been to a couple in London and always exceptional.

Had a nice lunch with Mum, food choice from the set menu was good, although not quite as appealing as March's Good service, not intrusive, just enough. Initially offered a table just by the front door but we said we'd prefer one further inside which wasn't a problem.

A pleasant and friendly environment with good food and service. Easy parking near by parking in top deck. I would return for another evening out.

The main is tasty but will leave you feeling hungry so make sure you have a starter and dessert, it is very expensive , overpriced so save the evening for special occasion,

Very good service, food lovely, so nice to have a change of menu every month when we go so often with friends! Only wish we could have a chocolate with our coffee!!!!!!

A great breakfast for a birthday. My son really enjoyed it. The set lunch menu is also good value. Will go again soon. Nice friendly atmosphere.

Good second visit. Friendly but respectful staff - good lunch menu: varied and flavoursome. rrstaaurant very busy but staff attentive and food served quickly. Good smart clean loos too. Definitely worth a third, a fourth visit.......and more!

Very good indeed, nigh on perfect. The atmosphere on arrival was busy but the greeting Luke warm. Table service was very good, as was the quality and choice of food and wine.

Big fans of Cote. Unusually, the starters were disappointing. The moules au cidre were so heavily over-seasoned that the moules and cider were overpowered. My crab and avocado in mayonnaise had such a strong taste of aniseed that the crab was totally overpowered. Main courses were fine and the creme caramels for dessert were, on their own worth the visit.

Excellent service, friendly staff, plenty of choice on the menu and delicious well priced food in very pleasant surroundings. Easy to book a table too.

Absolutely delightful, the food was it's usual excellant standard and a variation of the menu, so difficult to choose. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

Excellent food and service we go there specifically for the gluten free menu as my daughter has Coeliacs disease the choice of food is fantastic and clearly marked as GF it’s brilliant.

We met up with friends at Cote Winchester, we were met immediately and taken to our table where the food, service and atmosphere was excellent, we will certainly go again.

Great staff - great food. Great location. We arrived early for our appointment and were met with absolute courtesy and were shown immediately to a super table. we had nice neighbors as well!

Friendly staff cosy atmosphere didn't rush us at first did seem to want the table back following a lunchtime event. Will still visit Cote in Winchester and Bournemouth the food was great.

Friendly service and excellent food, beautifully presented. The vegetarian menu had a very good selection of meals. We have been to this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed with the service or food.

Food was Nice. We came for the early dinner but haven't been offered the early dinner menu when we arrived. So we just assumed that it did not apply as it was a bank holiday. But when the waiter came to place our order, I just asked him if the early dinner menu did not apply on that day because it was a bank holiday. He just looked at his watch, said it was just 7.00 pm and it was now too late as this menu was only available until 7.00 pm. I find this simply unacceptable as we should have been given the available early dinner when we arrive at 6.45 as it still applied.

Enjoyed our meal very much but atmosphere was slightly spoiled by noisy party near us ! Perhaps would have been better if we had been downstairs but we had booked online and was not aware of being able to choose our seats.

First class service from our waiter, with good humour. Nothing too much trouble. Very good. . . . . . . . . . .

Lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. Only disappointment was that from 10.30 onwards it was made clear that we needed to leave with lights put on full and the card machine arriving without us having asked for the bill. We left at 11.00 feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Great food and staff were attentive and helpful. We went for breakfast and had a baby and toddler with us and it was a really easy experience for us.

X4 people. X1 chicken very dry - had to order something else. X1 Croutons in salad very stale. X2 chicken and salmon nice. Service average. Not best Cote I've been to. Probably wont go back. Shame as lovely building/restaurant.

As always good friendly service and excellent food. Took 3 of our grandchildren for the first time and they thought the steak frites were ' amazing'

As always good food - tasty fish soup, duck and poulet grillé. Also the staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside was the noise - a couple of noisy groups made conversation difficult.

Right from arrival we were greeted in a polite and helpful way, table was ready for us. Food served promptly and was of good quality. Enjoyed by all of us.

We went for a family meal - the food was tasty, good service, the waiter we had was friendly and looked after us. Even the house wine was very acceptable. Only small down side was that there was a group of ladies who were clearly having a good time, and two of the group had very loud voices/laughs... cant blame them, but maybe Cotes could have put all the party groups in the other part of the restaurant

Very friendly, welcoming staff, nice surroundings, no noisy background music and lovely food. We went as a foursome who wanted to chat as we had not seen each other for a while, and it was a delight not to be hassled to place our orders for food, drinks or coffee. We had the impression we could have stayed all day. Thank you Cote.

We had a lovely meal, with a chilled bottle of Sauvignon. In a busy evening, staff were polite and efficient but could have been more friendly.

Nice food and good service. I was dealt with very well when I told them my main meal was not hot enough and they prepared another one which was fine

Very well received and shown to our table. Service was exceptional, our waitress was Judith (I hope that`s correct) who could not do enough to ensure we we`re happy with the drinks, food and service. Wine and food were excellent, food well presented and all received in good time. We`ll be back.

As a regular customer, I was offered a free meal with the 'early evening' menu. Unfortunately there were a few problems during our visit - our per-starter garlic bread did not arrive until we had our starters, my husband was given a half empty bottle of lemonade , and when the bill came we had been charged full price, despite the waitress confirming with us on our arrival that we had booked using a special offer.......sadly not up to your usual high standard of service

My friend and I enjoyed free Kir Royales courtesy of Cote Rewards, and they even threw in a free coffee for my friend's recent birthday! The food was, as always, delicious, and the service efficient and friendly.

Very nice breakfast - and great service. Popular place and staff very attentive. Croque Madame delicious and my wife had poached eggs. Great place to go for breakfast

We enjoyed a late breakfast at Cote, both the vegetarian and full English were excellent. Service was pleasant and efficient and the atmosphere is always friendly.

I had not been to Cote Winchester on a Saturday evening before, and despite the fact it was really busy, we were looked after very well. There were four of us and we all ordered different combinations of meals which were good.
