Côte Winchester

There were 8 people in our party and we were all very happy with the quality of food. The service was prompt and provided with a smile.

Delicious food and wonderful attentive service. Lovely setting too. Just missed the 5 stars as the dessert I ordered (frozen berries and white chocolate sauce was a bit disappointing.

Good food and service, but noise level - from other diners - horrendous! I know this is not your fault, but it does spoil the dining experience.

Smart premises, helpful staff. Good range of dishes on menu for lunch time, with 2/3 course fixed price option. Happily to business contacts there. Reasonable prices

As always, we had a delightful experience at Cote. The staff know me well and are always very kind and helpful as I am a bit disabled. They always go out of their way to help. Not just to me but to other guests too, I have noticed. The food may not be haute cuisine but is excellent value for money.

Superb service, very friendly and helpful staff. Drinks received in good time, food ordered and served also in good time. Food excellent, well presented perfect portion sizes and delicious. Wine list superb, always a good choice. We will be back

Côte is Côte. Try not to be seated near the bar area, as you hear the staff talking, sometimes moaning. Always pleasant and well run. There is an entrance for disabled, but not clearly signed. The burger at £10.95 with frites is hard to beat, as is the steak frites. 12.5% service charge although optional, shouldn’t be put in th bill. Asking for it to be removed to,leave cash, is a bit awkward.

Easy booking through Quandoo. Excellent service, friendly attentive staff and delicious well presented food. Restaurant busy with several large parties but still great service. Definitely recommend.

Unexpected treats are often the best and Cote Winchester certainly delivered the goods for me this evening. Sensibly priced and beautifully tasting meals served with plenty of care and attention! The creme caramel was the best I'd ever tasted and my father was a chef who's specialty was the dessert course. Full marks for that! We enjoyed the atmosphere, the attention and the food and shall be returning for more when visiting the area.

Good food a bit noisy as on the main road. Fixes week day menu is good value. Staff friendly and efficient. Would recommend but probably not a special occasion place.

The food arived hot and quick the staff could have a little more attentive but over all a good visit it was our first time at this branch

Quality and service are consistently good -one of our favourite places for casual dining . On every visit we get a friendly welcome - and we like the the occasional little extra ,like tonight a refreshing aperitif

It is very difficult to say anything new about Cote. We have for some time been firm fans of Cote, frequenting your bistros in London, Bournemouth and Winchester. We have never ever had a bad meal, nor have we ever experienced poor service.

Service as usual was very good, both friendly and efficient. There weren`t as many diners as I would have expected for a Saturday evening which meant there weren`t long waits between course which suited us. The complimentary spritzer was very different but very enjoyable.

We went to celebrate our daughters birthday, she loved it. The food was amazing and the staff and atmosphere were also excellent. Attentive yet discreet.

Food good service good ( efficient and friendly) for two courses then very slow. This often happens at Cote in Winchester. Air conditioned so very comfortable on a boiling hot day,

This was our first visit to Cote at Winchester and found that the food was up to its usual excellent standard and staff were very helpful.

4 of us dined early evening. We chose from the prestige set menu and decided we would share two starters of calamari. Generous portions meant plenty for everyone. We all had different main courses, all of which were excellent, accompanied by a bottle of Viognier. Afterwards we shared two desserts and were all very satisfied with the food and value for money.

Pleasant and friendly staff along with excellent presentation of dishes. The chefs cooked very tasty food and didn’t over season. It was very easy to book over the internet. My wife and me always enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant.

Very nice food helpful staff nothing was too much trouble for them found the service very good and reasonably priced would visit again I would probably recommend to family and friends

Great service, great food, excellent venue!!! Regular visitor. Always use this resteraunt for spiecial occasions. I have never been disappointed yet. Highly recommend this resteraunt.

Polite, friendly, good food, good personal touch from the manager re Exeter previous booking. Usual class kitchen... a couple of lapses in attention did not spoil the evening overall.

Met up with a bunch of friends for a pre theatre meal. Good choice of food on the set menus. Tasty and well presented. Friendly and efficient service. Good value for money. One of our favourite restaurants in Winchester.

We asked to move to an upstairs bay window as it was so hot which we were allowed to do... thank you Cote! A good meal, promptly served as we were watching a film later.

The service was great, and the food was amaaaazing! Had mussels for starter and a rib eye steak , cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back

This was our first visit to the Winchester branch where the staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu was interesting and the the seafood linguini was delicious.

We had a very enjoyable lunch with friends. The waiter was excellent; he was friendly and helpful with our choices of wine, and gave us the right amount of attention, neither rushing us or leaving us for too long. The food was good, although there was no parmesan cheese for the pasta!

A very good lunch and the service was excellent too. And very good value for money too We will definitely come back when we are next in Winchester l

We enjoyed the meal very much, service was good (although we arrived at the tail end of the lunch time, when most people were leaving) and the waiting staff were polite and friendly. Two of the party were coeliac and there was a good range of GF meals, and pudding choices other than sorbet! We had checked beforehand and you can pick up their GF menu from the main Cote website. The GF meals were clearly labelled as such, when they were served. We thought the prices were fair for the quality of food. We will go again.

Always a pleasure, standards never slip. Despite a new high profile brasserie opening up with all the fancy trimmings. This place remains solid, consistent and our favourite. With wonderful welcoming staff, delicious food, it never fails to be an enjoyable time.

As is always true at Winchester Côte the service staff were very friendly. Alas the course (duck breast) was not available. The weather that day was very hot which dampened our appetite.

Consistently good service, ambience and quality of food, but feel, on this occasion, the size on the 'mains' do not compare well with the quantity provided in the set menus, which are excellent value.

Great food in a lovely enviroment. Menu is more rustic than other bistro's. One of our party is a little fussy and had never tried duck, the menu said is was going to be red but came out perfect. We will be back.

Excellent service and food. Very accommodating in finding a place to store my mobility scooter. Waitresses were very attentive and everything arrived without too much delay. Food was quality and very tasty.

My usual duck breast and frozen berries pudding were simply perfect. In fact it seemed an even better meal last evening than usual. Why change a choice when you know what you like!

We are always greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble and the service is good. Food very tasty and varied. Excellent as usual! 😊

Early evening meal , pre theatre, first class service , great selection on menu coupled with super wine list My wife managed Creme Brûlée after the meal - perfect

Service was very pleasant and unobtrusive but it was a quiet night. Three of us had steaks and none were really cooked as requested: because we were with visitors we did not complain, otherwise we would have done. (The well done steak was cremated, medium well was very well done, and the medium would have been described as well done in most restauarants - disappointing.) We will go to Cte again, but will avoid the steaks.

The staff were very helpful in securing a lovely table at the rear of the restaurant on our visit. Prompt and professional service and great food.

All the food was good and value for money. We were served at a good pace and not rushed between courses and when we had finished.

I have eaten at Cote Winchester on many occasions and am always impressed by the friendly and polite service. The decor is pleasant and on this occasion we sat at the back of the restaurant where there is plenty of space between the tables. The food was lovely.
