Fast friendly service, lovely food and a good choice. We arrived early but were quickly shown to a table food served promptly and we all enjoyed our different choices

First class, just as we expected. We had the table we like and the service was excellent. We much prefer it to other choices in Cardiff.

The restaurant was very busy as it was a few days before Christmas day, but the service was just as good as it always is. So was the food.

Delicious food and wine. Excellent menu choice. Friendly staff. A bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Will definitely be going back and would recommend.

Excellent as always. Both the set menus and the a la carte menus have interesting and authentic options which change from time to time. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and good service. We ate a variety of main and dessert dishes from the December menu and all the food was enjoyed. House wine was extremely palatable!

Great Christmas atmosphere. Staff were as friendly and attentive as usual. Nice choice of menu for the festive period. Food well presented and very tasty. Good selection of good wines.

it was a very busy evening , but we did not have to wait for our table, the service was very efficient and the food was fabulous.

Centrally located so easy to get to when shopping. Very pleasant atmosphere and staff, we visit COTE’s regular without any issue however my prawn starter yesterday was dry and chewy resulting in me not being able to eat it. This was an exception the remainder of our meals (starters, main & desserts) were very tastey. In fairness to Cote’s they noted the left starter and asked if there was a problem and consequently removed the cost from our bill.

We liked the restaurant and had a most enjoyable meal. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The only drawback was an extremely loud and noisy party of ten that ignored all requests to moderate the noise, and this did rather detract from the ambiance.

Fast and attentive service. Food was very good. Chicken was the best. It must have been imported from France because even British organic free range varieties seem to be tasteless in comparison. We’ll definitely come again

Booking was easy I done it online. It was clean, the staff were really welcoming and helpful couldn't do enough for us, food was amazing worth a visit.

We both had scallops to start and duck breast for main. Food was beautifully cooked and the service was excellent. One of my favourite eating places in Cardiff.

The service was excellent as usual but the food was less impressive than usual. the soup could have been hotter and the vegetables crisper and fresher. It was chilly when the door was opened despite the staff putting a heater on and of course it is a little gloomy with scaffolding up. Not a complaint but feedback. The experience will nudge us to try an alternative venue for our next get together.

Excellent service, food, embiance and wine. Been here numerous times, it never lets me down. Will be booking again soon. Location is very good if you are going to see a show etc.

Lovely evening, booking was very easy to do and when we got there we got Great service, the food was amazing and it was all Great value for money. We will definitely be going back again soon

Excellent authentic provincial French cooking and an interesting menu. The staff are always unobtrusively attentive and helpful no matter how busy the restaurant is. Pleasant relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Good atmosphere in the busy central Cardiff restaurant. Food is good value for money, we'll presented and tasty, Staff friendly and efficient. One of the best of the city's restaurant chains.

Disappointed with first seating position as we felt the cold as the door was opened. Moved to better table further inside and meal and service were first rate.

Restaurant was quite cold lots of customers were sitting with coats on !... the quality of the food wasn’t very good . Had mussels to start & they were very small . At end of meal they automatically put 12% on for gratuity! When we asked them to take it off they did but didn’t ask if everything was ok with the meal . Wasn’t worth the £ 75 for two courses & bottle of wine . Very disappointing

Excellent meal but had to rush to make start of show at St David’s Hall. However the noise level at the restaurant was very loud

Superb food, excellent service, all in all a great experience. Not the first time we've been here and certainly not the last. Can't think of a nicer place for what was my birthday lunch.

Good service although my dish arrived quite a bit later than my companions, staff were very apologetic. Tarte Tartin only lukewarm.

Had the early evening menu (2 courses for £11.50) once again. Both courses were very tasty and I liked the fact that the menu was different to the last time we ate here, Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Great variety of menu choices. Chicken with roasted vegetables was excellent. Excellent service - prompt and friendly. Convenient for shopping and St David’s Theatre. Would recommend trying this Cote.

Uncomfortably hot atmosphere that made us feel so bad that we had to leave early. We were sat near the back and it was so stuffy and overwarm that no one enjoyed the food. Such a shame but we will never visit this Cote again. Awful.

As always we had great food, great service all at an excellent price, the £10.50 breakfast is excellent value with coffee/tea and orange/apple juice and toast all included in the price.

We have been to cotes many times we keep on going back as the food is excellent, the staff are very pleasant and professional nothing is too much trouble for them. Booked again today.

Despite being very busy because of the big rugby game the staff were very friendly and the food as usual of good quality and value

Cote is Cote, not the cheapest but good food, friendly staff and great service. Not a bad way to end an afternoon at the rugby!

The surroundings are well appointed, the staff efficient and friendly and the food is reliably excellent and served promptly. This is traditional French food at its best.

Food good but portions small with the early bird menu. Additional vegetables expensive for tiny portions. Really object to service charge being automatically added Service was good and staff pleasant

Good food, good service and good price especially on the £10.50 cooked breakfast. They are always friendly and helpful. We usually eat breakfast there but even when I have had lunch or dinner the service has always been great.

Lovely restaurant. The menu is extensive especially the gluten free menu. The staff are very helpful and the food is of a very good quality

As usual an excellent all round experience. Good to see old and new faces amongst the staff. Food maintains its high quality and represents excellent value for money.
