Majah the waitress could not do any more to help. Great food and fantastic service. The sword fish was delicious and so was the fish soup.

Lovely food. Great service. Only blemish they charged us for 2 bottles of wine when we only had one. Quickly sorted though. They accepted out of date Cote vouchers without turning a hair.

Had an absolutely lovely time for my dad’s birthday, the food was amazing and the waiter and waitress were polite and very friendly. Absolutely nothing bad to say - was our first time visiting and will certainly be returning.

We had a great lunch today. The restaurant offers - Excellent value for money. - Friendly efficient service. and is the perfect place to meet with friends.

The restaurant was cold and service slow. Lots of noisy children. I also had an upset stomach after the meal. We shan’t be going back.

Pleasant surroundings. Staff excellent and aware when required. Enjoyed the lunch. I could easily become a regular as it is very good value. Worth a visit.

Excellent meal with proper hot chocolate sauce with the desert. (unlike in Cote St Martins, London). Steaks cooked perfectly although mine had rather alot of grissle Great service by Maja; attentive but not rushed

Great food and after not being seen for 15minutes when we arrived the manageress was very apologetic and more than made up for it by giving us our first round of drinks and coffees free which we didn’t ask for, that is how to keep your customers, a lot of restaurants I have visited should take a leaf out of her book. The atmosphere at the St Albans branch of Cote seems a little more subdued than other Cote venues we have visited, not sure why. Generally the staff were friendly, the service was efficient and the food delicious.

We had to ask to have our order taken before 7 to ensure having the set price meal having arrived at 6.35. The waiters were working hard but there didn't seem to be enough for the people eating. When we did order two of us we're unable to have the main we had selected and one of the desserts selected was inavailable too. The two decaf cappuccinos were just about hot enough not to complain at the time but we had to drink them quickly. We were surprised that no chcocolate was sprinkled on the top. Usually received better service than this at Cote

Tiny children’s portions. We waited 30 mins for our wine. When we complained they apologised, said we could have it for free, and then charged us for it.

Excellent service as usual Food good but not great - a little formulaic but still good place to meet . Too cold to use great outside space !

The service was superb, the food was divine. The pate was so tasty and I had the steak frites for main which were cooked to perfection. Lovely to come to a restaurant where the staff knew their menu and really valued customer service. Well done.

Cote food was lovely , sadly the service levels have slipped on a table for 4 2 places not set even though glasses for 4 things like that also 2 dishes brought out and 10 minutes later, shocking 12.5% service charge also

Only half our food came out. 10 mins later after asking the rest came and was wrong. All sent back and recooked, wrong food came out yet again. Had to be changed again, still wasn’t correct but we just ate it. Was in the restaurant so long ended up with a parking ticket. Awful experience on Mother’s Day, how many times can you get a breakfast order for 4 people wrong!?

Food was very good. We come often to Cote and generally the service is good. On this occasion our waiter appeared to be going through the motions of speaking to us rather than genuinely interested in doing his job well

Warm welcome, great service and good quality food at a reasonable price - we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Bit bemused that there were maintenance people there working whilst the restaurant was open though - we thought this should be done when there were no customers!

Great service on Mothers Day and good food for the family of 4. The kids choices good and very fair size. Will certainly return soon.

Very good service and food, always good here, never had any issues and the food always tastes great. It was very busy being Mothering Sunday, but still felt we received very good and quick service.

I never went because I couldn’t find anywhere to park, but I’m sure it was jolly nice like all the other cotes I’ve been to.

Staff very friendly and attentive despite being busy. Food always excellent. Knife was a bit smeary, which is why I didn't give a 6 - didn't need more than a polish on my napkin though. Will definitely go back.

We initially got out at an very small table, but asked to move to a bigger one. Wasn’t a problem, but as we had booked we’ll in advance, and it wasn’t that busy yet, it was odd. Food was nice, restaurant very busy.

Generally ok - I normally have breakfast there so this was my first dinner experience. I wouldn’t rush back for dinner - it was average.

