Côte Cardiff Central

We had a lovely meal, mostly. When we raised a problem with the steak being a bit chewy but acceptable (given we had a deadline - tickets for St David's Hall) - we had a very good response. The manager came over to offer complimentary desserts and coffees. As we were on a deadline, we accepted coffee but were very pleased to have the cost of those AND two large glasses of wine, removed from the bill! Thank you Cote!

Fantastic service from friendly staff. The food was wonderful (the mussels were absolutely excellent) as was the wine. Overall, it really was a great experience.

Excellent food and very attentive service without being intrusive. Nice atmosphere. Good range of of menus: two set menus and a la carte. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food even better service! 3 courses and coffee's for less than 75 pounds. Cannot recommend highly enough. The Breton Chicken was cooked Perfectly. Will be back with more people.

Found the staff and the environment very pleasant. However, found the food somewhat disappointing,in particular the French Onion Soup was watery and lacking in flavour

Very consistent quality of food and service. We were greeted with a glass of fizz to start our meal and made to feel very welcome

The food was great and the service was good. The Early evening menu wasexcellent value with a varied choice of menu. I would go back.

As usual a very good meal celebrating a family event. The service was at the right level of attentiveness. The only comment I would like to make, is that I thought that the amount of fries that were served with three of my guests meals were a little on the small side. I did suggest that they ask for more . Also £20 for the steak is acceptable but it would be a a nice touch if the small jug of sauce was included and not almost an extra £3.

We are regular diners at Cote and have always been impressed with being greeted, service, quality and value of the food. We keep returning and will continue doing so!

Good value set menu. A number of dishes to choose from. Service good though restaurant was busy. Decent food. Well presented and tasty. Would go again.

IT WASNT THAT BUSY BUT THE SERVICE WAS SLOW, AND THE WAITER DIDNT SEEM THAT INFORMATIVE ON THE FOOD OR INTERESTED IN FINDING OUT EITHER

Early evening special meal was excellent and very good value. Service was efficient and friendly. Definitely recommend two or three course special menu before 7pm.

Excellent and delicious meals. Food served in plenty of time to attend theatre . We regularly use your restaurant and the management and staff are very friendly and courteous.

Great food and attentive service! Plenty of choice and several menus with set prices, definitely great value for money. However they could take a little more time between courses, I guess they need to free tables for the next sittings. Would definitely return again though.

Lovely restuarant, really quick service which was perfect as we had a show to catch but this did not affect the quality of the food. Best fillet steak I have had in years.

I thought it was fab! The food was great, the service was friendly and prompt, everything was served quickly and it was a stones throw from the Motorpoint Arena. Would definitely recommend!

As usual, lovely meal (Steak Frittes). Service was excellent and very accommodating. Will book again soon. Twenty five words is really too many to describe a pleasant meal!

Great atmosphere, good food, staff excellent. Plenty of choice on the menu and good value special menu's too. The place was very busy - testament to how good a place it is.

A pleasure to have a Gluten Free Menu and not to have ask endlessly questions about what the dishes contained as my wife is Coeliac. The meals were excellent as well as the staff.

We have been to this restaurant a number of times. As always the food was excellent as was the service. I can especially recommend the duck breast.

Great tasting food, a wide wine menu, good value for the money and great service, what more would you ask for. We will return soon.

Love the Cote. We've been so many times to both the one in the city and the one by the bay, the staff know us. Lovely food, lovely staff, AMAZING!

Very enjoyable experience. Alex, the waiter who looked after our table was excellent, being very patient with six very silly females. The meal was good. Service great, price reasonable.

The food was amazing , the service could of done with a bit of a smile and more friendly . The food prices were awesome , paying £3.80 for a bottle (1/2 ) of lager wound put me off .. sorry. You have so much competition , surely your customer service should be it ?? Compliments to the chef , your food is amazing , but it doesn’t just stop there .

Considering the tip is optional....it is put on the bill...£20 !!!! We had to chase chase chase the waiters for everything.....even the bill. My husband reckons his steak frites was out of a boil in the bag, but when you are with 5 other people it’s very hard to complain. Nah I’m done with Cotes.....never to return

This restaurant is reliably good in our experience.The staff are relaxed and friendly and very efficient even when under pressure at busy times. Most importantly the food does not disappoint.It is well prepared ,attractively presented and tastes fresh and flavoursome.

Varied selection on the lunch menu. Excellent service, pleasant surroundings, tasty food - can't fault it! I particularly like the fact that the menu changes - not everything, but there are always new dishes to tempt you.

The Côte Brassiere Cardiff Central was very good the staff were very attentive and professional . The meal was excellent and with a great atmosphere. It was my first time there but my wife has been before it will be our preferred date night location after this visit.

Very enjoyable breakfast with a good ambience. Good range of breakfast on offer with vegetarians and gluten free catered for without fuss. Very nice coffee!

Fab food and service. Location is great. Fittings and ambience are of a more expensive restaurant so feels like a proper meal out! Great value for money.

Forth visit over a period of time,and on all occasions we were warmly welcomed by polite and courteous staff. The menu is not large,but does not need to be,I can honestly say that on each occasion we dined in Mill Lane,the food was delicious,hence the reason why we keep going back. FIRST CLASS

Excellent menu if you need to eat gluten free. Good choice of starters, mains and desserts. Central location, good service. As a coeliac I will definitely be using the chain again.

Excellent food, excellent service. Staff were very attentive and the duck starter was amazing. Didn’t have the wine we picked but decent alternative offered. Would highly recommend.

As usual amazing food, the crab mayonnaise and April special Cod surpreme were out of this world. Great service and lovely atmosphere. One of our favourite Cardiff restaurants.

Went for a meal with family and were very well catered for. One of our party is coeliac and was impressed with the many options available on the gluten free menu. Food was pleasant and nicely presented. We were seated upstairs and thought the atmosphere was a little lacking but otherwise we had an enjoyable evening.

We have been to Cotes on numerous occasions and have always enjoyed a first class meal. The staff are very professional and attentive, I would certainly recommend this restaurant to people.

Lovely food and staff are very friendly but 12 1/2% tip added to bill is too much. I know it discretionary and you don’t have to pay it but I just think it’s wrong.

Glad we booked, as this place is always crowded. Efficient and welcoming staff. Our wine was corked - a rare thing, these days - but was replaced swiftly by the waiter. The chicken is always so well prepared; lovely. This is now one of our favourite 'chains'.

Great food and service as always. Consistently good. My favourite place to eat when in Cardiff and London. Waiter gave us two glasses of prosecco as we were celebrating our anniversary.
