We love dining here. The service and food is always devine

The safest restaurant in town with every measure taken to comply with Covid rules. But, it was so quiet with only a few lunchtime tables taken. Only people from same household rule is clearly having a big effect on bookings. It's a shame and we feel for Cote and their staff. The staff and the food were fantastic and the only reason I'll be marking the atmosphere down is because it was so quiet. Not the fault of Cote at all.

Delicious meal. Well attended and friendly staff too. It did get noisy once the two tables either side were filled, but there not much to be done about that.

First time I had visited a restaurant since March. Quite nervous but pleased to be distanced from other diners. Had champagne brunch and the food quality was excellent. Only gripe was tea pot not filled very high, but the pleasant waitress would have topped this up if we’d asked. As it was water, tea, juice and champagne gave us plenty of liquids!

As always a lovely meal with great service. The food is excellent and we enjoyed the fact we can come out to eat again! Not massively impressed with the figue aperitif - just fuzzy wine tbh. Apart from that all was great. Just wondering why we we have cote at home it doesn’t taste anywhere near as good 😂

We had a lovely meal last night. There were very few people, but the atmosphere was still lovely. The service was charming and the food delicious. So lovely to be out for dinner.

The food as ever was excellent but unfortunately the same could not be said of the service which was terrible. The restaurant was very quiet but we had to wait a long time before a drinks order was taken and when it arrived it was wrong, the champagne we were served was flat and I wish I had complained there and then. During the meal we were asked if ‘you guys are ok’, we’re all OAP’s so not really appropriate. I appreciate times are very hard for the hospitality industry, I was a publican myself for 38 years and very glad I’m out of it now, but I believe you should deliver the service that the customer is paying for. When I asked for the bill I said that I wasn’t willing to pay the service charge and was just told ‘ok’, I was never asked what I wasn’t happy about.

Went in for brunch. Everything in place for COVID. Staff made us welcome. Menu had good choices, I opted for the French Breakfast which came with brioche toast which made a pleasant change. My tea was served in the cute China teapot with matching cup and saucer. Will return soon.

Was lovely to be back out in a restaurant abs you guys didn’t disappoint. Wonderful service (as always) and delicious food. The team were warm and attentive, Greta with the children and couldn’t have made us more welcome. Thank you and I hope it gets busier and you’re all safe and sound

Outstanding as always! Fantastic champagne brunch and friendly and efficient service.

Food was fabulous. Absolutely superb menu and clean plates after every course. The service was appalling. Repeatedly had to get a member of staff attention to: 1. Bring over glasses for water after water brought to table 2. Take food order 3. Request forgotten drinks order 4. Request side plates 5. Request a spoon for sides: to which their staff's esponse was we don't serve these with a spoon. Would you still like one? 6. Added alcoholic drink to the menu without my knowledge and then remove this acting like they doing me a favour? Manager then insisted on goodwill of paying for desert and drinks ( one cider and one orange juice) but then applied the optional service charge with asking. The Full cash tip went to the kitchen team as the food was faultless. Be mindful of the somewhat predejuice service team for what looked like an empty restaurant.

I would say that Cote is one of my favourite restaurants and the experiences are often excellent. However, my recent visit to Cote in Winchester was very disappointing. Despite the section of the restaurant we were seated in holding just my husband and I, and another couple, the hostess decided to seat us on the table less than a metre from them. I contested this and asked if we could sit on the table next to it to adhere to safer distancing measures. Whilst she looked confused by my request we sat at the table next to it as I had suggested. Our meal arrived in good time and was yummy, although we were disappointed that the normal juice and hot drink with the breakfast offer that had been running for years was no longer an option. During our meal, the hostess decided to seat another couple in between myself and the first table that were there. Meaning there were now 6 people shoved into a tiny space when the rest of the restaurant was completely empty! I was concerned that the hostess had no regard for COVID measures! Overall, the food was good, but we paid more than usual and unfortunately, I would not visit this branch again given they do not adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Was a bit lack lustre today atmosphere a bit lacking Why no Christmas music it’s the 5th December today when we were there! Put through the back of the restaurant at a table for 4 when there were just the two of us when plenty of tables for two available! Food and service was OK but the ambience was just missing

So lovely to be back at Cote Winchester for breakfast. Very covid safe, plenty of space between tables etc. Treated ourselves to the champagne breakfast and really pleased we did.

Food was usual standard apart from the starter which was served with very brown and limp leaves which I commented on to the waitress.

Côte is, quite simply, my favourite restaurant in the city: delicious food, great ambiance, fabulous service and friendly, attentive and professional staff always make my experience sublime. That’s why I am a regular customer 😁

Really pleasant evening. Social distancing fully in place but not allowed to spoil the atmosphere. Staff, as always, welcoming and pleasant; menu choices as good as ever; food well prepared and presented.
