Lovely meal. We were given a Kir Royal to celebrate my birthday. The bread is very tasty, my moulded were delicious, as was my chicken. The meal was rounded off nicely with a sweet, rich chocolate mousse. All in all a super meal at a reasonable price. It worked out at £25 a head as we had the fixed price menu. Only slight hiccup was we were initially charged for the drinks which were supposed to be on the house. Chairs were uncomfortable and mum found the noise a bit loud for her to hear our conversations.

Great start, flexible about a time change for our table but despite not being full thought the tables were too close together. Attentive waiter however his shift ended part way through meal and we were sort of forgotten after that!

Our visit to Cote was fantastic from start to finish. The service was excellent - Lucasz looked after us efficiently, and with charm. The food was exceptional and we really enjoyed the cocktails.

When we ariived we were told that they had no gas. We returned 30 minutes later and were told that that could prepare a cooked breakfast without using gas but using their electric ovens, but this would take about 20 minutes. We did order and the food arrived within 15 minutes and was quite good.

Recently visted twice . Love the food. On both occasions the service was quite slow. My main bug bear is that 12.5 service charge is added. I would rather decide for myself on what to leave based on my experience rather than it being decided for me as the service recieved on sunday didnt warrent a tip of £13.36

Great service and lovely food. We booked for our anniversary and they went over the top with flowers on the table and free drinks. Lovely surprise.

As the restaurant was out of gas so I couldn’t enjoy my lovely stack which I’d been so looking forward to eating all week I found it quite disappointing that the restaurant could cook due to a gas shortage.

No poached eggs available - we make them simply ourselves at home perhaps the chefs need further training. Eggs not great- fried eggs over cooked lots of tables around us complaining

For the first time in many visits we were not impressed tonight. Food not very well cooked and service level reduced as restaurant got more busy.

Great food, perfectly cooked, my son’s steak was amazing, my crab starter was fantastic as always and the goat cheese salad was really good. My husband ordered chicken goujons without salt and it took some time to prepare. We found out later that they had to recook them as they had accidentally put salt on it. Excellent service. Just several guys next to us were too loud and annoying. Everyone was looking at them but they didn’t care. We also ordered a take away Breton chicken and it was cooked very quickly. Highly recommend!

A very pleasant pre-cinema supper. Steak cooked exactly as ordered. Staff were quick and efficient. Bit lacking in atmosphere as it was early but all round Cote delivers consistently.

The noise level was so loud that is was impossible to communicate with each other even the staff had difficulty taking our order. The food was a lot to be desired my starter of calamari was cold and my wife’s Gazpacho was so salty is was inedable. Not an experience i would repeat

We came for our second anniversary, I’m coeliac so your large gluten free menu is fantastic. The duck breast was amazing and my husband had the pork belly which he thoroughly enjoyed.

I always have a sirloin steak when I go because it’s the only restaurant I’ve been to that makes it perfectly for me (medium) and always tender. Don’t go often as steak is quite expensive. They do a good set menu at a value for money price but haven’t tried it yet. The only criticism is that when they are very busy they don’t have enough staff on duty.

Lovely food and service as usual. Hadn’t visited Cote for a little while but will be back again soon. The Gazpacho was delicious.

Food was very good. Disappointing that we couldn’t sit outside, which is why we chose the restaurant, as no electricity. Service could have been better, our waiter was not very attentive, we had to call him over on two occasions.

Cote never fails...consistently delivers wherever we visit. Great food and atmosphere. Calamari and prawn starter and muscles and pork belly mains..awesome. We visited for a spa weekend at nearby Sopwell and popped out to our favourite restaurant for dinner on night 2. Thank you Cote, service was great as usual.

Every time I visit Cote, whether it is St Albans or Welwyn garden city, the crockery is always dirty! The size of the table for 2 people are ridiculously small! Struggle to fit both meals on! Service is always great, very attentive and smiley!
