Côte St Albans

The team was very friendly, much better than at most restaurant that you find, very genuine. It was great to come in on a sunny weekend and be well looked after.

Very prompt and friendly service. Had one of the Spring specials and it was excellent. Nice atmosphere and lovely occasion as it was a birthday celebration.

Great as usual, bit quiet, but at least Cote is still open. Hope it doesn't go the way of other chains. We do love going there.

Ok ish. There are better Cote Restaurants. We sat outside in the garden terrace area which could be a lovely area, but it needs a deep clean. It felt very dirty. Service was quick, but not very friendly.

Very friendly, helpful staff. I had grilled chicken breast from the set menu but it was a bit garlicky. Didn't say on the menu, but it was still enjoyable, but should have mentioned on the menu. Coffee too strong! I always have black americano and do know my coffee, but this was very, very strong! Didn't drink it.

Good food and drink in nice surroundings. Staff could be a bit more cheerful though. Also a little pricey although we stuck to soft drinks

Quality of the cooking is the attraction at Cote Brasserie and it was as good as usual. Even my boring piece of cod ("Cod is not the only fish!") was made interesting. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

French-ish. Very enjoyable food - French themed rather than authentic French, but very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable.

All four of us enjoyed the food which was well prepared and presented. Service was prompt and courtious but the training of some of the staff needs improvement. We will definitely come again.

Immediately pounced on for food order within 3 mins of sitting down then at the end of the meal when you want to go asked for the hill and had to wait 20mins! Lovely food though!

Food delicious as ever. Cote never disappoints with its excellent choice of dishes, good service, and great ambience. I'd prefer it if they didn't add the gratuity on automatically and leave customers to decide themselves.

We were given a table next to the waiters stand and next to a very noisy group. There did appear to be other 'better' tables available, which was a shame for a booked table.

Table was not very clean or set on arrival - appreciate they were busy. No linen napkins!!! They had run out!! Food was fine - staff good but maybe a resource or management issue as many tables uncleared??

As always, a lovely meal in a comfortable and friendly environment. A good choice of gluten free options. Service was efficient and we didn’t feel rushed.

Excellent service and French cuisine! Attentive staff and quality food and drink made for a fabulous lunch in town! The standard never dips so we will go back time and again!

Good food, expensive drinks. Service was good except a number of tables were not cleared for quite a long period after the diners had left.

A very enjoyable evening out with friends. Food up to the usual high standard as was the level of service, and all at a reasonable price. I can thoroughly recommend the Cod Supreme from the April Specials menu. It had a real fresh taste of Spring.

Another pleasant meal at ‘Cote’ as per usual the staff are friendly, attentive & polite, the service and food is excellent and despite recent criticism remains a firm favourite for me and my family

Very good food, attentive service. The wine we ordered has run out but we were offered a more expensive replacement at no extra charge. Staff very polite.

Very busy restaurant today which meant it was very noisy but our food was excellent. Service was good and although we lingered over the three courses and were there nearly 3 hours, no one chivvied is up.

There were plenty of dishes to choose from and the food arrived very swiftly. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. We would not hesitate to eat there again.

Always a good experience. The food and service is very good and the staff are very friendly, We eat out 3 times a week and the Cote is one our favourites.

Service & breakfast was excellent. We (4 adults)found the staff to be attentive but not intrusive. We highly recommend the formule breakfast offer, good value for the money. Would defiantly go again.

The food was excellent. One of the waitresses was very rude when we politely asked whether we could pay (after quite a long delay waiting for the card machine). Manageress or deputy very polite and charming

We had previously been to the Cote in Hamstead and loved it , especially the atmosphere. At St Albans it was not as busy as we went late afternoon on a Sunday but still loved it. The food is tasty , great quality and the price amazing compared to other chains . The wines too are great and not expensive. Service too is good . We will return very soon . On set menu , steak frites is a great choice .

Came for brunch and was again really good quality. Service was fast and waiting staff very polite. The interior is lovely and the seating comfortable.

Great food and as always very pleasant and helpful staff, we had the free offer of a glass of Kier Royale which was a very nice start to the Evening. It is certainly my favourite Restaurant in St Albans, always value for the money.

We had an excellent Early Bird meal. Food was well presented and tasty. We took two friends who were impressed with the food and service.

Food was absolutely heavenly! Waiter service couldn’t be better! Happily sat us to another table as there was a large party next door! Will be back soon!

We do eat here a lot and always have a good meal with good service and in nice surroundings. Last nights meal was no exception.

Great food and attentive service always what we expect and get from Cote! We had the early evening menu which had plenty of choices for me and my friends. We will definitely go back!

Service and food not up to usual standards. Three of us at a small round table, which had been placed in the way of all the waiting staff. Had to ask to be moved. My food was served warm rather than hot; the vegetarian dish that was ordered came with a different accompaniment than described on the menu but no one bothered to explain until we queried it and the portion size of this main course was rather stingy. Having ordered vegetable sides at Cote on several visits we now realise that they barely cook them; it must be a Cote thing so we must remember to ask for them well cooked otherwise the carrots and the beans are still as hard as when they are raw. Prefer the original profiteroles - Cote serve theirs with ice cream inside and too sweet a sauce. So not our best experience at Cote.

Another most enjoyable visit to St Albans’ Cote. Lovely staff and excellent food and wine. Can’t wait to come again, may be sooner rather than later. Thank you.
