Côte St Albans

Cote is a decent place, always enjoy the meal here. I was a bit frustrated being told at 13:02 that I couldn’t have the breakfast that finishes at 1pm. And the portions of chips are woefully small (actually the portions generally are a bit measly). But staff are good and the food is decent and the little outdoor space at the St Albans restaurant is lovely.

Brunch for three today was ideal. Despite being a busy Mothers Day, we didn't feel rushed at all.. Food nicely cooked as requested, and pleasantly served.. An enjoyable visit!

Waiting time between meals just too long, you feel like walking away. Waiting staff pleasant but rushed off their feet which gives room for errors, theyforgot about our dessert!!

Great service, lovely food and a fantastic experience. Tried to book for my birthday through the website, but could only get a really late table for the five of us. Went in and the lady on the reception desk was fantastic, sorting out the booking in no time. We had a great meal with great service and a birthday ice cream for me!! Will most certainly be back.

Nice atmosphere. Would have been nice if the waitress who served us smiled instead of making us feel like an inconvenience when we requested anything else. Food is good.

Chateaubriand on Sunday evening was a delight full of flavour and included in their “weekend specials” which didn’t damage the budget, will definitely return.

Excellent atmosphere, we had no longer to wait for starters and the mains was exelent. Rib eye was perfect kokt and we have a nice bottle of Treviac. Definitely coming back for a new experience.

Fabulous food we loved it all the only negative was My sauté potatoes were a bit under cooked but other than that it was first class and would definitely return !

Excellent food. Service could have been better, found some of the staff quite rude at times but on the whole we had a lovely meal and would go again.

Average food, poorly cooked steak, slow service and rowdy atmosphere on a Saturday night. Had to shout to be heard on a Saturday evening, never again.

Lovely hour and a half spent with a friend enjoying a delicious lunch and a glass of wine each at a very reasonable price.

Having reserved a table some time before the date I visited I was somewhat surprised to find my guest seated in an area which seemed to be where children were seated. Our table had push chairs either side and there were other children in the area. It's quite a big restaurant and there seemed to be other tables available in the other areas. Other than this everything was good and up to the usual Cotes standard. Unfortunately the seating let this venue down. I was meeting my friend for a catch up so I travelled to St Albans from Canary Wharf. I frequently go to Cotes at London Bridge. The service and food at St Albans was just as good but I have no idea why I was seated in what seemed to be a family area and there was food on the floor around my chair which would seem to back this up.

Whenever we have been to Cote Brasserie St Albans we are made welcome, the service is excellent and I must say (being a french woman) that the food has never disappointed us, it is always plentiful and beautifully cooked. We will returned as a couple or with friends many times in the future.

Pleasant relaxed meal as always. Enjoyed one of the March specials, the veal escalope. All 4 of us would have chosen it but only 2 left (at 6.30 pm); suggest upping the stock a bit.

We had a table for 6 on Saturday night, very attentive staff, delicious food, great value for money. The only bad point was the noise levels, it wasn't that loud on Christmas eve! I think next time we go we will ask if there is a quieter area ?
