Manager constantly served across people rather than taking a step around. Not good with hot food apart form lack of manners.

Food lovely but we booked a table outside as weather was warm and sunny and this was our main reason for visiting. Checked at lunchtime and confirmed but arrived in evening and garden was closed with no explanation.

The entire team were very friendly efficient. The meal was served a little too quickly it felt a little rushed. Great atmosphere and decor . Well done to the team . Thanks everyone .

Easy booking, nice atmosphere in restaurant, staff very attentive, had the breakfast menu for £11ish which is excellent value. Delicious veggie breakfast!

Comfortable. Good service. Nice space between tables. Nice and buzzy. We shared the beef. It wasn't the best. Lots of fat. Next time its the fillet. But we go to Cote 4 -5 times a year. It's always good.

Once again, a fabulous meal with terrific service and a convivial atmosphere. A busy Friday night but amazingly, although pretty full, there always seems to be a table free. Terrific front of house and an obviously talented kitchen team who can produce above average fare time and time again. Well done Cote St. Albans, you've cracked it.

Just fab! The staff could not do enough to make my evening special as I was there with my family for my birthday. The service was fantastic and the food always excellent. It didn’t matter that is was a wet and miserable night in what should be the summer! We had a really lovely time. I cannot recommend Cote St Albans strongly enough!

Attentive waiter -but not too much. Just right. Good atmosphere and delicious good. The offer of a bottle of wine was attractive and I’m glad we came to eat here. Not been in a few years. We booked up again for September

This was my second visit. Significantly better than my first. Good table, god service and great food. No body rushed us and we left in our own time with smiles on our faces.

Lovely food, great service and lovely atmosphere. Partner and I went to St Albans for a late lunch....couldn't have chosen better.

Nice setting, good service and reasonable prices. I would recommend for family gatherings.

I’ve become a regular here! It’s my favourite place in the world for breakfast , lunch and dinner. Not all on the same day, obvs! It’s hard to beat the good food and the service .

Ah! the Breton Fish Stew to die for Although my wife said the same for her Breton Half Chicken. Altogether another excellent meal.

An excellent meal with friends. The food was very good and well presented. Very nice wine and service was great. The only small snag is that, being a large open room, it is quite noisy and this is made worse by the background music

We always enjoy the variety of starters, mains and desserts offered by Cote The prices offer value for money and the waiters and waitresses are pleasant and efficient which is why it is our regular choice of venue in the lovely city of St Albans.

I booked this restaurant for my birthday lunch with some friends. The waitress who seated us must have picked up it was my birthday as she bought me out a glass of bubbly, which was a nice surprise. It was a sunny day so we sat in the courtyard which was lovely. The service and food were really good so would definitely recommend.

Really nice night on a balmy summers evening in courtyard. Pleasant service from waiters and managers. Accomodating to my wishes including going the "extra mile" to find a particular beverage from a competitor elsewhere in St Albans.

Lovely meal, helpful staff. We enjoyed our steak and the staff accommodated changing chips to vegetables, thank you.

Service was slow and when main courses came not just mine but all the food was just not very hot and could have been hotter very disappointing

All the staff we met were really helpful, the menu is quite extensive we chose the Ribeye which was full of flavour, we made a mistake with our choice of sauce and the staff brought us a different sauce at no extra cost, we had a good night out made even better by the combination of the food and the staff thanks and we will call again shortly.

We visited early evening and were welcomed with a smile and given a choice of tables. Service was good and the early evening menu excellent quality and value. A very enjoyable visit.

Great food and friendly staff who provide a good service

The first half of the meal was very good - and the service spot on but as the meal progressed and more people arrived - it seemed we were forgotten about as our finished plates were left on the table for ages and no one came over until we asked for them to be cleared and the dessert menu provided. We challenged the 6% service charge - as it was definitely not worth the additional £6.50. I normally have no issue with paying the service charge but on this occassion it was removed without any fuss. Disappointing as the food is always great - but we felt very let down on this visit.

2 friends and myself had a lovely early dinner at St Albans Cote yesterday. Really tasty swordfish and delicious lemon tart. Service was friendly and efficient. We'll done.
