Côte Chichester

This is a truly well-managed restaurant. The staff are friendly, professional and efficient, and there is a lovely ambience - and this would score a 6. However the round tables for 4 people are too small, and I think this is a factor in folk not wishing to dine there late in the evening - it’s just not conducive to a socially positive experience, when you’re squashed together. The food, both in quality and price is very competitive, though, personally-speaking, the amount of salt added either in the cooking process or before food is reheated, is far too high. Overall, this is one of Chichester’s top 5 restaurants.

Excellent, friendly and efficient service. Great atmosphere and back ground music tasteful. In fact it's all tasty at our favourite restaurant Cotes. We highly recommend, especially for value.

Excellent food and service, experience enhanced by the complimentary bottle of Malbec, which was very pleasant! Would return to Cote at Chichester in a flash.

It's a great reataurant with good food and attentive staff but it is very noisy and this is made much worse by the coffee machine.

The wrong order was put through for both my starter and main but after a short delay the staff corrected the problem quickly and efficiently.

Our favourite restaurant in Chichester, although we did make a bad choice with our menu, it was not actually as described in the details. Device and atmosphere however were both excellent.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on Thursday, the menu was excellent and the staff and service superb. Cote is our favourite restaurant as we are always made to feel welcome and the dishes are cooked and prepared to perfection. Thank you!

Attentive and helpful waitress. Food arrived promptly. We had the early bird menu. I was a little disappointed with my choice but my friend enjoyed hers very much. Due to internal set up of restaurant it is inclined to get a little noisy if there is a large group of people. Therefore good but not excellent

We have been going to this restaurant for a long time and this was our worst experience, I booked 3 weeks ago for the January offer which included a bottle of wine but when we got there they had run out of the wine in the offer, the staff have all changed since our last visit 3 weeks earlier and we were not informed that the wine had run out just given the house wine in place of the offer wine, it was only when I questioned the wine that I was told they had run out, I think we should have at least been offered a choice, we had to wait a long time to order our meal and again a long wait between courses, not our normal good experience of Cote.

The best breakfast in Chichester. Great food and service at a reasonable price. Wonderful way to start the day. Good for lunch and supper too.

Disappointing no advertised Merlot, as a free gift promised. Food was quite nice as usual but felt service was not brilliant. More attentive to the table either side, perhaps it was because we had a free bottle of wine and when the bill came we had been charged for it! Not happy🙁

Great ambience plus Excellent service added to our experience with a delicious menu. We were party of 4 and highly recommend Cote Chichester. The Breton Fish Stew was especially delicious.

Had a delicious lunch of sea bass and fennel, my friend had sea bream. Desserts was lovely too. Service friendly and a bottle of complimentary Chardonnay was a very welcome addition! Would do this again for my birthday on 1st March if another complimentary wine will be available.

We had a great brunch at Cote. The formula breakfast is really good value for money,

I had steak and chips from the lunch menu which was fine although on the small side. My daughter had fish pie. Unfortunately she found a small piece of red plastic in the sauce. We made the server aware and she took it away - she returned saying the chef said it wasn’t plastic but a piece of red pepper. That was definitely incorrect and a cover up and made us feel we had done something wrong. However they did bring a replacement which was ok and did not make a charge for it. The whole episode made us feel uncomfortable and that we were trying to get a free meal when that certainly wasn’t the case. I doubt we will return as there are many other restaurants in Chichester.

We were made very welcome on arrival. The range of food and drinks on the menu was good with reasonable prices. Excellent service and food. We very much enjoyed our meal and the overall atmosphere.

Lovely tasty food - leek vinaigrette and Sea Bream (if not a little on the small side), in contrast the Rat/feu and seafood pasta were ample! Apple crumble delicious as was the creme caramel. A little bit on the 'echo/background noise' side for the aged P but we had a lovely lunch

I am a fairly regular customer at Cote. Today I was for the first time very disappointed in the food at Cote Chichester. The salt cod croquettes were tasteless and seemed to consist of mashed potato with little or no trace of fish and the chicken breast was likewise dry and tasteless and the accompanying potato more like reconstituted dried potato. The service was as usual very good. Neither course appeared to have been freshly made and more like that from a central supplier.

It is always a pleasure to have a meal at the Chichester Cote. While the food is most enjoyable the staff are very polite. That is not always the case at other places. Thank you for a good evening. Reggie

I am a coeliac the choice on the menu was more than adequate for me and we were a lovely meal by very attentive staff. Will be back soon.

Very good food. I had steak which I always love. They let me try a few wines which were not my fave but probably because they didn’t have Malbec which is my fave. But we settled for one that was recommended. It was My birthday and they gave me a glass of fizz too. A nice touch

Fabulous atmosphere, staff and food at this busy Chichester restaurant. Sea bream was beautifully cooked, moist and full of flavour and steak cooked as requested - blue. Haven't been here for a while but will definitely return in the near future. Hats off to the management here, seems as though there is a great team here front and back of house.
