Generally consistently good food and service. No glazed carrots any more was a shock but staff friendly and helpful.

Comfortable atmosphere, amazing food, fab staff, can always count on my favorite place.

Amazing steaks and lovely service finished by a yummy cheese board. Will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Food was average & service was non existent. Server was nothing more than an order taker. Host who seated us when asked if we could order a drink from her “hurry up I’m on the door” followed by “I’m only joking”. Ordered lamb medium came rare, when asked if we wanted any sides asked the server what it came with she said potatoes so we ordered peas only to see the lamb came with peas! Clearly no menu knowledge. No topping up of wine, no check back, change of cutlery just thrown down not placed properly yet 12.5% service charge for what service? . And restaurant was not busy. One member of the management team just walks around doing nothing she could have been checking on tables etc at least! Won’t be returning as very disappointed after first outing in over 5 months.

Great food and service, we had a really great time.

This was my second visit to this restaurant the venue is beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff couldn’t be any more friendlier and the service was exceptional. I’ll definitely be back and look forward to it.

Superb! We hadn't been out for months due to lockdown but it was well worth the wait. The service was excellent, well organised, warm and friendly. The food was exceptional and all round a great experience. Thank you for such a fantastic evening, can't wait to visit you again very soon!

All the staff were so kind, cheerful and they gave excellent service. The food was delicious. We were not rushed and waitresses gave us plenty of time to sit over our meal.

The venue was so very hot we had to leave early. They had experienced a power failure and issue with the gas main so in fairness under the circumstances the team a managed it as well as they could.

Excellent food as ever and reliable service. Too warm for comfort due to lack of air conditioning policy with regard to Covid-19, but otherwise great.

Great food and service. We visited with our elderly parents and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Sat in the courtyard garden on a very hot evening which had a nice ambience and some partitioning that kept the sound volumes low.

Food and staff excellent as always, a little warm tonight inside to be comfortable.

Underwhelming, especially the dessert menu. Could have done with more USPs on the menu.

Sitting outside on a hot evening was glorious. My friend and I took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme. I eat the same dish every time but last night the food didn’t meet the same high standards. My calamari was cold and the chicken was tough.

So nice for restaurant to be back open, great food and service as always.

Just perfect! Great service, delicious food and lovely place. Good COVID procedures and hoping that soon the tables can be increased to 8 people in order to enjoy with our family. Thank you for a lovely meal/experience.

A most enjoyable 3 course meal, feeling safe in their garden with attentive waiters making sure we were well looked after.

Lovely evening and delicious food. Beautiful new patio in back. Was really looking forward to the lobster but you ran out. Had the fantastic fresh grilled tuna salad. We’ll return soon and hopefully be able to eat the lobster. 🌺

A very pleasent environment and the food was of good quality. Though I thought the portions were on the small side, in comparison to other venues. Very friendly staff and a professional service. But the beer and cider was served warm and not much choice. All round a pleasent evening. But from a personal perspective there is room for improvement.

Great food, lovely table in the garden. Only slight criticism is food arrives v left quickly. So we purposely didn’t order our mains until after we had finished starters.

A very pleasant experience. The quality of the food was very good, the service smooth, and we had a lovely time. I specially recommend the crêpes for dessert.

Porn stars are the new clientele! It was great to back to Cote after all this time and was looking forward to the usual standard. Food wasn’t up to the standard of 5 months ago. I’ve been to Cote 100s of times (it’s a fail safe restaurant and always happy with food/service no matter where in the country I’ve been) but this time found the mains bland and poorly presented. Wine was mediocre. Butter with the starter was frozen so almost impossible to spread. Outside looked a bit messy and staff too intrusive constantly asking if the food is ok by 3 separate members of staff (a bit too much) whilst eating. Finally the lady behind us looked like a porn star using vulgar language.

Wonderful food and great service and dining in the garden is a real trast!

Delightful setting, very good food and excellent service. (It was a warm evening and we were able to eat outside, at the far end of the site.)

I have to say. The goats cheese salad was not great. The toasty thing was as hard as nails and the lettuce was just clumps of iceberg root. Not good. And the chocolate mousse wasn’t it’s normal amazing self!

Excellent service. Steaks were a little chewier than previously but otherwise great!

Côte St Albans is like a wonderful present wrapped with a pretty bow. It was my husband’s birthday and so we had gone to celebrate as a family.( my daughters under 13years came along as well) From the moment we walked through the door, the friendly and professional wait staff were attentive. We chose to sit outside and were thoroughly impressed. The back garden was even better than the inside. Although it was summer and we went on an especially hot day, we couldn’t tell as it was surprisingly cool and breezy. As the lockdown had been lifted just a month ago, some restaurants had a limited menu but not Côte. The menu was very comprehensive and everything we ordered was so tasty. The food also came very quickly which was a big plus! I would go back in a heartbeat ! If you are looking for somewhere to go to celebrate as a couple, family or business, then this is the place for you.

Because of the Eat out to help out, I can’t complain. Maybe it’s not the place to eat calamari. Bread crumbs 10/10 actual calamari 3/10...had the burger 6/10. Service was good and we sat outside which was lovely.... would I go again? Only if it was ‘eat out to help out’

Never again! 40 mins after finishing our starters we were still waiting for our entrees. The waitress was rude and unconcerned. Couples who were seated after us were finishing their main meal and we were still waiting.

We love the Cote St Albans and it was great to be back. Sitting in the garden with a glass of bubbly and a lovely tuna salad what could be better. We'll be back

Lovely to be able to eat out here again - really friendly staff, well spaced tables and relaxed atmosphere. Sanitisation very subtle and non intrusive. Great food, quality wine and a genuinely relaxing evening.

Having eaten in Cote Brasserie many times before it was good to be back, and benefiting from the government subsidy. The welcome and service were up to the usual high standard. I have marked down the food based on the following: Starter - Calamari - this was overcooked and tasteless. I seem to remember (but I could be confusing it with another restaurant) that the calamari is usually in a light batter with good seasoning rather than hard breadcrumbs with no seasoning. Disappointing. Main - Pork Belly - Excellent in every way. Dessert - Crepes - Really sticky and heavy, making them unpleasant to eat. Very disappointing.

I am so glad you have re opened - the food and service are the best, my favourite place for dinner - though it would be even better if I could go to the theatre too - we can dream!

It's great to have a high quality restaurant to rely on especially on a Sunday night post lockdown when everything else had stopped serving. The food was delicious and the service friendly and relaxed as always. Thanks Cote!

The first half of our service was amazing. We felt safe. The food was great as always. However after receiving our starters and mains and the dishes were collected, we were forgotten. We had to call someone over after 20 to 25 mins and asked for the bill as we just wanted to leave by then. No opportunity to order a pudding or have a hot drink if we wanted to order anything extra. 6 out of 10 today!
