From the initial greeting to the good night at the door everything was perfect. The staff operation was slick, the food really tasty and well presented and the ambience first class. We'll done.

Excellent meal and service by an attentive manager and staff. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends. The Breton fish stew and tarte aux pommes were delicious.

All staff were extremely pleasant and well organised. Both the food and wine were excellent. I needed gluten free food and this was no problem at all. All food delivered to me was labelled gluten free. Will definitely be eating there again soon.

Have been to Cote several times over the past few weeks.Always go for the pre theatre meal There last week,the service was excellent. As senior citizens we usually get ignored,not here Food is just right hot very tasty and beautifully presented. Did not give a six,as at present they do not have elderflower pressie,management take note😀 Would also recommend the breakfast menu

Over the past year I have visited cote on several occasions and have always experienced sumptuous food and excellent service. In my books it is one of the top restaurants in Cardiff for enjoying a leisurely meal with family and friends.

Food, service and ambience all excellent. The 'welcomer' and our table waitress were particularly friendly and efficient, well done to both and thank you very much.

sorry but our anniversary dinner was ruined there was something in my meal I called the manager and he looked at it did not know what it was and took it away, he was appolagetic and offered me another meal but by this time my wife was not feeling like her meal because I thought it was something that looked and felt like a woodlouse , I asked the manager if he would bring it back but said he had disposed of it. sorry not happy at all. Great food, lovely breakfast and the Bloody Mary's we nice and spicy. First time I've used the one in town as I've always gone to the Bay. Would go there again.

We had the 3 course special menu. Food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great.. we will definitely go to this restaurant again. Great value for money

Good service. Fabulous food. Good wine choice. Really liked complementary water for table. The creme caramel dessert is absolutely amazing. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.

We were a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed the food. It was amazing! The service was fantastic too and nothing too much trouble. Definitely recommend! Side note.. rowdy crowd after the rugby match but it was ok.

The restaurant style is warm and tables are well laid out. Staff are friendly and efficient and the food is very good. The weekly special menu has a lot of excellent choice that sadly isn't available at the weekend.

The Cote has an interesting and varied menu. The food is authentic and consistently excellent; and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

It was very very good as always. Breakfast was a delight with delicious eggs and the fresh orange juice was superb. What more can I say?

The staff are always polite and helpful. Even when the restaurant is busy they still find time to give advice regarding food and wine. The set lunch menu is always good value and as it changes every month it never gets boring.

A little disappointed at this visit as my husband ordered a cote burger medium cooked with cheese and it arrived with no cheese a d very well done so they replaced it for one with cheese but again very well done. Although they took the price for the cheese off we had our meals at different times. I must pay credit though to how courteous the staff were, and very professional.

As usual excellent service and food. We love Cote. We have been eating at Cote for many years and are treated as valued customers. We are reminded of our visits to France.

This was our third visit and we were delighted yet again. The complimentary Kir royales were a lovely start to the meal. We were dining at 17:00 so it wasn't too busy and the atmosphere was stylish and relaxing. The service was very good and the food arrived quickly. The food was really tasty and beautifully presented. I look forward to future visits!

We enjoy Cote. Food is always good, although we feel that some of the food, especially the dauphinoise potatoes is a little over salted. This is not unique to Cardiff but seems prevalent in all the Cote restaurants we have used (Dorking, Cobham). The service is always excellent, speedy without being overbearing and attentive.

Great location. Early evening meal deal an absolute bargain. Service quick, efficient but non intrusive. I was dining alone and felt totally comfortable as a solo female traveller.

Disasterous. Table had been booked through Cote's own website and confirmation received. I'd printed the confirmation and presented it to the maite 'd on arrival But they would not hour their Reward scheme of a free bottle of wine without some code. (No mention of this requirement on their website!) I had not taken my mobile phone and therefore my fellow guests - my partner and a couple of friends - were obliged to try to access my e-mail account to try and locate this mysterious cote. The maitre 'd was patient and sympathetic. He went to have a word with the Manager to see whether all this was necessary. (Since I had registered for the Reward scheme surely it was an easy matter for them to be able to check my authenticity by checking their own website!) The Manager apparently refused and we were offered 1 glass of wine as compensation. The whole debacle lasted 35mins or more. Eventually the code was found and we got to see a menu. The meal was pleasant enough, but what was intended as a nice, quiet meal with friends (who are currently undergoing a stressful, sad time due to terminal illness in the family) was effectively ruined - completely overshadowed by those 30-40 minutes of beaurocratic harassment. At no point did the Manager show his face to offer any help, sympathy or apology. However, I want to emphasise that the maitre 'de and the serving staff were exemplary in his courtesy and efficiency under very trying circumstances.

