Côte Winchester

We have been going to Cote for many years both for general meet ups with friends and family celebrations. We have always been delighted with the atmosphere,service from the staff, the quality of the food and restaurant cleanliness.

Lovely restaurant,very attentive staff. A good choice of dishes and very reasonably priced. A good place for my friend and l to meet for our Christmas get together.

We always enjoy our evening here , the menu is changed regularly and always served hot. Relaxed atmosphere and very kind staff . Highly recommend this restaurant.

Not up to Cote Winchesters normal very high standard. Calamari starter not fresh, overcooked and dry. Also, Too much chatter among the serving staff, less attention to the customers.

Excellent service and food as always. Good selection of choices, set menu very reasonable prices. Have been few times now, will definitely look forward to returning.

Great venue with great food, reasonably priced. Service really good too, always a winner. A lot of choice in Winchester but this restaurant always stands out for me.

Early evening meal in a quiet restaurant. Lovely food and unobtrusive service from friendly waiters. Ordinary set menu was good value with excellent choices this time.

Really lovely brunch experience on a very busy day with the Christmas markets on. Staff doing their best to wait on many tables who had booked with many walk ins. Staff were trying their best with inpatient people who wanted to get in.

Excellent food off lunch menu. Tables bit crowded in. Ran out of sorbets. Good service and ambience as normal. easy to book online. Will return.

Great. Good food, great service. It's only been scored down as they forgot our side of Gratin potatoes (again - it happened to us the time before as well). They didn't charge us as gesture of goodwill, which we didn't have to ask for they must have realised their error, however the pork was getting a bit cold by time they'd brought us some.

Food and service was great. Value for money was fair. Starter portion sizes were big, portion of the fish pie and fish stew mains could have been bigger. We will definately be back.

Great service, good food. Wine list pleasing and compliments food well. Good specials too. Always love the French Onion soup, and my wife loved the pate special starter.

Scrumptious food, very authentic French style. Excellent service, very hospitable staff and a pleasurable evening plus a few G&T's. Topped with tasty chessboard and Muscat.

Had a lovely meal. Staff were so friendly and the food was excellent. It was busy but didn’t have to wait for food. We think it’s now our favourite Winchester restaurant!

Ate from set menu. Excellent food at excellent prices. Will recommend. Pleasant environment although air conditioning can be draughty on a cold evening. Service good.

A wide variety of menu choices, well cooked food, friendly and efficient service together with a Good atmosphere all made our visit for lunch a delightful experience.

Absolutely great in every aspect ( apart from running out of the hot spiced cider!j. Nice service and decor and the food was truelt excellent.

The Staff at Cote Winchester are fabulous. Attentive and obliging. Our fav starter is the crab mayo on toasted sourdough. The risotto was average, but we had a thoroughly lovely time due to such good front of house staff. Thank you

Excellent meal once again. Have never had a bad meal here, or at any other Côte restaurant. The staff are lovely, not overly attentive which is nice , but there when you want something. Would not hesitate to recommend

Excellent restaurant with great ambience, extremely friendly staff and varied menu. If eating before 7pm on weekdays they offer a 3 course set menu for £13.50 which is fantastic value for money. An absolute must try if visiting Winchester. I am relatively local and dine here often. Food is excellent, you will not be disappointed.

We visit Cote Winchester very regular on a pre visit meal before going to the Theatre, and Cote have never failed to please. The quality of the food is superb and they offer really the best value in town, and they employee excellent staff, who always offer good service and are willing to explain any food problems. Cote are superb at offering a Gluten Free menu, which is so useful to one of my party. No complaints at all!!!!

Very happy with the food and the service and would have given 6 but our choice of pudding was not available. We went home without but otherwise a great lunch!

What a way to start the day, always a joy

Lovely meal, as always in a beautiful restaurant. One member of our group was very late and the staff were very good, we weren't rushed or bothered or ignored as we waited for our companion.

Another great meal at Cote with efficient and friendly service and excellent food on the set menu. The creme caramel is always an excellent dessert. We will be back soon.

Interesting seasonal menu, friendly personal service, timing just right, good house wines. Always good value. We prefer early evening when it is not so busy.

We had a very enjoyable early evening meal. My first choice wasn't available but the waitress checked in the kitchen and they were able to make it for me as they had one portion left. I appreciated that she checked and didn't just suggest I pick something else from the menu. All the food was good, the service was efficient and it was good value for money

Excellent food and attentive friendly staff. I am coeliac and they looked after me very well, remembering at every course, and I felt completely safe eating my gluten free flagged food. Cote Brasseries everywhere really are the best for coeliacs as there is so much choice.

My friend and I felt the overall experience was not up to the restaurants usual standard. We chose the special luncheon menu at aprox £11. The starter, leeks in a non descript sauce, was stringy and tasteless and the miniscule main course of fish, whilst well cooked, looked very unappetising on a bed of dull coloured beans. Disappointing. We use this restaurant a lot but might have to think again in the future.

Cote Brassiere in Winchester is an excellent restaurant. The food is consistently good, the staff are extremely friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Also very good value for money.

Lovely meal and great service. Very welcoming and attentive . Would highly recommend . The food was cooked to perfection. A steady pace not too rushed and waitress kept filling wine glasses. Happy Days

Brought my 2o year old granddaughter & partner, eat in many Winchester restaurants but had never been to Cote, were well impressed & will come again, Great!

I always enjoy eating here, be it a modestly priced lunch from one of the set menus with the girls or dinner with friends from the a la carte. The staff are always so welcoming.

When we booked we rrqiested a particular table. The restaurant had not bothered to read that request. Crepes for desert were dry. Not a particularly warm welcome when we arrived.

Superb food and superb service - as always. Such a nice atmosphere and ambience! Always very happy to come here; rarely are there ever grounds for disappointment. And very good value!

Courteous and very pleasant staff. Set luncheon menu excellent and good value. Only complaint being that I requested a window seat on booking several weeks before our visit and this was not made available.

Spinach salad and hake were delicious. Sat me even though I was late for my reservation. Great service. Chef even let me switch the vegetable to something I prefer rather than what came with the dish. Always enjoy my visits here.
