12.5% tip added to bill, tiny portions. Service is okay but our waitor was a bit abrupt and aggy. Slammed a coca cola bottle down.

4 of us had a very nice meal with excellent service so that we were able to get to the theatre well on time. The duck was particularly good

Yet another excellent lunch; our steaks seemed even better than ever and, as we expect, the service was up to standard. Only issue is it is still a bit too noisy - need some cloth panels perhaps on the walls, but we will continue to go regularly.

Another lovely meal at cote, our go to restaurant in Chichester. Yes, it is a chain restaurant but the food and service are good and consistent.

We go to Cotes quite regularly. The service is always great, staff are friendly and on the ball. The lunch / pre theatre menu is just enough without over facing yourself. The food is simple yet tasty. I definitely recommend Cotes Chichester

In a slight hurry so didn't make the most of what Cote had to offer. Very pleased with service and food (main course and some deserts) were well presented and tasty. We've booked again for Sunday so that probably says it all. Their range of soft drinks and beers/ciders could perhaps be wider but not really an issue.

Excellent food and service, staff very friendly, will definitely go again. We had rabbit pie as a main, haven't had rabbit in years, made such a lovely change.

Once more another excellent meal at Côtes in Chichester. Although the restaurant was very busy for a Wednesday evening the staff were very attentive and pleasant.

Good meal, good value with friendly staff. Unfortunately, inspite of asking before ordering, that our bill be separated into 4 couples and being told no problem - when the bill came we were told it was not possible the till won’t allow it! ...why say yes in the first place then!!!! Other than that irritation we all had a good evening

Everything first rate apart from stringy steak frites which was a disappointment. Duck and salmon dishes could not be faulted and service attentive. We were not charged for the steak.

As someone who suffers from Coeliac Disease I value Cote as my go to safe restaurant for good quality gluten free food, it has never let me down either by quality of food, service or confidence in their policies with regard to a safe gluten free environment. This visit was no exception. I am pleased that they are accredited by CoeliacUK the charity for coeliac disease.

Having been to many Cote brasseries including Saturdays in various London locations it surprised us that the Cote Chichester does not offer the fixed price menu on Saturday. So we had the main course which of course ends up much more expensive. I had the spinach and mushroom crepe which I have had many times before in other Cotes, it was greasy, swimming in oil and I had to leave half of it. My husband had a rather overbaked belly pork. Considering that these are their standard main course dishes the chef in the kitchen should know by now how to cook these. That said the staff were superb, friendly, obliging, smiling and genuinely helpful. Whilst the front of house staff are excellent the kitchen may have a problem.

Cote Chichester is a favourite of ours at lunchtimes. The service is exceptionally good and the staff so friendly. We have a new waitress this time and she was very efficient and charming. We chose hot main courses: salmon with ratatouille, cod goujons and a burger - all delicious and nicely presented. The food appeared quickly although the restaurant was quite busy. We never feel rushed at Cote, just very well looked after.

Had quick meal before theatre - one course each approx I think £11.50/95 per dish - one chicken and one steak. The steak was cold but on having this pointed out it was removed immediately and the whole meal replaced in 10 minutes max. Very good service.

We were attending a Matinee @ the Festival Theatre. I booked a table for after the matinee. Upon arrival we received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The waiter and waitress were both excellent, and brought the complementary filtered water immediately. The saturday Specials offer good value for money. The food was beautifully presented, and served immediately after cooking i.e. the French fries were beautifully crisp, the salads fresh and the dressing superb. All in all this made for the perfect experience, and made for a wonderful meal.

A bit noisy with the person sitting too close next door having a penetrating voice! So left as soon as possible Also still no gluten free beer - as requested here and elsewhere in numerous occasions. It’s not difficult to get hold of!

Good service, good food and good value for money. It's about time though that you stopped training your staff to say that you are giving the tap water free as it is obligatory to offer tap water!

As always a real pleasure and my 14 year old grandson loves his occasional visits there. He remarked that it feels like a privately owned restaurant and not one of a chain. The food is always good and the staff are always helpful - can’t beat it locally.

Set in a good location just a short walk from the cathedral and the main shopping streets, the premises are more spacious than they look from the outside. The choice of food is good and there is always some seasonal specials to go with the old favourites. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices have increased recently but remain fair value for the quality.

Service was quick, courteous and enthusiastic despite the crowd in the restaurant. Food and wine tasty and well cooked. The air-conditioning was a bit too cold which made our food cool down too late quickly but it was turned down when we asked.

We booked the last slot at 10.30pm. When we arrived the restaurant was nearly empty, we were given a round table which was rather too small for four people especially when there were many other larger tables free therefore it was difficult to get everything on and the table became very cluttered. We ordered our starters and mains but when we had finished our main we were told that there were no desserts as the kitchen staff had gone home. We were not advised of this when when placed our initial order, this was rather disappointing as we should have been warned when we placed our order for starters and mains or during the meal before they went home. otherwise the food and service was excellent, as always. However they need to change their menu more frequently!

We had Breakfast at Cote Chichester on Monday morning, not too busy so very attentive service, having said that the service is always good at this restaurant. Full English and Eggs Royale at a very comfortable window seat so we could watch the world go bye. Nice coffee and very well cooked tasty food ,only one moan , no beans with the Full English. We would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Excellent.
