Well what can I say, sadly as soon entered left standing waiting to be seen for about 10 minutes, staff seen us but no one spoke to us, service was not great, tables left not cleaned up, Staff looked miserable, Was never asked if we wanted another drink! felt a very odd atmosphere! don’t like how the gratuity is added to your bill, I know this optional to us, but you tip on good service which sadly not the case tonight! Food however was nice enough. Very disappointed as have dined in few of your restaurants in various locations and never experienced this before especially when celebrating new year.

unfortunately my medium fillet steak was extremely over cooked. The value for money was not great. The brunches we have had have been far better

A lovely meal, as always. The staff were incredibly accommodating and gave me some cheese for dessert as I can’t eat sugar. Perhaps this could be an option on the menu for next year?

Waited a bit too long to have our order taken and then waited again for the amuse bouche etc. which came to the table the same time as the starters. Not a great start. However the food was good and enjoyable.

It wasn’t made clear when we booked the only menu that was available was you’re very restricted New Years menu! I do not eat deserts and my girlfriend didn’t fancy any of the staters so we left very disappointed in less than 5 mins happy New Years Us! It’s a shame as we both really like the cote experience and main menu! I can’t see us returning anytime soon

Lack of choice on menu, charged more than the price for the menu, small portion of the food and was forced to pay the ‘optional’ gratuity which was quite outrageous. Will be contacting customer service.

It was a very full restaurant with post Christmas diners. Had to wait to be seated as others in front who hadn't booked we’re waiting for tables to become vacant. Although service was slow it didn’t matter. The waiter when he did take our orders and serve our meals was very efficient given the level of pressure he must have been under. A good experience overall

Food was good however restaurant was very busy and the staff a little overloaded.

Dreadful service Our waiter could not be bothered he threw the cutlery down we had to place set ourselves he put the food infront of the wrong people No on ease thank you is everything ok We got seated waited for over 10 minuted then got rushed to order everything ,drinks arrived my beer arrived he asked if I wanted a glass !!!!!!!!! I said yes please he asked if the wine glass was ok I then said no please could I have a beer glass I then had to wait while he served others he then just threw the glass down no apologies for the wait Overall experience was very poor I have added a poor trip adviser score

Lovely, tasty food although my starter of cured pork had been under a hot lamp a while too long and did not taste that fresh.Main of goat cheese salad was delicious and generous.

Lovely food, especially the December special of scallops & Boudin noir. Great table, and as usual professional and friendly service. Although the restaurant was busy the noise level seemed ok.

Once again cannot fault the quality of the food but lamb dish was not very hot

Very good menu choices. What we ordered was well prepared and well presented and the team was friendly and professional. The restaurant performed well at a very busy time (Christmas Eve).

We had a very nice family dinner for 9, and we had a round table which was ideal. The food was very good as usual.

11 for birthday lunch, good service, great food.. this has become a family tradition thank you all.

Very pleasant Boxing Day breakfast, quickly served and hot but do wish the waiting staff would give the customer a chance to sit down before coming across and asking what we want to drink.

Although we had a problem with the table and Lamb being a little undercooked (probably my fault) it was dealt with professionally and efficiently. A very good meal and experience. Thank you!!

Great waiter, dink’s, starters and main meals came after acceptable W waiting times. Then it appeared our waiter has finished his shift and gone. We were bought dessert menus but then ignored. We asked if we could order, no one came. Eventually we decided just to ask for the bill. We did this several times. We then had to wait to pay, in the end we stood up and put our coats on and still had to badger someone to pay. We said we would have liked dessert and coffee but could not wait any longer, the guy just shrugged and said ‘We are busy, Actually by now it was almost 5pm and the quietest we had seen it. Just a shame is spoiled the end of our Christmas lunch. Tip...if a waiter goes off shift, please give us someone else who cares. And not add a £30 service charge to the bill! Or at least apologise. There were 8 of us by the way.

Had the basic set menu for lunch. Not been here for a year or so and felt size portions has gone down. No longer have a garnish for the steak fries. I know it's a low price menu so presume that you need to upgrade to the premium menu to get what you would have done on the basic menu a year ago.

A lovely evening, as usual at this distinctive restaurant. Feel I’m in Paris!

After checking different Restaurant websites, I had booked Côte to have an early lunch at 11.30. When we arrived, we were told lunches did not start until 12. Disappointed. We had to have a late breakfast instead

The staff were extremely lovely and the setting itself within the restaurant was beautiful - we loved the Christmas crackers as an extra! However, it was a shame that there was such a long wait between our mains and the starters - we had to ask a couple of times for updates as it took longer than expected. Alongside this, some of the food was quite disappointing - I ordered the duck which was very dry and then the Buche De Noel that was not as elegantly presented than it is on your website, it looked like a completely different meal than I expected (still, it tasted nice). Overall, we had a good evening and your staff were very attentive and helpful, however the food was a let down for some selections from the Christmas Menu.

All very good. One small glitch is that my desert never arrived but appeared on the bill. Amount adjusted when pointed out with no problem and probably good for me!!

The service was very efficient and friendly However the cassoulet was dreadfully cooked. The two pieces of duck therein were burnt right through to the bone. Normally I’d have complained there and then however I was with sensitive company And decided to grin and bear it this time. Overall very disappointing.

Love Cotes St Albans. Good food. Reasonable price. Friendly staff. Cheerful atmosphere. I meet friends for lunch here often and am never disappointed.

I had asked for a quiet table so that my friends and I could have a chat and this was provided. The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient and we all enjoyed our meal.
