Côte St Albans

Arrived and was greeted by a very friendly young man. Was asked where we would like to sit As it was my birthday we had complimentry kir royales which went down very nicely! We had the set menu which was very nice we had steak which has a supplement of £2 We had dificulty choosing wine which is reasonabe for resaraunt prices. The waiter helped by giving us a blind tasting and amazilngly we chose house wine which was very nice we had a very good day thank you

Excellent brunch this morning - would only have been improved by more prompt arrival of our tea/coffee as we had virtually finished eating by the time they arrived.

Excellent restaurant, food delicious. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Visited this Cotes many times with various friends and we all agree it's first class.

Tasty Fayre, enjoyed in a good atmosphere with very efficient and friendly service. This restaurant has both consistent food and service, and is always a pleasure to visit.

Not as great an atmosphere compared to other Cotes restaurants. One dish was not hit and meant I could not eat with my family Not warm staff very stiff and formal.

Busy, fun, good fresh food and good value. Parking close by and lots of shopping and other restaurants. By the way twenty five words are to much.

Really good staff,accommodated our last minute booking. They were very busy. Food was fantastic and atmosphere was buzzing. Will definitely revisit but book well in advance!

Food and wine extremely good, and service quick. A glass with wine was accidently dropped and broken. After having it cleared up, the manager replaced it with another glass of wine - impressive.

We were a party of seven and we were pleased with our meals. Service was slower than we would have liked and I think there is an assumption that when a large party are out for a meal, that is their priority for the day. In fact we all had to make long journeys home that afternoon. Nevertheless a pleasant meal and excellent value as usual.

The free wine was of poor quality, calamari very good as were main courses albeit the pork belly was salty. The tarte citron was sent back twice as it was stale and the pastry wet and spongy. This was replaced by a tarte tatin that was so unbelieveably sweet that it was inedible. Staff courteous but the manager was clearly stressed due to how busy the restaurant was. Overall the worst Cote meal that we have had which is a shame as generally very good indeed as experienced in Exeter, London and Bishops Stortford.

Had a lovely meal and service was good too! Only issue was they kept leaving door to back garden open and the cold draught was awful! Apparently table across from us was too warm which we found very hard to believe. We left before deserts in the end.

professionally run establishment with very pleasant staff. With the food supplied at reasonable prices. We will be returning to this restaurant when we next visit St Albans.

Food could not be faulted. Service sloppy, it has not improved with time. Tiny bottles of beer at sky high prices is a put off.

As always, a very nice meal with excellent service. Set menu before 7.00 pm is superb value for money. Highly recommend restaurant. Staff always very attentive.

The staff are polite and reasonably efficient. You are never waiting too long which is important to me. Don't like the fact that they automatically add 12.5% on to the bill, but I asked them to remove it and they did promptly. I paid a tip separately,Food is always nice and tasty - we went for the light and early and had a lovely meal. I had the pear and goats cheese salad - very tasty but only a small amount. For main, I had the chicken and couscous - small portion, but at the end I was completely satisfied. My husband said he would have liked a little more, but it was fine.

Great food and great service. My friend and I had a lovely time. Will definitely come back again soon. Lovely surroundings, staff friendly an polite.

Service excellent and food and wine good but the chicken in my chicken salad could have been hotter. Food not as good as at the Cirencester Cote.

Went to COTE in St Albans with wife and friends. We received a warm welcome, with immediate drinks and nibbles while we chose our preferred dishes. We had a 3 course meal with wine and coffee. The food was excellent, and arrived promptly and carefully served. The bottle of house white wine was very pleasant and suited our choice of meals. We spent nearly 3 hours there, and yet we never felt rushed, in fact the service was attentive and first class. We have always enjoyed eating in Cote restaurants, and this one certainly maintained their high reputation in our opinion.

Food was a bit processed and felt as if it had not been freshly made. We had to ask a few times to get items requested such as water or mayonnaise.

This is our local Cote restaurant that we visit regularly. The atmosphere, service and food were up to the usual very high standards. Will visit again.

A delicious meal and excellent service , we sat outside on a sunny day in tbe pretty courtyard. An enjoyable experience as always at Cote St Albans !

A great venue for brunch. Staff friendly & helpful but no too 'in your face'. Good value for money. Please introduce more advocado dishes though.

We had a good welcome and our waiter was attentive. Our meals were cooked to a good standard. However one main course and one dessert did not come at the same time as the rest of the order. Apart from that it was a very enjoyable lunch

Always good value for foid and wine. well presented and staff delightful as usual to look after customers. Only improvement is that could be a bit quieter!

Brilliant as always- excellent service, lovely set menu lunch (really good for set menu stuff). Went to Cote in Canterbury and v disappointed. Came to St Albans again - faith renewed !

We have always enjoyed our evenings out at Cote Brasserie St Albans and the most recent one was just as good: we love the decor inside the restaurant, the staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is reliably good.

Good food as always and good service. It's nice to go somewhere where you know what you're going to get and it lives up to expectations.

Service and staff were excellent. Had the set lunch menu but the fish main course dish was appalling, really tasteless. Will not go again- very disappointing.

Great meal, lovely atmosphere. Staff were very helpful on the night and attentive. The 10 year annivertmenu was had by all and great choice on it.

The menu gave a good selection, and was well presented. Our waitress had a smile and was pleasant with the service. SO a most enjoyable lunch experience which is what I would expect it to be.

Nice food, and good service. Only slight issue was that they struggled to cope as soon as things got busy and we had to wait quite a long time for desserts menus and then the bill.

Poor quality mussels very small and scrawny. Had to send back the fillet steak as tough.Have eaten here several times, need to keep their eye on the ball.

After a warm welcome, our family party was seated ready for an early evening dinner to celebrate our daughter's graduation. I was delighted that my request for some appropriate table decoration had been noted - the confetti was perfect. We were also served champagne at the beginning, as requested, with the prefect timing given for us to settle in and feel comfortable. All the menu choices were delicious and the service was impeccable throughout. Thank you for a lovely meal and a fitting way to end a day of celebration.
