Côte Chichester

Second visit in a week. Our go to restaurant in Chichester. Consistently good food and service. Not rushed even when they are busy, which is a lot of the time.

Two friends, my wife & I visited Côte in Chichester for a pre-theatre meal. The food was delicious, well presented and served in a timely and friendly manner. Indeed, our waitress was excellent; attentive and with a lovely disposition! Thanks to everyone....... superb! We’ll be there again later this week!

Beware of the creme caramel! We usually enjoy Côte, Chichester, but on our recent visit my husband took a bite of his creme caramel and bit into, and broke, a piece of ceramic. The manager was incredibly off-hand about this potentially dangerous event. He explained that the fragment in the dessert was from the pot in which it was cooked. He then assured us that he had since checked other pots and thrown away any other chipped ones in the kitchen! (He didn’t say how many). He finished by saying it was “just one of those things” and by way of compensation knocked the price of the dessert - £2 - off the bill!! Not what I call good customer relations, nor, I suspect, what Food Standards would call good practice.

We ate at Cote Chichester again last night, the third time in two weeks and going again next week! It's always a good meal, efficiently served.

Lovely restaurant with super staff and excellent value superbly cooked food. We love it!Toilets are lovely and clean and the restaurant has a great central location

Very pleasant and fast before the theatre,highly recommended. Very good food too and nice staff. Have visited on numerous occasions as it is the best place to eat particularly before the theatre.

Excellent lunch. Service was a bit slow but restaurant was very busy. Always enjoy lunch there. Have booked for Christmas Eve Lunch. Looking forward to it.

We were given a choice of tables. The waiter was very good and helpful. The food was great and the plating was attractive. We did not feel rushed at any stage.

I have eaten here many times before, the food is always good and great value. Generally the atmosphere is very good, can occasionally get a little noisy but the staff are what sets this restaurant apart. They are always welcoming, service is attentive and they go above and beyond to make sure your evening goes well. Thanks again!

An excellent meal today. The prestige set menu is great value and the moules, steak and chocolate mousse were all extremely good as was the service. Difficult to beat this standard

Went for brunch with 2 friends and was welcomed at the door. We all had different meals and all enjoyed ourselves. Our favourite place to meet up once a month for our catch up.

Nice location in an historic city, close to the Cathederal and Chichester Cross . Excellent service and consistently high quality reasonably priced french cuisine. The set menu offers excellent value in particular, and the new rib eye steak is delicious.

Great meal and service as always. Never been disappointed with dinner or breakfast. Highly recommend as spread theatre dinner venue ,excellent before 7pm menu with very reasonable price.

We just love eating at Cote, but yesterday’s meal was not quite up to their usual standard! I started with the soup which was just about warm, but certainly not hot. My wife had the pork croquette which was lovely! For our main course, I had the sea bream which was quite tasty, but my wife had the venison parmentier which was very dry and not anything like as nice as the one I enjoyed a few days ago in the Cote in Edinburgh! As usual, the staff were excellent; friendly and attentive. So......the meal was OK.......but only OK!

Table ready on time staff as always helpful,food was to a high standard which what one expects from Cote. A very pleasant lunch staff attentive without being "intrusive". Would recommend you book a table as it is busy, so as to avoid disappointment.

Good food and atmosphere. value for money is blown by high wine prices, extras such as bread and the dreaded service charge automatically added to the bill. Good definitely expensive for a chain.

Very good value for money and quick and friendly service. Went before going to Chichester theatre and their pre theatre lunch menu was excellent. We have been to 3 different branches of Cote and all consistently good.

Cote always provides good value and variety on its menu and their staff always welcoming and friendly. The offer is very consistent across locations. We regularly dine at the Chichester branch pre -theatre as an alternative to the in house restaurant.

Went for Sunday dinner, food was good, service ok, would be great to add some new options to the menu, I like Cote but feel the need to venture elsewhere as the menu doesn’t change and the daily specials not inspiring.

Excellent food and service; steak frites was, as always, delicious and the berries with white chocolate sauce delightful. There were no delays in receiving the food.

Nice atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. Waitress very helpful when we complained about cold fries. They were immediately replaced with hot, freshly cooked ones. We will definitely visit again soon

Had Sunday lunch at Cote Chichester yesterday, always good value, took my partner and he was really impressed, I usually go with girlfriends for lunch in the week. He had French onion soup, streak frite and pain perdu and I had crab mayonnaise, duck breast and cherry sauce and chocolate pot.

This is Cote has become one of our regular places to eat. The food is consistently good at value for money prices. What really sets this Cote apart, is the friendliness and quality of the team. Always a warm welcome and great service, which turns just a meal out into a lovely evening!

Convenient location. Friendly, prompt, efficient service. The food was exceptionally good and there was a wide choice on offer. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and look forward to eating there again.

My husband and I enjoyed some very tasty food at Côte yesterday lunchtime. I would have liked more vegetables with the pork tenderloin, but otherwise excellent.
