The fish stew is excellent.and the creme caramel is delicious. Good choice of wines and impeccable service.

Service was a little slow towards the end of our visit today but we enjoyed our experience of dining with you and sharing it with our American family.

Excelllent lunch. Apparent uncertainty over which menu available - A La Carte only and not Special as well - whereas previous experience has been that both are valid as a subscriber benefit. Needs to be clarified.

Good service and good food in an attractive and clean situation.

The food was very good as usual although the pissaladiere was over cooked and burnt round the edges. The service was fine to begin with but then deteriorated. After waiting some 30 minutes after our main course I had to go and find a waiter to get desert which arrived 40 minutes after finishing our main courses. I would not have left a tip in the circumstances however it was included in the bill and I did not ask for it to be removed to save embarrassment for the young waiter as I suspect the failing was not his but down to management not providing adequate staff.

Lovely food as always, and fab service from the one waiter doing a great job running around after quite a few tables when all the other wait staff had gone home.

It was an eventful evening as we were evacuated due to a fire in the kitchen. However the staff were excellent in terms of evacuating with minimal fuss and most importantly telling us exactly what was happening. Once it was apparent the restaurant would not re-open tonight, they were apologetic and dealt with the whole situation excellently I would commend all the staff for how they handled a difficult situation. Thank you

Great group evening although we needed more drinks service at times. Not sure about the pre-order menus as it changed after we had made our choices and the prices changed as well...probably need a group set menu that is standard to group bookings? Despite this a nice evening enjoyed by all and the food was very good.

The service was good but the veal dish I had from the summer menu was very poor. It was an over cooked piece of meat on sloppy potatoes and vegetables

Friendly and knowledgable waiters, amazing well cooked and presented food with a great variety of French favourites. Appreciated the cool a/c in the upstairs part of the restaurant! A wonderful evening meal out with family in a great setting! The duck breast and calamari were superb!

A nice rounded lunch time menu, nice presentation and cooking though cut of beef far from lean. Staff polite but need to smarten themselves up (nails, general attention to presentation). Overall a fair lunchtime venue. Thanks

As a regular user of Cote, in many differing areas, I have invariably been pleased with the overall quality of the food and the standard of service. It was all the more disappointing to be offerred a glass of Kir Royalle for myself and my guests to celebrate my birthday, only to be informed on arrival in Winchester, that this only applied if we chose from the a la carte menu. This was not specified when Cote sent me the invitation, and I consider this to be at best misleading and at worst somewhat distant from the truth. It rather spoiled the overall day, whic was supposed to be a celebration of my birthday with old friends.

We were down from Cheshire for a long weekend break and the Saturday meal we had was so good, we booked for Sunday night as well.

The food, atmosphere was excellent, so much so we returned the next night. It was Sunday so not as busy, we were the lady diners in the restaurant but absolutely no rush for us to leave.

Easy quick serve. Unobtrusive and good selection of specials. Clean and spacious restaurant
