It was ‘ok’ - have had better. Both chicken dishes we felt the chicken was dry had been cooked earlier & kept warm or - warmed up. Service was prompt but felt a bit ‘hurry up and place your order’ (decided they must want the table back after xx hour(s)?) when we needed a bit more time due to chatting with relatives we hadn’t seen for a while. Once ordered the food arrived spot on - not too quick not too long wait When we got to desert the menus werent placed on the table nicely more rushed service. Had to grab mine to stop it flying off the table. Overall I guess not the best as the final conclusion was the accoustics poor. Could barely hear what was being said - acoustics when dining for myself are an important part of restaurant design/build. Being able to talk without shouting. We will use another place to catch-up next time in chichester sadly.

We often dine here and always recommend to our friends etc. The food is always to our expectation and the staff are always very helpful and pleasant. They always ask if you have any food tolerances and will accommodate to your requirements. We have never had a problem.

Fantastic staff, very welcoming and friendly, topped off by the delicious food. It was actually my last meal before I got married and although we hadn’t told them that, the staff treated us wonderfully and made it a very special meal with my closest friends.

Always welcoming. Good value but let down by the house wine Would certainly return. Set menu changes often Tables not too near each other but they do not guarantee table bookings

We had a delicious breakfast which was served by friendly waiting staff. What more could you wish for? The only problem if I am being picky is that the coffee machine is very noisy!

Excellent menu choice, especially liking April specials. The food was delicious and the service as good as always. In a city with plenty of good eateries this is our go to place.

Wonderful meal for mother’s day. Quite expensive overall and an automatic 12% service charged added to our bill even though it was just 3 of us on the table. It won’t stop up visiting again but perhaps not as often.

Excellent service. Delicious food - very reasonably priced. Slightly disappointed to receive an email when I got home offering a free cocktail during February- we didn’t get the information beforehand! Never mind - we had a yummy meal and our waitress was charming.

We are devotees of the Chichester Festival Theatre and always begin our evenings there at Cote. We visited yesterday evening with friends before going to see 'This is my Family' and Cote did not let us down. We all agreed it is the best value for money for miles around.

Helpful staff just a shame the breakfast was cold. Having a warmed plate would help, especially as the food has to be carried down two flights of stairs from the kitchen or perhaps not left waiting so long before being served? Cold eggs not great.

A pleasant lunch with courteous service. The only concern was that the staff seemed ill prepared for a question about a food allergy. Other chain restaurants visited in the past 2 months were far better prepared and could immediately identify suitable dishes.

From the warm welcome and charming service, the choices off the prestige set menu, were spot on! The salmon rillettes was both tasty and zingy fresh (although for my part the accompanying toasted sough-dough would have been better without being brushed with olive oil) however the basket of crusty french bread, that we'd already ordered with olives, served me very well. The main of seabass with fennel was delicious, ordered with a tomato salad. It all made for a perfect lunch. Of all the chain restaurants, Cote has never failed to hit all the right notes.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of the city. I arrived a little early - my table was ready The restaurant was busy being Saturday evening. Despite this my order was taken and served promptly by the friendly efficient staff. The food was, needless to say, delicious. Will certainly return [if I can get a table] Highly recommended

Excellent food, service and ambience. Well done. We were a party of four and had Breton Fish stew, Cassoulet and Sea Bass between us. All good choices and good size portions. The crepes with chocolate sauce went down well at the end.

Always great food, well prepared. Would have been nice had the server who dropped greasy, dirty cutlery in my lap had apologised and tried to do something about it. Embarrassing trouser stain covered by jacket during theatre trip. Gratuity reduced accordingly.

Overall enjoyed it waited service excellent- infortunely my swordfish was undercooked and there was no attempt to re solve issue despite indicating it was cold and v v pink/raw inside. Others found meals rather limited in meat and bones (chicken).
