Excellent food and top service. Always a good atmosphere and plenty of choice on the menu. Been several times before and we will return to this Cote.

That food is great and the waiting staff even better. The location is perfect for shopping then a relaxing meal in the restaurant. This was or third year on going there on Christmas Eve.

Would usually go to Cote in the Bay but thought we'd try this one in town as it was convenient at the time, we were very impressed with the standard and it lived up to our expectations our the regular visits to the Bay. The food was absolutely stunning and we had the early bird meal deal which was amazing for the standard of food. Definitely visiting the town centre Cote again!

We enjoyed the overall ambience and atmosphere. This added to the experience and the enjoyment of the food which was served by friendly professional staff.

We had a lovely meal on New Years Eve at Cote Brasserie Cardiff City Centre. Staff were fantastic despite being busy and food was delicious and great value for the NYE menu. Our waiter Bogdan was first class with personal service, good advice about wine and NYE extras a lovely touch. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant for Cardiff City Centre and a touch of class and Cote in general. Never fails to impress and highly recommended for couples and groups of friends. Well done.

Food only average. Have eaten at Côte before so thought try it again overpriced in my opinion, fairly limited choice on the menu. Unlikely to try Côte again

Absolutely beautiful. Never had food as nice as this place, highly recommend either the fillet steak or the half roast duck. Sublime, highly recommend it.

Good in all respects but really objected to a service charge being automatically added to the bill, we were not the only people not happy about this

We were seated promptly and the service was great. The food was lovely, all starters, mains and pudding!! The restaurant was a little on the noisy side but it certainly wouldn’t put me off going again.

Decent overall quality and good menu selection, but there was a rushed quality to the service this Friday night and an oddly dark and soperific atmosphere in this branch when we visited. An experience unlike Cardiff Bay or Bath restaurants which we have also visited fairly recently.

Very busy but meal and service was first class never the less. Nice table in the window and had the 3 course set menu. Very good and well done to all.

We regularly eat at this restaurant and always get good service and quality food in a relaxed environment. Food is freshly produced and although the menu doesn't change that frequently there is always something interesting to try with a healthy and wholesome edge.

Great friendly staff and atmosphere. I have always had great food at Côte previously, this time King prawns over cooked and steak too. The flavours and everything else was good.

We really enjoyed the meal. The service was fantastic and the staff were fully attentive. We finished the theatre earlier than expected and the staff did everything possible to change the time of our table to ensure that we didn't have to wait for the original time that we booked. Couldn't ask for more thank you

Wonderful food and service. Loved the Steak, calamari and pancakes. Lovely waiter who was very friendly.Will return again soon in January for food and drink

Good atmosphere and excellent service at Cote in Mill Lane. The early evening set menu was very good value so we will be back for lunch next time.

The food was really nice and reasonably priced too. The drinks menu is 90% wine though and no cocktails, so bear that in mind before you decide.

Did not find the usual Cote welcome and excellent service. Was busy, but not manic staff seemed a bit stressed. Saying that good service times and quality was good.

Quick service, good food and we were attended to very well. The aisle seat was a bit cramped but that's just minor. Would go again.

High quality meal, at reasonable price on lunchtime menu in good atmosphere. Portions on small side, but three courses enough. Good service as well. Watch out for the compulsory gratuity though.

Usual high standard. Formule deal (cooked breakfast, hot drink and juice) excellent value. Nicely cooked and presented. Great service. All in all an excellent breakfast.

My friend and I went there for our Christmas get-together and chose the daily specials. We found the Food overpriced for what we got. Also, the 12.5% tip - £10.88 was pretty steep. The restaurant has a good deal if you choose the lunch menu but the other prices are high.

Good food , good atmosphere but one dish arrived cold. However this was replaced and the cost of the meal removed for the bill. Staff were courteous and friendly.

Very organised service for a very busy Christmas night (Dec 15th). Good food and service was prompt. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we'd go back again

Pushy waiter, my Halibut steak had a bone in it and the edge was cooked solid, my wife had crab mayonnaise and ended up with food poisoning - the rest of the food was OK. Not a very happy experience to a day trip to Cardiff to pick grandson up from uni. Too add insult to injury a tip of 12.5% was already added to the bill. Whatever happened to discretionary tipping for good food and good service. Yes you could decline to pay the tip.... but the practice itself should be banned.

Starters were lovely. My main course was duck with a cherry sauce but found the sauce bland. Dessert was not much better. When I mentioned to the waiter he thbked me for my feedback, but wasn’t concerned that I had not enjoyed my meal.

Very good deal on wine. Lovely atmosphere and lovely food. Ideal for post Christmas shopping and then train journey home. I always tip but wish that automatic gratuity was not included, as I like to tip based on my visit

Restaurant ambience was great, unfortunately the food was not as special as we had hoped, rather mediocre. Our waitress, Tracey, was excellent, friendly and attentive.

Excellent food. Lovely corner table for our little party. Attentive and friendly staff. Only negative was that we had to preorder our meal and had I ordered on the night I may have chosen didferently.

Table of 5 everyone enjoyed the food. Staff very helpful.For a future visit would appreciate more choice of vegetarian options. On my 2 visits 12 months apart there has only been risotto as a veggie main option.

The environment was pleasant despite the restaurant being busy. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and the service overall was very good. Very enjoyable meal.

The service was good. But unfortunately the experience was let down by the food. The starters of smoked salmon and crab were fine (can't go far wrong with these). We waited a long time for the mains and when they came the pork belly was overcooked and dry and the halibut was the same. I think they had been served up and forgotten and were then blasted in the oven to serve. Doubt that we will go again.
