Côte Chichester

It was a good evening. The service was excellent and the food good. Our only gripe would be that we were chilly sitting under the air con vent!

A wonderful meal for us both this evening; well cooked, tasty, hot, and excellent value. Most of all our waitress Ana was simply superb; polite, friendly, welcoming, knew the menu and wines very well, and served the food with her lovely smile. She was excellent, efficient and top class in every way. We have recently moved to Chichester. We will see you again soon!

We always enjoy Cote and think that Chichester has now become our favourite branch. It used to be Brighton, but that is not always as good as it used to be, sadly.

Friday night so there was a busy, happy buzz, glad I'd booked a table. Despite the number of customers the staff were quick and attentive without being intrusive. Skipped the sweet simply because the starters and mains were both filling and too good not to finish. Although we lingered at the table there was no suggestion the staff wanted us to leave to free up the table. The final bill for the three of us was slightly less than I'd paid for two at a similar establishment the previous week. The warm reception we received was matched at our departure, made the meal feel more like an occasion.

Lovely open and airy restaurant. Food delicious as always and waiting staff very attentive. Only criticism was that our table was directly below the speaker and the music became intrusive. However, this was turned down when we highlighted it. Overall very good.

We had a fabulous meal at cote and were looked after as always by the fabulous staff and managers just perfectly. We look forward to returning very soon

We absolutely loved it, our server was stunning,sadly I didn’t get her name. Food came promptly was as good as the menu suggested. There was a lovely warm atmosphere of well being, top marks.

Well....what can I say? My wife & I just love this restaurant! The food was excellent; the service superb (attentive, without being over zealous!) and the atmosphere delightful. On a Tuesday lunchtime, a month before Christmas, it was very busy, but the staff kept everything ticking over without any noticeable hitches. Thank you......we’ll see you again on Thursday evening!

My lady partner was critical of service, waitresses reaching across her, drinks with no ice, sorry not a good experience with a £100+ bill.

Easy to book online and reminder received. Meal for 6 booked for 5.30pm before the theatre and meals were served promptly and hot by a very pleasant and helpful waitress. Exceptionally good value and everyone in the party cleared their plates. Would certainly come again - thank you

We are regular customers and have tried many dishes on their comprehensive menus and none has disappointed. Occasionally, you may find something that is more "International" than "Francaise", but it's all freshly prepared and good quality.

Great menu in pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed this for a birthday celebration, but had to ask for the offered complimentary Kir Royals..:)

Five very happy diners today! The food and the service are both so reliable and the staff in the Chichester Cote are a great bunch of people.

Very busy, staff friendly as always but the service was rushed. Waited 10 minutes to be asked for our drinks orders but the whole dining experience lasted less than an hour. Calamari was not up to the usual standard, greasy and chewy. I have had it a lot here and it has always been good. Unfortunately that put me off the steak I had ordered as a main. Nothing wrong with the Ribeye, just didn’t fancy it after the greasy calamari. Unfortunately they had sold out of the steak frits and I had been fancying steak all day so went for the more expensive option. That did make the overall experience a lot more expensive and raise expectations. Overall hot, noisy, crammed and disappointing. First less than good experience I have had in many visits so don’t let this put you off.

I would say that the meal sounded better than it was. We had a cod dish where the fish was the smallest portion I have ever seen. The vegetables were pleasant although the endive had been sitting around for sometime before it was served. My creme caramel was well balanced in terms of taste and texture. Unfortunately, it had chain restaurant written all over it. However, service was polite, efficient ant friendly.

Met a friend for a long-overdue catch-up and had a delicious 3 course lunch. I had whitebait, venison pie and creme caramel, while she had the flatbread with camembert, chicken and the creme caramel. Extremely good value for money and not a scrap left on the plates! Will definately be back.
