Côte Cardiff Central

Overall this was a positive experience. The only slight mishap was that the waiter tapped the wrong starter into the computer for one of us, but it was dealt with very quickly and the senior member of staff and the waiter both apologised. I usually go to Cote in Cardiff Bay, but had been to a concert in the city centre and so went to this one instead and will happily go back.

Waiting very good. Food served promptly and was very good. I would have given a higher rating if it had been less noisy. There was a party nearby so it couldn't be helped given the arrangement of the tables in the room.

This is a comfortable environment but the toilets are a bit of a hike if your table is on the ground floor. The staff were warm and welcoming and the ribeye steak was excellent - well cooked and accompanied by a small portion of fries and watercress.

Really good service - quick and polite. The food is really good - we went for the early evening which is good value for money but has lots of options too!

The sevice and food was of a high standard. We were given a good table to aid two of our party who were disabled. Thank you for an enjoyable culinary delight. A Phippen.

Another really good gluten free dinner. It is great to be able to eat out knowing that I can eat safely and not worry for 4 hours that I will have horrible people reaction.

Very disappointing meal with Cote - ordered 3 starters and only 2 turned up along with one of the mains. The main was sent back to the kitchen. We cancelled the missing starter as the missing one was still nowhere to be seen by the time the two starters were finished. Also ordered some sharing cheese bread but this arrived with the two starters. This should have come as an appetiser while we waited for the starters. Whole experience very disappointing and no one came over to explain the problem and apologise. Food was ok when it arrived but overall we were left very disappointed.

Top French cuisine in Cardiff. A wonderful experience. The staff are professional, polite and very knowledgeable regarding the menu. I have been holidaying in France for many years and can recommend the whole experience .

Excellent food , we both enjoyed two courses and shared dessert. Service also very good with pleasant and attentive staff. We will certainly return next time we're in Cardiff

Booked a table for four in Cote in Cardiff Centre for my son's special birthday meal, we have dined there several times before. Unfortunately the food was very average on this occasion, not bad enough to complain but not as good as we are used to in the past. Two of us had the Beef Bourguignon and we had to add a lot of salt and pepper to give it some strong taste and it didn't have a lot of sauce, it was a bit dry. The restaurant appeared to have only one disabled toilet ( which had hand towels overflowing out of the bin onto the floor ) and for a restaurant of that size it seemed inadequate and not looked after. I don't remember it being like that in the past. The service was, however, very good and they were friendly staff,

Stanf were will presented attentive providing excellent yet unobtrusive service. Food and beverages were of a hight standard, though slitely more expensive than others in the area but well worth the difference. The room and ambiance and other Intangibles were excellent

Wonderful attentive staff, high quality food, price top end. A good place to eat in Cardiff especially lunchtime. The free bottle of wine worked out more expensive than the lunchtime deals.

All gluten free food came out with flags and all staff were knowledgeable about gluten free food. Manager was so helpful when one of our party was late. Would definitely return.

Amazing food and service as always we had prawns to start with calamari. Then sea bass and steak frites! Along with delicious ice cream and hot chocolate sauce and tarte tatuin

Fabulous meal, great service The steak and chips Are amazing, don't forget to order the vegetables, well worth the extra definitely recommend to friends and family, even managed a desert which was lush,

I have been to cote several times now and as on previous visits, vey goodservice, friendly staff and excellent food. I have recommended aCote to several friends.

Maybe you have a new chef but lunch was far below usual perfection. Hopefully, it was just an off day but all four of us were disappointed

At Cote they really know how to make you feel welcome. The chef is fantastic, I had roast seabass and it was the best I've ever had; the flavours were amazing. Well done Cote.

Myself and 2 friends enjoyed a marvellous meal at Cotê Cardiff city. I chose this restaurant due to one of our party needing a gluten free option and Cotê has provided a delicious choice for us. Excellent menus, delightful staff and very good value. We also liked the choice of wines.

Staff great so helpful and courteous . We had a lovely starter & main course. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

All of us really enjoyed our choices of food from the lunch menu. The only negative thing was that the child's portion was very small.

we had an absolutely brilliant night, great atmosphere, great food and lovely chatty but not invasive service. Should have gotten the waitresses name as she was brilliant!

An excellent experience from start to finish.We were made to feel welcome on arrival and the service was friendly and attentive. Our meals were delicious and presented nicely. Most importantly, our children really enjoyed themselves and are already asking when can we go again!

Always good service, good food and a good atmosphere even for an early dinner. As a post-matinee show choice it worked well and was enjoyed by both parties.

A wonderful meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Staff were very attentive - the frozen berries with warm white chocolate was fabulous! We will be back

The food was delicious delivered at the right speed, not too fast, not too slow. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive. She was very efficient. I would return.

The service was excellent and we thought the early evening menu was good value. Everyone in the party enjoyed their meal. It was a enjoyable dining experience and will happily recommend the restaurant

I felt the evening was rushed. We ordered some bread and olives to start but before we had finished our main course had arrived. My chicken wasn't very warm. Dessert menus arrived as soon as we had finished our mains. We could have done the whole evening in less than an hour.

Another great coq au vin. As I said to the waitress, Cote is always reliably and consistently, good for a very fair price. Thank you, Cote.

Excellent service. Early evening set menu very good value. ‘Autumn salad’ didn’t really work as a dish. Not enough sweetness or cheese to counterbalance the bitterness of the butternut squash. Chicken needed more of the sauce it was served with rather than the Dijonnaise on the side as the dish was a bit dry without. Side order of French beans were overcooked. Very good Creme Caramel. Definitely worth trying this restaurant again though I’d order different dishes next time.

The food here is delicious. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is in a brilliant location for the city centre. What's not to like?!

Excellent as usual, thanks again. Self and two ex-colleagues had lunch in my favourite Cardiff Côte, Mill Lane. I guess I prefer this venue because of its position in the so-called café quarter. Without Côte the area would be pretty dreadful Regards Richard

Excellent, as always. The restaurant was exceptionally busy but the service was just as quick and friendly as ever. The staff are always pleasant and helpful.

Lovely food, great sevice, no-one rushed us altho it was a busy saturday lunchtime. A little overpriced but would visit again. Decent bottle of wine for £16.

Nice welcome . Set menu with a good choice. We were attending a concert and had limited time. The waitress was very accommodating in getting our food served quickly. Would definitely recommend .

Good food and good service. Set menu is excellent value. Drinks are expensive though. 12.5 % "optional" service charge is added to the bill automatically. Certainly worth a visit and a great location for the city centre
