Very busy and hence service very slow. Some lovely food, some inedible.

My partner and I booked a table for breakfast and we were not disappointed! The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the experience was made even more memorable by the staff wishing my partner a Happy birthday and bringing two glasses of Prosecco and orange juice to start, they had clearly read my message when booking on line regarding my partners birthday, Thank you to all the team @ Cote for such a lovely experience 😊

Our visit earlier was pretty poor Upon arrival we had to wait over 20 minutes to order, and that was after going up to someone and asking - lord knows how long we would have waited if we hadn’t Then my husbands food came out over 15 minutes before mine and our companions, he was finished and my tea was cold by the time the food came My order was wrong as was our companions, the toast was cold and my eggs weren’t cooked properly (fried but the whites were all raw on top by the yolk) The service was extremely slow and will definitely not return to this particular cote again.

The ambiance at Cote is always lovely and plenty of room for friends to find an easy place to get together. However, the food on our visit was really mediocre. I would have sent it all back but I didn't want to make a scene and spoil our gathering. Basically two of our orders were mixed up (wrong type of eggs on both plates). When these came back as corrected, the food on both plates had gone cold and rubbery – really, really unpleasant for a brunch on a chilly morning. It took ages to attract attention of staff to get top-ups of hot water for (cold) tea. When we came to pay the bill, we were expecting some change, but the waitress never reappeared but took the whole amount so we also ended up overpaying for the poor food. We had a train to catch and couldn't wait to sort it out. Not sure we'll be coming back for our next gathering. Shame....

We had the best waiter in the world! He was lightning fast!

Lots of loud banging from the kitchen (presumably repairs) along with noise from nearby parties of people rather took the edge off our usually good experience, as it made conversation difficult.

The food was beautiful and our waiter was lovely. It was really busy but I did not feel like we waited too long for any of our courses. The only slight negative for me was they do not serve cocktail but they did have a great wine selection.

Had a lovely meal for my wife's birthday. All the staff went to great trouble to mak it a special night and the food was great. Thank you for a lovely experience

Good welcome and service. French onion soup was great. Scallops and boudin noir were perfectly cooked. Sirloin steak was ok not as tender as I would have liked. Fries a little over cooked. Tartiflette was super. In summary a good evening and good value. Certainly we will be back.

Went with my Mother who uses a wheelchair, they were very accommodating and they have a good disabled loo, which is very useful, and it worked! Nice food, friendly service. Consistent. Buzzy.

Good food; nice waiter from Sardinia whose lack of fluency in English was made up by his cheerfulness; but the overall feeling was one of chaos, from the moment of arriving to leaving. And although the restaurant was not even totally full, the level of noise made us feel that we wanted to get away from it all quickly. Not a good place to be for a nice evening meal.

Service is always brilliant and have been going for years, however we have stopped having ‘Ribeye’ steaks as they are no longer up to scratch! Given there is too much local competition we sadly go elsewhere for Steak. Our understanding is that the Supplier has changed however this has lowered the quality and we cannot justify paying for something that produces to much waste (inedible and chewy so has to be left or spat out) Such as shame as before the Supplier change the Steaks were excellent!

It was lovely, fantastic service and food. We had come to celebrate our daughter's 13th birthday and the staff made us feel very welcome with a special chocolate birthday treat at the end of the meal. Thank you!

Service was very patchy. Waited some time for main courses and after finishing, again had to wait a long time c.15-20 mins for plates to be cleared (only after asking). Ordered desserts and coffees. Two of three coffees arrived and then 5 mins later desserts. Then on reminding the last coffee arrived. Food was OK. Burger, supposedly medium rare was overcooked. And it was cold - not pleasant to eat in.

Had a really lovely meal here on Saturday night. The food was excellent, as was the service. Only down side was that we had to wait quite a while on arrival for a table, even though we had pre-booked. The restaurant however were extremely apologetic and offered a complementary glass of Prosecco while we waited at a different table. Overall great experience and will be visiting again.

Went for breakfast. Food took 30+ minutes to arrive even though it was not busy and we had to chase up food and drink order. Service was not great. Lovely atmosphere though and good value breakfast.

As ever really good food and with the early bird deal fantastic value. Relaxed environment and perfect to catch up with friends . Very good service. We will be back!

Food was very good. We had the Prestige set menu. Very good value. The citrus and Courvoisier cocktail was delicious. My only comment would be the dishes came almost too quickly and the tables for two people are rather small.
