Excellent in all respects as ever. But once again I must ask for a change of menu. It has been the same for so long now.

We visited cote last Saturday evening. It was buzzy and the staff were very efficient and friendly. The dinner, as usual, was fab. If you like calamari then try the starter. They are tasty and very tender - the best I've had in a long time but a very large portion.

I paid the bill and had not realised 12% tip was included. I told waitress to round up with extra 10% which she did. I then realised I had tipped twice and then asked for a refund which was given. I would have though waitress should have pointed out to me that tip already included in bill.

We had the 3 course lunch menu for £13.50, as usual food brilliant, and great value for money, the creme caramel was amazing. Would have preferred our side order of french beans to be cooked for shorter time, but being picky.

Excellent Xmas menu the staff were very attentive the four of us each had a different main course and we were all pleased with our choices . Being a Monday night the restaurant wasn’t full but we still enjoyed the ambiance. Our friends said they would use Cote again.

We had lunch, 3 courses, excellent value. Service was from an efficient smiley lady. Superb atmosphere, the restaurant was very busy. Couldn't fault any of it.

Fabulous food as always - the pork belly was particularly good. Very busy the night we were there so service wasn’t quite up to its usual standard.

Only one, relatively minor criticism - Côte set great store by their 'Frenchness' but no self-respecting French restaurant would DREAM of serving soup without at least one piece of bread with it. The French friend who ate with us was in fits of laughter at this but that's probably because she didn't order the soup...!

Food good, staff excellent as always but evening ruined by enormous table of very yobby noisy revellers - presumably some form or works outing. Not what we expect in Cote. No more evening meals for us in Cote until after New Year ! Pity.

Excellent birthday lunch and very good value. Tasty langoustine tails, pork confit and dark chocolate pot with a Cotes du Rhone - can't go wrong for £13.50 for 3 courses! Good service and worth the 12.5% service charge.

A very pleasant pre Theatre dinner. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. We selected mostly from the November specials. The only drawback was the noise level even though it was early and only half full. It is the lack of soft furnishings that causes sound to bounce around. Nice if you enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and don’t mind raising your voice but not so good if you are of a quieter disposition or have even slight difficulty in hearing.

We booked a table for 2pm but has to wait until 2.45 pm for the first course. Waitress service was good & staff friendly The casserole was extremely hot to the point of having to avoid burning ourselves on the iron dish! We had to wait a further 15 mins for dish to cool down. Food was good when we finally got to eat it !!

Cote in Chichester offers, in our opinion, all that a dining experience should within a reasonable price. Extremely courteous and friendly staff, delicious food and pleasant comfortable surroundings. It's always our first choice for a business lunch or early evening relaxing wind down meal.

Great food, attentive service, good atmosphere and fair value for money. T here could be a few more alternative options on the specials board particularly when you've been through most of the other tasty dishes on the menu. Maybe we visit Cote too often ;-)

Lovely food and really great service. We had a table for 6 and were greeted at the door and shown straight to our table. We took a while to order as we were chatting but we were not rushed at all. Would definetly recommend Cotes.

We both ordered from the November specials - black pudding with roasted apples and poached egg, which was gorgeous, followed by a spicy cassoulet, very welcome on a cold night! A glass of the recommended Graves (red) wine, which I felt did not entirely complement the cassoulet, followed by coffee completed our meal. A typical Cotes meal in many respects - entirely reliable, quietly excellent, good service. A couple of specifics: keeping the outer door open did not add to our enjoyment, as every time another party left, an icy blast hit us. Also when we arrived for our post theatre meal at 10.00 pm, the restaurant was extremely noisy. This improved quite quickly, as a couple of parties left. If there is any scope for sound 'baffles' to be added, it would greatly add to the enjoyment of older - and deafer - diners!

The menu at the restaurant was typical. the service was good. there were 3 diners all having different food two of them were satisfied and one sent the food back because it was not hot it was promptly replaced with a new dish that was hotter, beef bourguignon not to be recommended. Not as good as cote in guildford nor winchester. An off day?
