Friendly and welcoming, the staff were helpful and service was quick. Our food was fresh and the steak was perfect, we will definitely be back.

Great food. Great service. Not a lot more that can be said. The toilets are quite inaccessible so check if that may be a problem for you.

The quality of food was excellent and our complimentary bottle of wine was also very pleasing. We enjoyed sea bass and veal, crème caramel and tarte citron, with fresh mint tea to complete a very enjoyable experience.

Service was good but the food was very rich. I had the mushroom and spinach crepe and it was smothered in cheese sauce but was intended to be a lite bite. The rest of our group enjoyed thiers

We visited for lunch on a Wednesday. The ambience was bustling, with a warm welcome and invitation to sit at a table with a newspaper while our dining table was prepared; yes, we were almost ten minutes early, so no blame intended. Service was unhurried but attentive, and the standard of our food was excellent. We will certainly return. Graham Davies

The Cote always exceeds expectations. The staff delivered exceptional service. We had the lamb chop special and fully recommend the dish. We will return in the near future.

Both my husband and I enjoyed our meals. He had Cauliflower Soup, which he enjoyed but not as much as the French onion Soup he had last time. I had Savoie ham with remoulade which I thought was very tasty. His mains was a Steak Frites which he really enjoyed. I had what was one of the most superbly cooked pieces of hake I have ever had, accompanied by a very Mediterranean tasting chick pea stew. Only I had dessert, too full for a 'proper' desert I had strawberry Ice cream with lemon sorbet It was accompanied by a sort of 'tuile'.It that was really special. Next time I will order i scoop of ice cream with 2 biscuits/tuile!! All together a very enjoyable meal.

Although we had a table booked, we needed to eat earlier. This request was warmly met by the staff and we enjoyed, as always, an excellent meal.

The new website is not as good as previously as there is no box to put in any requests. e.g. I am waiting for a knee replacement operation so stairs are a problem for me and thus I used to request a table on the ground floor. That option is not available on the new web site. The restaurant otherwise is still very good value for money.

Food was amazing as was the serves will defo come back here!! One thing I realised that the rib eye streak has been froze before cooked as i like it rare you can tell the colouring of it apart from that amazing !!!!

I have been to Cote in Cardiff city centre about 6 times , and have always found it a pleasure to dine here. Great service, good food with a very varied menu, all in pleasant surroundings. Would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Pleasant, helpful staff, calamari was perfect and the fillet of beef cooked and tasted wonderful, wine superb, everything was a pleasure and will definitely go back

Great restaurant with a good feel to it and excellent service. The food was wonderful and was reasonable value for money. we had an upstairs window seat which was just perfect. My only complaint is the 12.5% service charge which is added to the bill. Accepting that it is optional I always feel that things like that should be left to the individual. A lovely evening and we will go again.

A nice atmosphere for Mother's Day and staff were friendly and efficient. Food was beautiful and good value for money. I would definitely recommend making a reservation through the website, as they told me they were fully booked when I phoned them!

Excellent food as usual always eat in cote when in cardiff. Always go for the french onion sousp for starters friends came with us last visit for the first time and they enjoyd the meal

The service was a little slow. There was no bread with the Breton soup (even though it was promised) and the crepe desserts were cold. Everything else was delicious though.

Visited with a client. We wanted a relatively light lunch and quick service as we both had engagements to move onto. Greeting was warm, service attentive & no delay in order taking. We had the 2 course fixed price lunch menu - food was great. My whitebait was freshly cooked; chicken chasseur had good flavours. Excellent.

Food very good, service and staff excellent. Only negative point 2 had the fish with puy lentils and the lentils were a little over done and had gone a bit softer than usual.

Been going to Cote ever since they opened in Cardiff Bay. Always fabulous. Best chain restaurant around. Staff very friendly. Menu always good. We are lucky in Catdiff to have 2 Cote restaurants.

Charming staff with good sense of humour. A very good awareness of gluten free requirements, excellent idea to put gluten free 'flags' on GF meals. Shame you can't make Coupe Noire dessert gluten free as it's delicious but good advice from duty manager to try ice cream with white choc sauce instead.

A frequent meeting place for us for breakfast or just a coffee. Good menu full of interesting options and very pleasant staff who are always happy to help.
