Excellent food and service in an attractive setting. The booking process online is very easy. You receive a warm welcome on arrival and a choice of tables. Service is friendly and efficient.

The food and service was very good but we were in a corner with all the other tables occupied which made it very noisy, sad as we were meeting family, there were empty tables so would have been better to space people out

First time we have been to St Albans Cote Brasserie (we usually go to Welwyn Garden City). We had a lovely meal, great service, thank you!

A lovely meal as always for five of us on Mothers Day. The service was slower than usual but to be expected on such a busy day.

A delicious meal for our family of 4. We arrived just before 7pm and so ordered from the fixed menu. As always, the food was first class- in particular the soup and cod.

We found the menu, food, service and value to be very good. Our only negative was being kept waiting at the entrance for a table, for too long. This will put us off a return for sometime

As always enjoyed good food and a high standard of service, only negative was being seated as a table of three with two large family groups either side arriving after us. As bigger tables they were a bit louder and made it difficult for us to hear our own conversation. We were given a choice of table at the back when we arrived but did not notice that the tables along the walls near us were set for large groups. Will know to check next time.

Sensational food coupled with high quality, friendly service explains why I will continue to be a Cote customer. It doesn't matter which branch you go to, quality is guaranteed.

Great food, as always. Went for a birthday and were surprised with complimentary drinks. They went over and beyond to make our evening special. Great place, great night!

Nice welcome, service a little slow to take our order. Bread arrived to be followed too quickly by our starters and then too short an interval between each course. Steak tartare and prawn gratinee both very good, asparagus risotto very good, Breton chicken was super. Creme Brûlée - mine was good, my wife left some of hers and I decided to finish it, could see why she left it, it was far too cold, completely different temperature from mine. We had a nice meal, but those few points if corrected would have made it super.

We received a warm welcome and the staff were generally attentive. We dined early and the restaurant was pleasantly quiet to start with, once it got busier it got very noisy and it was hard to hear each other. The staff naturally also got busier. The food was excellent, we all enjoyed our meals. The only oddity was after ordering desserts we were asked about coffee and an espresso was ordered. It then came immediately long before our desserts, we had expected it after the desserts, or at least at the same time. As it was such a short drink it would have been stone cold if we had left it to drink at the appropriate stage of the meal.

Nice Valentines evening, lovely menu and wines, nice friendly staff. The fish was delicious, deserts also scrumptious. May have been a good touch to add a flower to the table!

Great food and drink. The service is excellent - attentive without being over the top. There is a lovely ambience to the place. In a nutshell, we love Cote!

Great team and great place for our usual Friday evening treat ❤️. Very buzzy and noisy so not a place for a quiet dinner for 2 but otherwise 👍👍👍

The meal was lovely. However we did have to wait a long time - I think a 30 minutes between starter and main. One of my friends left about 8.30 as she was feeling unwell and we cancelled her main course within 5 minutes. It was still brought so food was wasted. The restaurant was very hot - this didn't help how my friend was feeling - though the heating was lowered a little on request. I feel the cold and was more than warm enough.

Wonderful first visit. We loved the ambiance, food, speed of service, staff and the menus on offer. Would love to sit in the courtyard next time! Will return.

Restaurant and food were nice. Service could be improved as had to ask for the desert menu twice and for the bill twice. It was a bit cold in there. Everything else was fine.

Tables too close too each other - other tables were very loud. Service was okay but this could be due to a busy evening on an Easter weekend...

We will return. excellent value with a good choice. With all that is happening in this sector of the casual dinning market Cote continues to offer a lovely experience ,not a churn and burn as some have been.

I had a lovely meal at the St, Albans branch this evening with great friends. The food and service were spot on as always.

As a regular Cote diner, I like the food, ambience & particularly the friendliness of all staff. As a regular tipper however, I was recently perturbed & disappointed to be told that the 12.5% optional service charge is still being utilised by management to pay staff wages; in other words not being distributed to staff in ADDITION to contracted wage rates. I understood this practice had ended. Please let me know if this is not the case.

Friendly and efficient service, great menu and delicious food - what more could you want! Always difficult to make choices. We enjoy dining at both St Albans branch and the Welwyn garden City branches.

Food was good, waitress not particularly friendly. Table booked for 5 people. With a free £6 cocktail per person. Disappointed that there wasn't a soft drink alternative for the drivers, irresponsible and also wouldn't have cost anymore.

WE HAVE VISITED VARIOUS COTE RESTAURANTS AROUND THE COUNTRY AND FIND THE QUALITY OF FOOD, SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE TO BE OF A CONSISTENTLY HIGH STANDARD. THE CREME CARAMEL IS DIVINE! WE WILL BE BACK.

Pleasant meal but expensive for what it is; it wouldn't cost much more to include some vegetables or to offer 'free' bread to start the meal. It was quite noisy and crowded in the restaurant so why additional 'music' was on adding to this is annoying and unnecessary. Waiting staff were attentive and helpful and food was tasty and hot. Adding 12.5% service on is really too much and is greedy; 10% is acceptable. It can be difficult when with a group of people to start discussing and amending this so we paid it, reluctantly.

EXCEPTIONAL EVENING!! The staff at the St Albans restuarant were outstanding. It was my mums birthday, and she was treated to a drink on arrival, and the staff sung her happy birthday, whilst presenting her dessert with a candle on top. It made our evening that extra bit special. Additionally the food was delicious, so flavoursome and very prompt. Overall a great atmosphere, friendly and approachable staff members, and a great evening. Thanks everyone, you should be very proud.

Great service and food. Always love Cotes X we got a special martini for free for booking online in February. Blood orange martini... delicious! Will be back soon!

Always enjoy Cote. Good atmosphere, friendly service and a good variety of dishes on the menu makes Cote a great place to go regularly. We go say twice a month .

I dined out at Cote on Saturday with my partner and we had a very pleasant meal experience. The March offer of the free gin and elderflower was as delightful as it looked on the web-site as was the ambiance of the restaurant itself. The food was wonderful as was the choice, with something for everyone...I chose the mussels and the crepe as it had been Pancake Day...the best crepe ever and a lot better than mine! The service was generally faultless, however, I did feel slightly pressured to order which was a little unfortunate as we were an early evening sitting and the restaurant was not that busy. This slight annoyance really did not spoil an otherwise very enjoyable evening.
