Steak was not good but had a credit on the bill. Crepe was cold but everything else was good

Lovely set menu delivered with a smile & very promptly! Busy restaurant with festive party goers but service was still good. Langoustine tails & eggs benedict to start followed by goats cheese & breaded chicken with fennel etc for main. Even squeezed in a chocolate pot! Delicious, thank you.

Excellent as always. The small hot/cold top was missing off one of the taps in the Gents so could only give 99 out of 100 instead of the usual 100/100.

Staff were lovely. We came because we liked the look of the December special. However, the first meals we had were cool x3. They were replaced without fuss and we were given complimentary wine. The second fillets were better than the first but again could’ve been hotter. We didn’t complain again as we didn’t want to make a fuss. Overall we enjoyed the evening but it didn’t meet our expectations of previous experiences.

Great food and lovely atmosphere. A bit pricey but lovely time.

Would have been 5 but for a mix up of orders. This was put right immediately with an apology and free dessert so no complaints. Apart from that, the service was brilliant. Food came out just at the right time, no long waits. Food was delicious. Would definitely go again.

Great service and food was good, the cassoulet was a bit dry but it's understandable at this time of year when your delivering lots of covers.

having ate in this restaurant a number of times, never having a bad meal before, I would have highly recommended the venue, however last night we ate off the Christmas menu, the food was very disappointing, we did comment this to both the server and manager. later I spoke to a group who had been to the Newport restaurant who also had a bad experience from the Christmas menu. I would add the staff were great and attentive

Excellent service, food and personal device from staff. We had a lovely pre-theatre meal. One thing that might be improved, would be complimentary drinks as it's the festive season. I fine regularly at Cote Cardiff Central, and feel that this would be a nice touch for regular customers. Thanks

A lovely setting and a nice atmosphere. The staff, Nico in particular were excellent. The food was outstanding, my only criticism was a few of us had the french onion soup, it was very tasty and highly recommended but when the Soup bowls were served to us, there was a lot of overspill down the sides, it looked messy and unprofessional. They could have cleaned the outside of the bowl before serving. That would be my only minor criticism and will certainly. It put me off going again very soon.

Great staff, so friendly & helpful. Food was delicious. We love the consistant standard of Cote restaurants throughout UK. Our initial table was directly under a speaker & I struggle hearing with loud background noise but staff promptly & most courteously found us another table.

Atmosphere was good, staff were good and attentive, and the food was superb.

Our food arrived before the drinks and I had to chase up their whereabouts. Food was good. Drinks finally arrived as we're on the last mouth full of food. I had to ask for the bill whilst the staff bickered between themselves at the till. It was then I noticed I was being overcharged by nearly £8! I then complained about the service and that I was being overcharged. Another bill then arrived minus the service charge and the overcharge. Not a positive experience.

As usual we had a lovely meal and the staff were fantastic, a special message to Christina she served us she was fantastic and so was the manager, and always nice to have a complimentary cocktail.
