Côte St Albans

A most pleasant experience for my friend and I. Friendly, efficient staff, good varied menu and the food was excellent. Pleasant surroundings and not too noisy, unlike so many restaurants!

Sunday evening for dinner, no complaints, food was good as was the service. If I had one complaint it would be the hostess or manager, all the staff looked smart while she looked as if she had just got out of bed.

Visited the St Albans restaurant for pre theatre dinner. The food was good quality and good value for money. The service was excellent and the surroundings very relaxing. We also got free Kir Royales with our theatre tickets which were very welcome.

Having visited several branches of Cote we were disappointed with the slow service. Delivery of water slow & had to ask for the bill 3 times!Food still good!

Great value tasty breakfasts - a real treat for a lazy weekend! Highly recommend the vegetarian offer followed by a naughty warm croissant and butter!

Very pleasant birthday meal for my wife. Food was delicious and the boeuf bourgignon I had was very filling. Lovely creamy mash. Service was quick and they gave us complimentary fizz😊. Wife loves the place. Will come again

OK, small portions but nicely cooked, chips tasted is if they were frozen, drinks expensive but to be expected. but watch out for the service charge supposed to be optional.

My wife and I had an excellent meal with three friends on a Saturday evening - good food, wine and very attentive service from the friendly staff. The Cote is one of our favourite restaurants in St Albans - lively atmosphere and high quality food at reasonable prices.

Attentive staff, great atmosphere and simple yet delicious food! Always a favourite in St Albans and it has never let me down yet! Would recommend to anyone!

The location was very nice , the waitress was very helpful and the food was very tasty , me and my wife had a lovely time

Food was excellent. Had roasted pork belly. Was impressed at how quickly food arrived. Nice to have water at the table when you arrive. Service was really good too despite it being a busy Friday night.

The service was great, the waitresses knew when to be attentive and when to leave you be. The atmosphere was lay back and enjoyable. The menu had enough choice and all the food was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend.

What a great meal in a cosy environment. The food is always tasty at Cote and combining that with the 3 course set menu for £13.50 you can’t really argue!

Lovely food and atmosphere really enjoyed ourselves. Parking was really difficult and that was the only drawback would definitely visit again with friends . Lovely evening

We had the formule breakfast which was good value and excellent food.The service was good and we will be returning to this restaurant again in the near future

Overall - very good - but we booked the table for 19:00 and I felt that we were rushed out to make way for the 20:00 diners. May be wrong but that's how my wife and I felt - it was our 29th wedding anniversary and we wanted to enjoy the evening in a leisurely manner.

No complaints on the food itself, it was amazing and will definitely go again. The level of customer service from our waitress was pretty poor though, she seemed very stressed and rushed and I definitely felt like I was a burden on her rather than being made to feel welcome.

Amazing service! Our table all had different food allergeys and the staff and service were so accomadating and understanding, it made our evening and food was fab!

Not the best experience which is a real shame as we generally love Cote. We had an American visitor with us and we had hoped to “show off” Cote in its best light. We were right at the back of the restaurant and asked to be moved as the banquette seating was wobbling beyond belief. We were then put on the next table (again - right at the back of the restaurant) but now beside a leak which was emanating from the ceiling - very unnerving ! Just terrible overall

Cote St Albans is always reliable. Today there was a big party of 40 plus at lunch but the staff coped wonderfully. I'll be back!

Speed, efficiency, politeness, atmosphere and of course the food - 1st rate as ever. compared to many 'higher value' restaurants in St. Albans - Côte Brasserie manages to keep the bar quite high.

Good choice, delicious food and good service. The best thing about Cote is the wide choice of food so you can come again and again and have something different.

I’ve always liked Côte as it delivers beautiful food, atmospheric environment, all at democratic prices. My rate is low this time because the waitress (although lovely, helpful and friendly) tried to overcharge us by entering the wrong amount (£20 more) into the card machine. I’d like to think this was a genuine mistake rather then intention but it did spoil the experience significantly.

Once again we experienced consistently good food and service at our latest visit to Cote. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere makes for a good evening.

Nice buzzy atmosphere & a warm welcome with a Kir Royale to start. Early bird menu is great value & my steak was perfectly cooked.

Booked for my wife's birthday for eight of us and it was smashing. Lovely food and excellent service. Kids were looked after too. Will book again soon. Thank you.

Met a friend for lunch very good value lunch menu friendly efficient staff my friend had the sliw roast pork which was delicious i had the grilled chicken with dauphanois potatoes all in all a very nice experience will be back soon

The early evening menu is such good value and we like that the starters and mains change on a monthly basis. The staff are friendly and efficient.

We booked ahead for 2.15pm and ate as a group of 4 adults..............our treat to excellent friends who do a lot to help others, including us! We all really enjoyed the food and felt is was good value for money. Service was a little mixed this time but overall acceptable. I would like to be able to nominate a place/area to sit when I book as we were right at the back of the restaurant.

Cote is always reliable though bizarrely we have noticed that the quality can vary from restaurant to restaurant. St.Albans is good though by no means one of the best.

Excellent brunch everything cooked per our request. It’s my favourite restaurant for breakfast/brunch. The service is always very good. My friend also loved it, it was her first time.

Lovely restaurant in centre of town. Wasn't too overcrowded but can imagine it gets very busy at weekend great food and wine , would recommend

Great service & food (excellent set menu - good selections & value for money), cozy atmosphere. One star missing because fish cake was a little salty to my liking (still quite good though). Would definitely recommend & visit again.
