Côte St Albans

The food and service was great. However the toilets were awful

The food & atmosphere was great but for some reason seemed to have cold air blowing from vents which eventually resulted in our table & the beach 2 tables wearing our jackets. Did mention it twice buhad Me tinted

I had booked a table to celebrate my birthday with friends. We were warmly greeted and served by very attentive staff. The food was fabulous and served at a good pace. As a special treat I received a dessert with a candle and the Cote team sang Happy Birthday. We all agreed we would go back to the St Albans restaurant.

Absolutely perfect food and excellent service , highly recommend , very family orientated and staff went out of their way to ensure we had the best birthday celebrations xxxx

I have been to Côte many times and as usual the food was very good. The only thing that lets it down is sometimes the service is slow Whilst we were shown to our table straight away after 15 minutes we had to get another waiters attention to order some drinks and service overall was slow. On other occasions I have been in Côte the service has been very good so maybe we were unlucky!

Attentive service, delicious food cooked to perfection, great atmosphere. Never fails to satisfy, even on a damp Monday evening!

Lovely venue who accommodated a large number of us at short notice. Food was good and staff were kind. Service was sometimes slightly slow hence the 5/6 starts.

Lovely relaxed lunch served with style for a reasonable price. What more could you want in St Albans on a Sunday lunchtime?

We always enjoy our meals at Cote St Albans , friendly welcome, great service and fantastic value for money . The menu is always a delight and the welcome drink for booking on line is the icing on the cake . Lovely . Thanks.

Awful, as we arrived and waited to be seated, 4 members of staff walked passed us and didn’t even acknowledge us. As I was then seated and followed the waiter there was some rubbish he saw on the floor and kicked it under a table. When we sat down we were surrounded by filthy tables. Staff just slowly walking passed them, no one could be bothered. One staff member, I can only imagine was a manager was wearing ugg boots and had no customer service skills at all. My mussels were over cooked and gritty and my steak was full of fat. My friends calamari was tasteless and her duck was like leather. The whole experience was the worst I’ve ever had!

Food was fabulous as always. Shame I can’t say the same about the service. There seemed to be plenty of staff about but they were more interested in chatting to each other than doing a good job.

We had a wonderful waitress who wore red & she was funny, informative & punctual. She made sure our evening was fantastic & we could not have been happier to tip her for her service.! Thanks again. This was our first visit to Cotë St Albans but it certainly wont be the last!

Staff were great and really helpful. We were originally offered tables near the door. We asked if we could be further in the restaurant and in a corner if possible. They did it. We had a quiet table tucked away. The food was great. Tasty, interesting and wasn't rushed. Service was calm and we weren't interrupted much. Not rushed and friendly. A great evening!

Our first time at the St Albans restaurant. It was a great experience with fantastic food.

Friendly welcome as always. Prompt seating and menu choices taken. We enjoyed our dinner.

Not suitable for young children. Our 3 year old son's food was served late. His starter (from the childrens menu) was what we ordered (saucisson) but turned out to be 4 thin slices of garlic sausage - hardly suitable for a toddler. His main course was not what we ordered - and we had to wait another 10 minutes for a very hungry lad to be fed.

We always have a pleasant visit at cote. The staff are extremely friendly, smiley and attentive. Food was really tasty, we really enjoyed our food. The atmosphere is always buzzy although can sometimes be a little too noisy due to it being popular however it is still a lovely restaurant and I would always recommend it to anyone.

Lively atmosphere and though the restaurant was busy the service was fast and efficient. The food was up to Cote’s usual high standards.

The chicken was not cooked. We were sat between the toilet & the kitchen. It was very noisy. The restaurant was understaffed during our visit and items were missed, but still added to the bill.

Tried this place for the first time. It was my wife's birthday. They accepted my special request and made subtle arrangments to my liking. Amazing food, more importantly and lovely blend of vegetables as we are vegetarian. Great ambience and amazing staff. Only disappointment was we were served for a couple of wines saying it was complimentary but was charged in the end which is fine but I could not have another cocktail I was looking to.

Generally happy. Some of the staff seems a bit unhappy or annoyed working and not as relaxed and smiley but still polite. Food was good and enjoyed our complimentary wine.

Unfortunately not as good as it used to be. Chicken inedible and very salty. Had to return it and it took a long time for it to be replaced. Staff not very attentive and had to call for their attention to get drinks. The supervisor was apologetic and helpful. Not sure I will visit again for a special occasion.

Waiter didn’t even know what garden peas were. Forgot our starters then delivered our mains which had dried out as they had clearly kept them warm whilst we ate our very late starters. It took 40 minutes from order for our 2 starters to arrive Very poor then they had the cheek to add service to our bill! Terrible

Service was excellent on busy Saturday evening. The Veal special was succulent and had fantastic flavours, the creme caramel was beautiful! All in all a lovely evening.
