It was a beautiful day and we decided to have lunch in the garden at Cote, St Albans. The staff were great, food was lovely, and the atmosphere was wonderful.
Such a treat to back. Wonderful food, excellent service, fabulous lunch. Thank you Cotes x
Great food and lovely friendly staff, gorgeous outside seating area
Usually love Cote but this visit wasn’t great, my lobster was cold and rubbery.
Lovely meal Lovely setting Could of been a little more attentive
It was so lovely to be back at Cote on their second day open! In spite of the more socially distanced tables the atmosphere was buzzy and the staff as always so friendly and efficient and very happy to be back. No table d’hote menu at the moment but we were not disappointed with our choices from the a la carte.
Good table layout, pleasant waiter and excellent food and service as always.
Pleased to see Cote back working. Very clean, table spaced sensibly. Menu slightly reduced, but most of the favourites available.
Very good service. Food quality outstanding. Will definitely come back again .
Almost the first customers after reopening. Tables all rearranged for social distancing and waiters in visors. My sea bass was enormous and the steak frites looked amazing. Nice to be back.
Fantastic service and customer care. A superb meal thank you
My overall experience was disappointing and the food was not as good as usual. The Rhubarb martini was nice but the rose petals were inedible and spoilt it. The lamb loin chops were good quality but the pea, bacon and crouton side was not very nice and I couldn’t eat it. The May special creme brûlée was very good but my wife had the apple tart which was mainly pastry and contained very few apples. She raised it with the staff who kindly removed the charge from the bill. Unfortunately we were surrounded by larger groups of people and it was very noisy. The restaurant is quite large so perhaps in future they could explore placing large groups away from the tables for couples or smaller number of diners in order to minimise the noise disturbance.

Very busy and we appeared to get off on the wrong foot, however the lady in charge of our table rectified this very swiftly and we enjoyed 4 complimentary gin and tonics. The food was excellent, the menu choice as always is very good, the only problem is trying to decide what to choose. We ate from both the March specials menu, a la carte and the 2/3 course fixed price menu. We all ate different courses and each one looked very tasty.
The service was attentive and the atmosphere was great, the food was average - sirloin steak quite gristly and fries over cooked . Starters were good
We had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch at Cote Brasserie on Saturday. The food was beautifully cooked and served by courteous and efficient staff. Nothing marred our enjoyment. We would certainly visit again.
Good food and service. Noise level too loud, we could not hold a conversation with our friends which spolit the evening.
Food was really great but the evening was marred by the fact that the wine I ordered did not come with or before my meal. I had to get up and ask for it which I eventually got half way through my food
As always, a lovely welcome from the staff on entering the restaraunt .My friends and I had the free Gin and Tonic offer which was a lovely start to an excellent meal.We have been coming since it opened and have never been disappointed !
Went for an anniversary meal. The Food really good as was the service but both my courses (starter & main), were lukewarm which was a pity.
We had a good birthday lunch as a family of 5. . Great menu choice and also liked the lunchtime specials. Will return some time for sure
Great food. Great value set meal. We had the three course meal for 13.50 it was delicious, the sea bream in particular was very tasty and then I had my all time favourite for dessert, the chocolate pot. great service, Will definitely be back
Delightful to sit outside under a blossoming tree Great meal and service and really enjoyed the burgers and glass of rose Will be back some time soon
Very enjoyable breakfast this morning. A couple of friends and me had a great spot outside in the garden with the sun on our backs. Service was excellent and food was great. The value here is exceptional.
It was lovely - but we were charged for a green salad which we didn’t order! We ate it because we thought it was complimentary, but it wasn’t!
Lovely food, great cocktails and really good customer service. I had a lovely birthday meal with friends here - one of my favourite restaurants. Will definitely come back.
Food was fantastic but unfortunately some of the staf were very blunt and seemed very uninterested. They were unaccomodating and started moving and cleaning the tables/chairs before people had finished eating
Had a lovely brunch here, really enjoyed it and will be back
Bought the wrong items to the table twice. Staff dropping plates, trays and other items throughout the service and generally very noisy. Didn't seem to be quite as much care as usual - a bit slap dash.
Good food, good service and good value. Will come again.
Great food, as always staff so sociable and warm! Love xx
Cote St.Albans is a happy place. The staff are great the food is good. Why go anywhere else. . . . . .. .. ..
Brilliant first experience of Cote. Super gluten free menu. It was my Mum's 70th birthday and they kindly brought out a complimentary dessert with Happy Birthday written in chocolate - a lovely surprise and really appreciated. I will definitely return.
Lovely martini and Asparagus starters. I then had a lovely Swordfish steak but unfortunately my friend had a Lamb Chop which was gristly and undercooked.

Fabulous meal and fantastic service. The steak, swordfish and duck was to die for. Serices also good even though the restaurant was busy. Thoroughly recommend for an enjoyable evening out.
Lovely lunch again. Food and service was very good as it was a week ago when I visited for dinner. There was a slight delay in serving the olives and the water was forgotten but was quickly brought when asked. This was not a problem as my friend and I were in no hurry. We both had the salmon starter which was very tasty and the minute steak which was also very good. I chose the apple tart for desert with the vanilla ice cream and again was scrumpy. Also good atmosphere for a Saturday lunchtime.
It was all delicious Service was efficient and fast Food was good Wine was a. It over-priced but otherwise it was a good experience We have been to Cote in other cities. And equally good food and service and slightly expensive wine!
Good food a little noisy, service was good sometimes a little too fast. Food hot which is excellent and arrived promptly after ordering, occasional prompting for some items ordered
Delicious food, and lovely service. A great place to visit
Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere & great service. A wonderful evening spent with friends. The food was delicious and the new February cocktail was amazing! A great night.
Was able to get a table at short notice on a Saturday night. It was warm and welcoming. Waiting staff were attentive while being able to eat in peace, not rushed even when the restaurant was busy and no waiting on courses and the food was good quality
Came here yesterday with 2 friends and last week with a party of 10.I always enjoy my meals and the great atmosphere. My number one choice for meeting up with friends to enjoy a meal.
Great, fast service and very helpful and friendly. When the restaurant is full, it can get a little noisy but this is more a comment to keep in mind as opposed to anything negative about the restaurant.
Really enjoyed the experience, staff very pleasant and nothing to much of s problem
We had a lovely experience at Côte. Our waiter was incredible professional and very attentive. He even provided a candle for my son’s dessert! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much.
Superb night Really enjoyed the occasion we came last year for valentines this year was even better Can’t wait for next year Aren’t many better places Regards Robert
Great food and great value for money. Slightly quiet for a Tuesday evening but the service was Great. Would definitely go back soon. The wine offer was great and I would highly recommend.
Always a great place for lunch. Service is good and all the staff are very friendly
Fabulous food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend this restaurant
Great town, great little restaurant and food. Service was good and very discreet. Worth a visit if in the area. Menus are always great value.
We took our granddaughter who was 13 years old today to celebrate her birthday with her younger sister. The meal was lovely as always and the staff attentive. They brought a lit candle in her dessert and sang happy birthday and she was delighted. Such a lovely gesture. We go most weeks for lunch normally and have never been disappointed. Well done Cote 😊
