Excellent food, comfortable surroundings and very pleasant staff, all made our friends Birthday meal a wonderful evening! Thank you again Cote St Albans! We shall return again!❤️

Had lunch at Cote in St Albans on Saturday 1 December with 4 girlfriends. The service was the best I have experienced in a long time. The two waiters who served us were excellent. The food was very good and the ambience was just right. I will definitely return.

A lovely oasis on Christmas Eve morning to enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast! used to use Carluccios but they have closed down! this was better!

The menus offer wide choices at v reasonable prices with good ambiance and service. Eaten there several.times. Zero to complain about. No problem to recommend.

A very poor experience. Some of our meals had to go back as they were cold. Service was very slow and inattentive. However, we received a substantial discount on the bill by way of compensation.

Couldn’t book a table under Quando using my loyalty points so had to search on another app . Cote wouldn’t honour my £8 cash back!! Not happy should that . Went to St Albans Cote. Toilet not very clean

Food and service was good for a brunch on 27th December. The ambiance was poor, draughty, we asked for the fan to be switched off. The noise from other customers was unacceptable. There needs to be consideration of the requirements of families with young children and how they differ from a table of 3 or 4 adults. I think is this is a regular experience at cote in st albans then I will be looking to eat else Where in the future.

Service was a bit slow. I had twice to chase. But food was very good and well priced. Maybe it was a Boxing Day effect.

Always a happy place Very busy yesterday. Last Saturday before Xmas. Service and Food not up to their usual standard . But we love the staff and the atmosphere

The food and service were excellent. Portions were of a generous size. We will return to this restaurant. A really varied menu to suit all palates.

Maya was the perfect host, every issue dealt with immediately and professionally. Food was lovely, especially the porcini mushroom sauce, if only I could get the recipe!

Despite being very busy, the staff were attentive and pleasant. We were given a quiet table away from the larger parties but did not feel ignored at all. The food was delicious and courses were paced well for a relaxing dinner. We love this Cote and visit on a regular basis.

Good value for money in respect of venue, service and quality of food. A welcome feeling from the start... although this does not apply to all their chain of restaurants!

We always enjoy Cote at St Albans, staff are so helpful and polite and the food is superb. The menu is changed regularly and there is always something tempting to choose off of the special menu. It is our favourite restaurant!

Meal for 3 - starter each, main course and one dessert between the three o us. 85 GBP for the three. Service was very good, ambience also very good. Run on duck breasts but went or steak instead and that was also excellent. Booked for the 3 bu had 3 friends join us for drinks and this was no issue for the waiter. Definitely will go again.

We had a very good service the food was good and generally it was good value for money I would really recommend someone of the breakfasts.

Food is always good (especially the breakfast) but occasionally service can be a bit hit and miss. Always a bit cold so take an extra jumper!

We were a table of 7 people. The service was friendly and efficient, everything came as our pre-order and even having to remove one person an hour before we were due to arrive did not cause a problem. Food was good and everyone enjoyed the lunch.

Everything was very nice. Service was good and all the food was well cooked My main concern was that I thought the portions were small, particularly the fries and vegetables. My husbands rib eye was well cooked but also could have been larger.

Very enjoyable meal. The restaurant was busy but we were given opportunity to be seated in quieter area where we could chat. Our waiter was attentive with lively banter and with the good service and delicious food it was overall a very pleasant experience.

The restaurant was really busy on Saturday lunch time but we still had good service and a very helpful waitress. The new menu choices were good too.

We met up with family for breakfast and as usual it was perfect excellent service and food staff couldn't do enough for you very efficient

Met 5 friends for a lovely brunch. Unexpectedly was seated at a round table which meant we could all talk easily. The food was delicious but could have been a bit warmer. It was very busy so we had a bit of a wait but the service as good and we really enjoyed our experience.

This is a good restaurant with consistently goo food. We had breakfast today which was delicious. The service is always friendly and efficient.

Go here often but today, some staff looked decidedly unhappy and albeit busy, seemed a little chaotic. Food, as always, was very good. Will not stop me going again

The environment was beautiful, the food exquisite and the service was welcoming and wonderful. We were also served with a free warm mulled apple cider as we booked through the Quandoo app too. We appreciated the delicious drink very much as it was freezing outside. My friend and I hadn’t seen each other for some time and we had a marvellous 2 hour lunch at the Côte Brasserie St. Albans.

The environment was special, the food delicious and the service outstanding. We enjoyed and appreciated a free warm apple cider on arrival as we used the Quandoo app to make our booking too. My friend and I spent two wonderful hours together having lunch yesterday. We think we’ll definitely go back there the next time we meet up.

good service , good food and pleasant surroundings - it is a family restaurant and there were quite a few tables with small children but they were well behaved and not noisy!

The staff were outstanding from sorting out a mistake with the time the table had been booked for to being fun and attentive all night. We had a fantastic meal and enjoyed every aspect

Incredibly busy, sadly the staff weren’t able to cope, therefore It impacted on the service. Although previous visits have been far better, presumably because not so busy.

Good central position in st Albans. Friendly staff. We tried the £15.95 menu which had a good choice and was excellent. The £11.50 for2 courses is also good value.

We had excellent service today, and the food was delicious, as it always is. The set lunch menu is very good value for money. The seating area is quite spacious so that you are not too close to the other tables. This is my favourite restaurant in St Albans.

We took my aged father to Cote in the High Street and it was up to its usual standard. He ordered the roast chicken which he likes but he didn't like the large amount of roast onion. Otherwise a very good experience.

Most enjoyable lunch with my old school buddy, great food from the Prestige Menu, no room for a pudding! Service was great, lovely Italian waitress . Very attentive and efficient, stayed most of the afternoon. We’ll be back.

Food was very good; service moderate; ambient noise appalling! I have had this experience (not being able to hear a word said by my companions) in other Cote restaurants. You have an urgent need to put down carpets or insert sine other sound-deadening device. The noise really ruins one's evening's enjoyment. Anne Wyburd
