Once again we had a very pleasant experience at this French restaurant. A Lovely meal served by professional friendly staff with a relaxing ambience. Just love this restaurant Many thanks

The Cote restaurant is a favourite of ours in Cardiff city centre. We booked a table for 6pm before walking across to the St.David's Hall for a Catherine Jenkins concert. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived but we were served quickly by the very professional waiters and waitresses. We very much enjoyed our meals from the Prestige menu available before 7pm. The Breton chicken and the Pork Belly were excellent. We left in good time for our show.

We booked online and received the free Gin & Tonic specials for March. The food was exceptional and the service great. We will return for sure.

Really lovely staff & love the efficiency of the comi waiters. Very popular even early evening and so advise a booking. Good value specials & early evening menus.

Went for lunch before seeing Take That. Very busy but extremely well organised and staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Great start to our girlie day out , thank you!

Really disappointing, having booked to have the French 75 Menu for a a party of 5 we arrived at 18.30 and were advised that the cocktail “was off” as there were no lemons left! Strange that when our Calamari arrived that there was a lemon! A Kir Royale was offered as an alternative- the ONLY alternative! and we were also told the April Special pudding was also off. As we had come for the April menu this was also disappointing. Whilst I felt really sorry for the staff who were lovely throughout, I feel very frustrated by the whole Côte experience. 1) please don’t put out a seasonal offer that you can’t deliver 2) please don’t give an excuse which is clearly a lie! 3) if things run out please (which they clearly will) offer more than one alternative 4) hearing the tables next us complain on the same points as us doesn’t make for a nice atmosphere for dining, especially from 18.30 in the early evening! Based on this dreadful experience I will not be returning or recommending Côte to friends, family or business colleagues and will stay away.

Very pleasant experience was had by us all. The food and service were excellent. We were served quickly and efficiently which perfect as we were going to a concert in St David’s Hall.

Usual high standard of Food and service , you can always rely on Cote , which ever one you choose , we use the brand a lot and very rarely have a cause for complaint , when we have , it’s sorted immediate without any fuss at all

A great place to have lovely food. The surroundings make for a friendly atmosphere and the staff work hard to ensure you have the best experience.

A group of us meet every month and always enjoy good food, good service and a great setting. We hope to enjoy many more meals in this excellent restaurant.

Excellent meal. Great quality and presentation. Very helpful and friendly staff. We had Harrison looking after us and nothing was too much trouble. We were seated in the window which was really lovely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.

Meal inedible overcooked belly pork. Only eat vegetables that came with meal. Did offer to change but due to time constraints unable to wait. This was a special occasion so spoilt our day.

Wonderful staff and manager. Can’t do enough for you and always so cheerful. Plus great food on top and always consistent. Regular visitors this particular part of the chain.

Lovely service but the chef was over heavy with the salt on our steak. Unable to eat very little . Too much salt not good for your kidneys!

Staff happy to help and friendly but forgot knife for steak until asked. Had to ask for desert menu. Had to ask to order drink and food. Seating cramped and menu limited. Quality good and allergies taken and alternative offered. Shouting from kitchen distracting.

I thought the service from start to finish was very good , the food was very good and no fault with any of the food in standard . I would go back to coate and have a meal again as i have no complaints on food and service in any way .

Another really nice post performance supper at Cote. Bit short of time so went straight for main course from Specials menu - whole roast poussin on bed of peppers with fries washed down with a nice bottle of Macon Villages. So yummy we both used our fingers to get every bit of meat. Our go to restaurant in Cardiff.

Unfortunately our visit on Wednesday 27th February coincided with a very busy lunch sitting for both staff and customers. It took a while for our order to be taken and then, most frustratingly we just sat and waited- and waited! After prompting our starters eventually arrived. Service then improved and the main courses materialised with a bit better timing. Sensing our disappointment the waiter offered a 50% reduction on the food element of the bill. A decent gesture which was accepted. Nevertheless the lunch will not linger long in the memory. Reasonable food and wine but I doubt that we will be tempted to return any time soon.

Love this restaurant. Really quiet in there this evening so meant we were only there a short time as service was prompt. No complaints though as we stopped on our way home from a busy weekend in London. Food great as ever and staff all lovely.

As always friendly efficient staff can’t do enough to make our visit special. Love the fact that menu is never the same every time we visit. Crime caramel is to die for

I posted a review on my return from the restaurant before I had studied my bill. I mentioned the absence of disabled access to the premises, but then realised that I had been charged £23.80 for drinks which I had been led to believe, both by email and by the waitress, would be free. I'd be grateful if you would investigate this discrepancy and provide a refund. Many thanks Rhys Lewis

The restaurant is beautifully designed, the staff are very attentive and the food is excellent. The menu is always a joy to read and there are so many dishes that I would like to eat.

We come to Cardiff once a year in May for my birthday and always book in to ‘Cotes’ for guaranteed luxury. The staff are professional, attentive and friendly, making sure you want for nothing. The chefs are skilled at what they do, providing tasty dishes of high quality. We have encountered the odd noisy customer but it makes no difference to us. We love Cotes!
