We always get a good welcome at The Cote. There is always something delicious to chose from on the menu and the service is always good.

Food and service very good as usual but our party of five were seated at the back of the restaurant, under a low ceiling and it was uncomfortably warm.

We had a wonderful meal on 16th November. The service and ambience was excellent. We will definitely return and recommend.

The food and service were excellent and the only reason I didn’t give it six stars is because of the noise level. However, it was full because of the lights going up in the town and yet the food remained at its highest level.

The food was good -but not as excellent as experienced in some other Cote branches - we enjoyed it. Our party of three got a nice table although we had originally booked for just two pple. Service was good with the exception of having to wait to pay. We didn't know that there was a separate cash desk.This meant that we were almost late for concert in the cathedral.

Service good, not sure what was going on in the kitchen though! My food was cold and the table next to us were given raw chicken! Restaurant cold and horribly noisy. Needs soft furnishings.

Very pleasant and the staff were also very friendly. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Quite quiet when we arrived on Friday at 7.30pm but quickly got much busier! Very pleasant ambience. Lovely food - good quality, well presented and we left feeling very full! Will definitely be coming back. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely experience.

We had lunch for our mother’s 70th birthday and we really enjoyed ourselves. Free bottle of champagne, confetti on the table and candle on my mother’s pudding given by staff who were singing Happy Birthday to her was just perfect. Thank you for making the experience special for us.

Both main courses and desserts were first rate. The service was impeccable.

Amazing place to have a lovely dinner/ lunch with friend/ family and perfect for a date with your “better half”. I spend my birthday there and I’ve been absolutely surprise to get a lovely chocolate fudge and drink from Cote’s manger on the end. I need to add as I didn’t mention before as we are celebrating anything. Huge surprise ! I had very nice ravioli and onion soup for starter- delicious ! My friends get steaks for main- perfect cooked and calamari rings for starter. We’ve been absolutely happy with our choices! Love this place and I’m sure I’ll visit this place not ones again x

The polite and friendly staff along with top quality food and service has made Cote a firm favourite for me and my family when dining out in St Albans.

Felt a little neglected. Treated differently to other tables around us. Table next to us with kids received coloring packs but they didn’t bring us any for ours. Also the food came out in random order so some ate well before others Been here before and had good experience so invited some friends with us - they will not be going back.

Great atmosphere, food and service as usual. Always a treat!

You always know what you get with Côte. The plats rapides were great - the steak wasn’t tough.

The beef Bourgogne - mushrooms was sautéed and not part of the stew. The complimentary cocktail was delightful.

We love Cote Brasserie, the staff are lovely the food tasty and atmosphere chilled. Every year we visit to have breakfast and write our Santa letters - it’s become our special tradition.

My fillet steak was more well done than medium, which was unusual for Cote.

Steak frites was ok, children’s meal didn’t arrive as ordered so was sent back. Lettuce looked like it had seen better days as did the peas in the children’s meal.

First visit to this Cote-outstanding service and food-made to feel really welcome.

Four of us for a reunion. Polite staff. Two of the group had the Cote Burger and when asked how our food was they had to agree that it was practically inedible. Very tough, extremely dry and tasteless. A huge disappointment. However, staff acted swiftly and advised what other dishes could be prepared swiftly to keep in line with the other members of the group and remedied the situation. The cost of the burgers as well as the new dishes was not included in the bill which was as we would have expected. Other food aside from the burgers was good.

Great as always. Needed quiet table as we re old and wrinkly and wanted to catch up with our friends! Waitress found us perfect spot so all was good.

Excellent welcome, service food and drink in a restaurant with great atmosphere.

Excellent service good atmosphere but all let down by poor food. My main course was swimming in oil and inedible and my dessert of frozen berries and hot sauce (which was served cold at the first attempt) was tasteless. My friends all enjoyed their meals so maybe I just chose badly.

Consistency is key and Côte always delivers. The staff are attentive and always make an effort to welcome you.

Service was good but food was bland. Not to usual standard. Disappointing as it was our anniversary :-(

This was a very nice table d'hôte meal and reasonably priced, too. The French onion soup was, as ever, excellent; my chicken main course was not as hot as it should have been and I asked for it to be reheated - and it was. Very pleasant staff.

Always a 6 star experience! Can not fault it. We have become regular visitors