Everything was perfect, the service, the food and the atmosphere. However, one thing was not “French “ enough. That was the lemon tart. It was okay but the pastry at the bottom was not crisp as a French tart always is. This is the first time I have been less than 100% happy with my numerous visits here, I have been coming here since this branch opened some years ago. I am sure you can rectify this.

Food was very good, although my friend said his steak was cold, the main reason for the Mark was that the service was slow, I understand it was a Saturday evening and you were busy, but the interaction with the waiter was sub standard, There was no life in him, we ask for two ice cream and only got delivered one, and when we ask about the other he went away and came back with no smile or apology. Don't get me wrong we did enjoy ourselves however I've been to a few Cote restaurants Muswell Hill and Hampstead and I have always found the staff warm and friendly.

Always a great choice - I could eat and enjoy everything on the menu! The set deal is good value if you dine before 7pm.

Nice restaurant, staff friendly and attentive and food was great.. An all round good experience. We have been here a few times and it never disappoints.

Good value 3 course lunch as usual. They had a problem with the gas and as such, some items on the menu were not available. We were advised of this immediately we arrived but there was sufficient choice available to satisfy us all.

It was a comparatively quiet Sunday evening. No problem with the food bu service not up to usual standard. No cutlery or serviettes until after food arrived and we had to ask for our table candle to be lit. Everyone else's was alight.

A perfect venue offering excellent service and excellent food at a competitive price, a firm favourite of mine that never fails to satisfy, will I book again, a definite yes.

Staff well presented, friendly and attentive to our needs. Gluten free options were excellent giving a large choice of dishes; this can be very restrictive in many restaurants. Well done Cote Brassiere.

The food is always good and reasonably priced. Service is always good, so Côte is a good place to go for a pre theatre meal.

Restaurant was cold, apparently heating had broken down, Service was not brilliant. Staff spent too much time talking to each other and not paying enough attention to their customers. Food was fine.

Very good service, the staff where very helpfull and prompt, ans accommmadating even though we arrived with more people than we had booked for. The food was well presented and tasted very good. A great evening out.

We had to ask for cutlery, and they forgot the toast on one of the four breakfasts. Once we asked, they were quick to correct.

I love this restaurant, I’ve been so many times and always receive great service with lovely food. Last night out table was wobbly and the waitress put a piece of card to stop the table moving, can’t fault this restaurant.

Delicious food.... they served the food quickly and also nice atmosphere to dine in. The staff were friendly and also quick to respond to our needs as i went with two kids.

It was avery pleasant meal but the restaurant was busy, is big (which I hadn't realised) and so it was very noisy. Not to be recommended if you want a quiet meal out! Food was good and service was very good. We did have to wait a long time for dessert, forgot about us, but they then did not charge

The food was all excellent, the service very friendly and efficient and the ambience in the restaurant is very pleasant. Cote Brasserie has become a family favourite and is often our choice for a meal out, with a good, varied menu and the quality of the food has always been reliably good.

Food excellent. Service slow and even though asked for gratuity not to be added to bill which I was paying by card and wanted to leave cash do it would go to staff it was added on. Luckily over reviewers had commented on this so I was looking out - but why ignore an explicit request?

It was clean, friendly atmosphere. The food was excellent and was served quickly and was warm and relaxing. I would happily go back there anytime

Such a disappointment. The olives tasted like they were past their sell by date. Then my main course (steak frites) was cold (the butter never melted on the steak) and was very bland. Tables are really close together and it was just a really disappointing meal. However when we gave our feed back to the manager she was polite, accepting of what we said and didn’t want us to pay for our meal (even though we were very prepared to pay for it). Therefore I have to commend Cote for their customer service (all the waiters and the manager) but not the food.

Unfortunately the steaks we had were very fatty which put us off. The service was poor even though the servers were polite and nice. We had barely finished our courses before they were bringing the next one! As we were eating one course still they were already clearing up and really felt like they were rushing us along. For good food and better service I'd recomend going to Cafe Rouge.

The Food & service was fantastic as always.Met up with friends for a tasty & filling late morning breakfast. Dining room was quite draughty though.
