The waitress was really moody all night And although the food was nice, the portions was so tiny for the price I paid Would of been nice to have a waitress who actually smiled

We had the early menu which consists of 2 courses for £10.95. Excellent value and good choice of food on menu. Service efficient and polite

Catered very well for anyone with dietary restrictions (gluten free menu is extensive). Food was delicious and the service was lovely! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

The service was good and attentive and ambience fine but the quality of food could be improved. Looked like re-heating of vegetables; dried out potatoes.

My own dish was fine, bur my wife went for one of the specials which was chicken. She found it dry and it tasted as if it had been pre cooked and heated up. Deserts were nice as always. Staff were friendly and attentive.

It was a busy day so it may be the reason the steak was on the cool side and the special dessert seemed overtired and overcooked. Not up to their usual best, felt a bit like a chain restaurant meal - which for many years it has managed to rise well above.

We had a very pleasant evening at Cote, St Albans. The food was excellent and the service great. I visit Cote on a fairly regular basis and am happy to recommend it to friends.

This is the second time we have been to Cote this week, the food is consistently good, service is also good, nothing was too much trouble.

Really enjoyed my time at Cotes in St Albans. The atmosphere was really relaxed, and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant had catered for my special dietary needs. Food was really good value, had the lunch set menu, and received a complimentary bottle of wine. Would definitely go again.

Overall our experience was generally good. The greeting we received by the young man was rather casual and could have been more professional, perhaps this is due a lack of training? I had to ask for our table to be wiped as clearly something had been spilt by a previous customer, the new table setting had been laid over this, however, the table was cleaned by the waitress who was attentive and pleasant.

Another lovely meal at Cote, beautiful weather so we could sit outside in their lovely garden. Beautifully cooked steak and a delicious chocolate mousse to finish. Great staff and good service overall.

Our breakfasts were freshly prepared and good ingredients. Service was prompt and friendly and the price was reasonable. My scrambled egg was particularly good as it was creamy and my companion's poached eggs had impressively deep yellow yolks.

I had the ore theatre menu, my husband a la carte. Both very tasty and good value. The decor is nice and service great. We will be returning

Good atmospehere, great food at reasonable prices. We visited on a Sunday when it was full of families with children but we still enjoyed our visit.

We had a choice of table and service was excellent throughout. Food delicious and attractively presented. Good wine list with reasonable prices. Cote proves that a chain can deliver quality dining at a reasonable price.

We visited for a late lunch so restaurant was quiet. Staff were very attentive and pacing of courses just right. Both fixed menu and a la carte choices were nicely prepared and presented, everything delicious.

great meal, great staff never fails this place.......a fail safe go to..........Not top of the tree but if you want a decent fairly priced dinner then this is the place

As always, excellent food and good service which is set at just the right pace! Extensive menu with a good variety of dishes for carnivors and vegetarians alike! One of my all time favourite places to eat!

We were annoyed. We gave the waiter a £20.00 tip and then discovered that there was already a 12.5% service charge on the bill. Disgraceful!

The staff were really accommodating with my food request (changing and adding different items) to make the perfect crepe. A relaxing and attractive dining setting, will be back!

A very pleasant experience. Great food, reasonably priced and very attentive staff. The restaurant is large enough to feel relaxed in and the unrushed atmosphere makes for a perfect Sunday afternoon family meal.

Great service. A couple of items missing from the menu, but the lady explained the Bank Holiday meant they had not had a delivery. Will return.

Service and welcome excellent, 2 meals out of 3 excellent but one rib eye steak was poor. Would return but likely I won't have steak next time!

Very disappointing!! Been to the Cotrs which we've liked. The restaurant was very quiet and the Waitrose managed to get my drink wrong - my starter wrong. It was rectified but shouldn't have happened to start with. My friend's soup was cold and got sent back. Generally not a great experience!!

Went for a pre theatre dinner. Not the best meal I've had at Cote but it was OK. We got free Kir Royales from our theatre tickets, which was a bonus, but the waiter failed to bring a drink I ordered at the end of the meal. I would go back though.

Went for lunch which was very pleasant, nice and roomy restaurant in St.Albans with friendly caring waitress.We all had the set menu which was varied and met our needs.

Well it could not be any better. We had a table by the window, the service was superb and the food absolutely delicious. We stayed there from 1 to 3 p.m because we felt so at ease . Wonderful staff Delicious food

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance. The staff are friendly and the service was good despite the restaurant being busy. Our meals were well cooked and tasty.

Excellent! The meal was delicious, we went before 7pm to get the early dinner menu which is incredible value for money. The service was great too.

Not as great an atmosphere compared to other Cotes restaurants. One dish was not hit and meant I could not eat with my family Not warm staff very stiff and formal.

Lovely busy , buzzy restaurant with a good atmosphere. Quite noisy on a Saturday lunchtime but the service was good & the food delicious and fresh.

We were served very promptly in the restaurant and the service was good throughout the meal. We ordered two main courses with vegetables from the main menu and they were excellent.

Excellent service and delicious brunch. Would recommend the vegetarian breakfast or the eggs florentine. Staff very friendly and attentive. Spacious tables with plenty of room for our baby pram. Will definitely be back.

Excellent brunch this morning - would only have been improved by more prompt arrival of our tea/coffee as we had virtually finished eating by the time they arrived.

Position of table was poor, dimly lit. Couldn't see what I was eating. Food was ok but the service was good. Quandoo can doo one.