Superb restaurant, great food, good wines, Staff super, friendly and helpful. Prices reasonable. This establishment is well worth putting on the list. It will become a regular visit.

Pleasant experience with a friend bottle of wine included with our lunch. The staff were professional as we have come to expect at Cote. Lunch was up to the usual standard.

Friendly welcoming staff Food of high qualityand when my husband's meal had to go back because the wrong choice was served, they took mine as well so it did't go cold

The restaurant was busy; but failed to get check back on both my main starter and main course. Unfortunately they both had issues (burnt/overcooked) Eventually the manger addressed the problem and my meal was refunded without drama and I received an extra glass of wine. The team need to focus on singles/couples as much as they do bigger parties which seemed to get all the attention!

We had a great meal at Cote Brasserie Cardiff Central, good choice of food, which was delicious, the staff were amazing and a particular mention must go to Solly, who was extremely helpful and also very knowledgable regarding the various wines, nothing was too much trouble for him. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food and service excellent as always. Cote is one of the best of the chain restaurants. Ate from the early evening menu which is very good value.

We had a lovely meal and service even though the restaurant and staff were so, so busy due to the 6 Nations rugby that evening. Always enjoy our time at Cote - thank you.

Good choice of menu although my meal arrived at least 5 minutes after the other people in my party. Waiter apologised and said he had forgotten to put my order into the chef.

Lovely evening, great staff, French onion soup really tasty, hot enjoyed. Duck excellent but could have been hotter. Great cheese and wine. Loved the coffee. Will return

Lovely food and very good service.Disappointingly the first coffee I was served was only warm and not hot. However this was replaced straight away with a lovely hot one as soon as I mentioned it. We all chose from the early evening menu and found there was plenty of choice.

Lovely atmosphere with helpful, attentive staff who nevertheless let us take our time. Chose set 2 course menu and selection was both reasonable and tempting House wine was great as was the coffee. My only niggle was that the main course of grilled chicken was slightly tough. The chocolate pot dessert with crème fraîche was to die for...... On the whole a really enjoyable experience - we will definitely be returning.

Brilliant! A joy from the moment we walked in until the time we left. The service was first class and the food absolutely delicious. Altogether a fantastic experience and we shall return as soon as possible.

Service & food excellent. Busy friday evening and with at least one very large table, nevertheless, our food was served promptly & charmingly and tasted delicious as usual.

The food was very good and the staff pleasant and friendly. I found the rewards system very confusing though. It would possibly stop me booking there again using this system.

We went to the Cote Brasserie in the early evening before a concert. As it was around 17.30 and a Monday evening it was almost deserted. The waiter was really friendly and had plenty of time for a chat which made dinner a pleasurable experience. We opted for the early evening menu which at £12.95 for three courses is really good value with more than enough choice. The food was tasty and portion size ample and would recommend this restaurant highly.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Food was very tasty, staff are well organised when dealing with gluten free meals. Only criticism would be level of noise in the restaurant making conversation quite difficult.

Excellent service and also excellent food, have dined at Cote in Worcester and so had a comparison but the food and service were both just as good

The staff were very attentive and considering it was a busy Saturday night, managed to seat us quickly. We enjoyed great food and a friendly service.

Cotes was quiet on Sunday afternoon. Just the thing for a leisurely late lunch after several hours 'shopping' in Cardiff. The food was great and the wife really appreciated the gluten free menu, including the Specials.

As usual, great food and fabulous staff. Attentive, friendly without disturbing our meal. Love the seasonal menus and matching wines. We visit regularly and will continue to do so.
