Great food and ambience. The Breton Chicken is always good, the sourdough bread is gorgeous and the Crepes Chantilly was sublime, I just wish it was available all the time.

we have eaten at this branch since it opened. breakfast or lunch or dinner. always very good under all headings. the garden is an added attraction.

The restaurant was very airy and bright. The value of meals was reasonable, I will definitely be going again. We were well looked after by our waiter.

Very efficient service and good quality food, for the price, on a busy Saturday evening. Wine was also good value for money. It's very popular, justifiably so, so don't expect a quiet evening's dining at the weekend.

This is a great place to eat, excellent food, well cooked and super service. Something for everyone. Staff very helpful and obliging. If you haven't been try it.

Food was lovely as ever and we really enjoyed our meal; however, there were several times we had to correct the server on our order as she kept quoting it back incorrectly (we actually were still brought a wrong drink which we had to get replaced). We also weren't brought our bill at the end of the meal - had I not been proactive when we left we probably would have been allowed to leave without paying! Also, the garden needed a bit of a sweep with all the fallen leaves on floors/seats!

We visited Cote for a family occasion. There were five of us, including a vegetarian and a confirmed meat eater. Cote's menu allowed plenty of choice for both so family harmony was guaranteed. The staff were pleasant and attentive. My only slight criticism would be about the noise level. Like a lot of modern restaurants, there were hard surfaces everywhere, add on a very noisy toddler (not Cote's fault) and noise levels became deafening.

Very busy, clearly understaffed. Even though i had reserved a table for 3 adults, a baby in a high chair and a toddler they weren't expecting us. We had to wait a long time for a high chair which made a meal with babies very stressful!

Lovely food and atmosphere but service very slow which meant we could not have dessert as going on to theatre. Lovely waitress but covering too large an area.

Great friendly team. Always given a warm welcome. Food is lovely. Perfect for a regular Friday night treat. When the weather is good sitting in the garden offers a perfect setting.

Enjoyable evening. We dined from the early evening menu which was good value. Nice food, particularly the langoustine starter and crumble dessert. We enjoyed friendly service.

Really like this restaurant - the service and quality are always consistently good! We arrived at a very busy time last Friday night but they still met our expectations - food was promt and excellent.

If we are to visit you every couple of weeks or so, it is important that the menu varies so that for instance, if we like fish, the next time we arrive there is a different fish available. I am not impressed with large portions as it ends up with only having two courses instead of three!. Hope t his helps. Peter Culpitt

Cote in St Albans is usually a sure thing. Today the service was under par - we decided not to bother with desserts because it had already taken ages to have the plates cleared from the table and there were no signs of the dessert menus. Food was good as always - thought it was a bit naughty that we were given (and charged for) an adult sized meal when it was clear that the 10 year old was ordering from the child menu.

The restaurant was VERY hot, we were all actually sweating - the 'manager' told me that the Air Conditioning was broken and she was hoping to get it fixed in 6 months - I said "just in time for christmas then"... Very uncomfortable - we left early - even though we would have liked puddings and coffee.

Nice spacious restaurant, very good service from pleasant, good Selection of dishes cooked well, nice presentation. Quality wine list at reasonable prices. Would recommend and will certainly return.

Four of us ate here on a Sunday early evening and the food, service and atmosphere was excellent!! I have now eaten here three times within as many weeks and I have to say that each time I have enjoyed various meals. Such good value too if you want a cheaper two course meal but still reasonable from the a la crate.

For a meal before a show at the Albany Arena I decided to have a meal at the Cote Brasserie and I was delighted to find the food was delicious and the service was very fast. The waiting staff were very helpful in helping me to decided on what I would like to eat. I definitely would recommend this restaurant if you are coming to spend some time in St Albans.

The staff were very welcoming and arranged to bring our birthday cake out. The food was excellent and all 8 of us enjoyed it. Thank you

Excellent. Fine dining in a fine venue accompanied by polite & friendly staff who provide excellent service. Reasonably priced and varied menu has put the 'Cote' at the top of my local restaurants list.

Really lovely food, great service and a great atmosphere. My Dad loved it and he's a total fuss pot! We will definitely be returning soon!

As always excellent food and service. Swopped the frites with the grilled plaice for jersey royals. Delicious. Had the creme brûlée and creme caramel for dessert - always the best.

Very good lunch experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Varied menu and good value special menu. Not rushed and to be repeated lunch time event. Drinks at a reasonable price.

Friendly welcome. Given time to settle. Relaxed service and lovely fresh food. So pleased that it was real orange juice - well seemed to not be from concentrate! Would come again.

Once again we were able to book our specific favourite table and received a warm welcome in arrival. It was very good service even though the restaurant was extremely busy.

Food was excellent as was the wine and kirs. Service in St Albans often seems to lack the buzz of other Cotes and can lack warmth.

Outstanding service and very happy and polite waitresses and waiters, very lovely night for my mums birthday a night to remember, and they also brought out a cake we bought with candles on which made my mum really happy and excited for her big day, and there was no rushing around it was just a lovely calm and really too quality place to eat out

Great food and excellent service. Plenty of space between tables so you didn't feel you were on top of the next table. Staff were attentive and there was not a long wait between courses.

Our waiter was not the best I've encountered as a regular customer at Cote - he placed glasses, wine and cutlery in completely the wrong areas on the table for the three of us, even though we made a point of moving items around. He gave the impression of not wanting to be there at all Food however as always was very good.

In answer to your survey,we had a really dissapointing lunch as a result of a particular waiter and the food being cold!. However i would also like to point out that your manageress could not have been more apologetic or helpful which was an absolute plus.i feel this was just one of those unfortunate experiences and was dealt with superbly.The manageress was outstanding.

We have been regular diners for some months now. Consistency is always apparent with good quality food and a very friendly and efficient service to match.

Overall, very good value when choosing from the set menus, good quality of food and a very pleasant atmosphere. Couple of things to focus on- it was busy for. Tuesday night and so staff were stretched and an error on the bill...otherwise, very happy to return.

Excellent food and service. The fillet steak is to die for. My coke was instantly replaced when I knocked it over and the table cleared instantly. Really good value and good ambiance.

There were plenty of choices on the menu and the food was delicious. The service was very good as usual with the waiters being very attentive and helpful.
