Côte Chichester

Good friendly welcome and a high service standard throughout. Food was of a good standard but I found my fish at little dry for my personal taste.

Very good meal and service but we have only scored it 4 because our favourite duck dish was not available. One of the nest places in Chichester.

Booked for party of 4 for 5.30pm, arrived early - no problem for the staff. On 4th person's arrival, order taken quickly and efficiently, served in the same way - and with a friendly smile! By now, the restaurant was filling up and the staff were very busy, but efficient - it seems to run like clockwork! Food delicious, as ever, and we were on our way by 7.05 to the Cathedral. All boxes ticked.

The food was very good. The staff were acceptable but there were two babies in high chairs next to us who screamed in turn or in unison during most of our meal. I feel that Cote is not the place to bring very young children who spoilt things for anyone sitting near them.

Ambience and staff lovely as usual but we picked the wrong dish in Prawn tails as a starter, they looked and tasted more like chicken McNuggets but mains of steak and frites plus cassoulet delicious.

Service and attention to detail was very good. The food was everything we expected. Well presented and tasted great. The staff were all very proffessional. We enjoyed our dinning expieriance very much. Thanks to all envolved. Barry Sims

Having waited longer than expected for our a la carte main course order, my fish parmentier was very dry and was immediately returned. The replacement was fine, but by the time it arrived my wife had finished her main course. I was then disappointed because I wasn’t allowed to choose a non a la carte sweet because we had had a free bottle of wine. In hindsight I should have not had a sweet at all as I had to choose an a la carte sweet that I didn’t really want or enjoy.

Excellent service, great food and reasonably priced. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. We will be going back when we are next in Chichester. All round a great evening.

Really good food and efficient service. I've been to lots of Cote restaurants and I've never had a bad meal. A lot of chains start well and then get sloppy. Cote is consistently good - let's hope it stays that way

Warm welcome. Great friendly service. Delicious food. Reasonable prices. We had a delicious breakfast for lunch which is great as not all places do breakfast into 1pm. All round great experience. Will be back.

Actually had a decent polite waiter for once , makes a difference and the food and atmosphere very good plus wine was chilled to perfection ! Best restaurant in Chichester .

Chichester Cote is consistently excellent for food, drinks and service - especially Gerrie. You can't go wrong and it's also excellent value. Make sure you book as it's often busy.

The food was nice but would expect it to be amazing considering the high price and small portions. One member of staff was really nice - another was a little wooden.

Great lunch with my friends, good service and a comprehensive vegetarian menu. Only slight complaint was that the restaurant was very hot. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

As usual we had a delicious meal. Never been let down. My favourite off the lunch menu is the steak frites. Creme caramel was delicious too.

We had a lovely evening. As always, the staff were very welcoming, courteous and attentive. They are so well trained that they make the diner feel cared for without being too intrusive when we're having a private conversation. and without being obsequious. We went a la carte (so that we could take advantage of my reward of a very decent bottle of Merlot!) which was so varied that we were spoiled for choice. We started with a bowl of spicy olives then I went for the warm Roquefort and endive salad followed by the duck while my companion had the French onion soup with Breton chicken to follow. We both thoroughly enjoyed everything. We decided to skip pudding but had coffee instead. Thank you, Cote, we'll be coming back soon.

Great restaurant dinned there before visiting the theatre. Good attentive service ,tables well laid with cloth napkins which is always a nice touch . Excellent value for money.

Another superb meal. The staff are very welcoming. We took some friends who were eating at Cote for the first time and they thought everything was fantastic.

Staff as ever very professional and pleasant. Atmosphere sociable but still able to hear ourselves speak. Food is always acceptable but we do really wish for the menu to change more regularly.

Excellent meal well cooked. served with style of Cote ,ie all table served together professionally , and the food was delicious to boot. I have been to many Cote which have all been good but Chichester has been exceptional by it,s consistency of well cooked and tasty meals served well by pleasant staff. Look forward to the next time.

The service from all the staff was terrific. The food was very good as usual and my wife and I will be back very soon.

As usual really great food, good atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and efficient. I like that an optional 10% is added to the bill for service . My only negative is that you have to ask for the separate vegetarian menu.

We had a lovely tasty lunch as always with great service. Excellent value too on the fixed price lunch menu.

My husband and I decided to share the cote de boeuf on our recent visit. We requested it be cooked rare and it was spot on. The beef just melted in the mouth. Would thoroughly recommend this choice on the menu.

We enjoy French food and we normally select the fixed price menu available at certain times. This menu changes monthly and there is always a good selection. We have found the the food to be delicious and the service outstanding.

Excellent good quality food at a reasonable price. The variety of food on offer would suit all tastes - both the menu du jour and the a la carte. We will be back!

Unfortunately our order was not put through to the kitchen, and as we were going to the theatre, this left us very tight for time. However, when we complained, one of the managers took charge and our food was produced very quickly and we were not charged.
