Dry nice meal, staff very friendly, lovely setting and really enjoyed it

The staff and the food were very good. Excellent value for money. I know Cotes very well, in Cobham, London and have never been disappointed.

We were shown to a table,it wasn’t busy,after 20mins we asked for our table to be wiped,&asked for drinks & a menu(no one approached us before this)we felt the service was slower than normal

Six of us enjoyed the food and vibrant, buzzy atmosphere of Côte. Our meals were delicious & hot. The staff were very helpful and efficient.

As usual a good experience. Food good,service good. We are regular customers and look forward to our next visit. Every two weeks we lunch there.

We were very impressed with the food, all of party had steak cooked different and all very happy. Waitress was very rushed and not overly polite.

Great food on the set menu; service could better: eg: ask how is the food within first few bites not when you are half way through

Lovely garden ,tasty food, good service ,good value. A lovely staple of the St Albans restaurant options. We visit often and we are rarely disappointed.

Everything about the place is good - the surroundings, the attentive staff and, of course, the superb food. The early bird meals represent excellent value.

Lovely meal and great waiter service. However, the matre d was reluctant to give us a table outside even though it was obvious we could be accommodated with a short wait as one family were just paying their bill. I had to push for it as her excuses didn’t make any sense !

My friend and I visited this morning for breakfast - a little pre- school holiday treat. I’ve visited many times before with my family and have never been able to find fault with the place, food or staff. It was my friend’s first visit and she was absolutely delighted with the quality of the food and the value for money the ‘formule’ breakfast was.

Always my first choice when dining out in St Albans, always a warm welcome from friendly staff in pleasant surroundings with a pleasing menu, watch for the monthly specials, always a delight and the reason I try to visit on a regular basis

Had Sunday breakfast. Food and service both excellent. Breakfast menu is very good value. We sat in their garden which was lovely. Shady on a hot morning. Highly recommend.

the service was good but not as excellent as usual but the food quality was poor. we ordered the tuna carpaccio and prawn gratinee. The tuna was ok but not as good as the week before and the prawn gratinee went back 3 times and still didn't even resemble the dish that ive enjoyed before so many times. I have never had a bad experience at the st albans cote but this came very close

Lovely food and service. Good value for money. All of our party enjoyed their food and evening. The risotto could have done with more seasoning, but that could have been personal choice so not a complaint!

Great meal. Cote is always reliable providing consistently good food. Service was also very good as attentive without being intrusive. Would definitely recommend for any sort of occasion.

We ate in the garden which was great, but a bit scary when a large rat appeared searching for food under the tables. As it was my birthday my son paid the bill but there was a discrepancy which he sorted out with the manageress.

Possibly the best tuna in a tuna nicoise I''ve ever had - thanks. Quick service - friendly staff - clean environment - highly recommended - a big fat 'yes'.

Very friendly environment and very good service. Food tasty. I came already a few times and all of them the service was very good. For breakfast price/service is very good as there are menus that includes fresh juice and hot beverage.

Good welcome and considerate staff. Food quality was very good, and we were kept supplied with water. Charming table service, and pleased to see that gratuities go to staff. Will return in future.

There is a good choice of food on the menu. Good service and nice surroundings and at a very reasonable price. The complimentary water jugs look the part but are too heavy and don't hold enough.

Cote St.Albans is a great place. Food is good,friendly staff,great location. We are regular customers and will continue to visit at leats once every two weeks.

Easy to book the restaurant. Good table for the five of us. Service very good and prompt and not felt rushed to leave after eating. Good excellent particularly enjoyed the duck breast.

We really enjoyed the Prestige Menu on this occasion but the whole menu is great and we are regular visitors to the St Albans restaurant.

Family lunch . Very well looked after by considerate staff. Very good quality of food for the price. Good wine list with range of prices.

As usual food good and service good it was v busy but we were able to sit outside as requested and our free drink offer aperitif was iffeeed in arrival.

The restaurant was pleasantly cool compared with the outside temperature. We were greeted with courtesy and the service throughout was excellent. The food was delicious and attractively presented. Cote is our favourite restaurant chain and we shall definitely return soon.

nice food didnt notice they had put 12.5 % tip on the bill.i always tip if service is good but thats my choice not theres so wont be going back

Great service, great food and reasonably priced. The Cote Brasserie provides a very good service and is acquiring a reputation for providing good value for money.

Excellent food and service. The weather was really hot when we visited but there was a selection of tasty well prepared food to fit the heat. Certainly need to return in cooler weather to enjoy some of the rest of the selection.

We had the peach crumble with ice cream and didn’t finish it as had a strange taste. I complained and did get money off but put me off going back.

We dined outside in the garden which was wonderful, staff were attentive and polite. It is a sound choice for a meal with friends and we will revisit again soon

Unfortunately we had a young man who had been promoted from commie waiter that day. He was very stressed , unsmiling and the service got off to a rocky start with the starter arriving before drinks etc. The food and the femail staff were as excellent as usual. Hope our next visit sees this hiccup sorted out.

Great food cooked to order and at the right price. Very professional staff greet you and give you a choice of areas and tables to sit at. The waiters are smartly dressed in a French style uniform adding to the overall experience.

Pleasant atmosphere, good food and service. The menu felt very French which was a nice change from the usual fare available in most chains. We've returned a number of times as the menu is quite extensive and there are often seasonal dishes, as well as 2/3 course limited choice but good value menus.

We were a group of 4 quite elderly people hoping to enjoy a nice quiet meal to celebrate my 50th Wedding Anniversary. We were shown to a table opposite a very large group of people celebrating a birthday and for the whole of the visit they were shouting, screaming and laughing very loud, so much so that one of my guests had to take his hearing aids out so as not to hear them. Other guests around also looked slightly perturbed. There were plenty of other tables free in the other part of the restaurant therefore we should not have been offered that table. The food was acceptable but not as good as I had expected after having visited another Branch of Cote in Highgate many years ago on many occasions with the same guests and it was always perfect. I thought the cost of the meal was very extravagant for what we had and was very surprised that I was even charged £1.30 for a tiny slab of garlic butter. Also having a 12.5% optional service charge added which I was not aware of did not really warrant.

The food and service were as good as always. Unfortunately our experience was spoiled by the volume of noise. Saturday evenings are very busy with particlarly loud people! We also object to the 15% service charge added automatically to the bill but we were able to get this changed without difficulty.

Unfortunately when we arrived at 10.30 for Father's Day breakfast, there was a power cut . We waited for about a hour but had to leave as power did not come back so can't give a rating. Staff really apologetic but it was out of their control.

Food as good as ever, service not quite as good this time. Very good value for money and there is something that other restaurant chains could learn from here.

Very nice food. And good service. Tried the June specials. The Hake Provençal was particularly nice. Also had a good bottle of rose wine. Did not have time for a pudding.

Lovely restaurant with good food and excellent service. Particularly the steak frites. Only downside is it’s a bit noisy. Must be my age. Still, we’ll be back.
