Why is the pork not with crackling all the rest of food brilliant

Never disappointed. Lovely atmosphere buzzing. Great attentive staff. Location perfect for The Millennium Theatre Cardiff. When choosing the wine and not sure which of the two we would prefer our waiter gave us a sample of both to try. Great service. Nothing is too much trouble.

Great ambience, busy hustle and bustle of a restaurant. Location was perfect, staff were friendly and very busy, we didn’t receive all our order due to the restaurant being so busy but the overall meal wasn’t ruined by this.

As usual food was excellent and good value for money. Service very good and staff very pleasant and helpful. Slight blip - my friend had the butternut squash dish with poached egg and she found the sauce too mustardy which spoilt it for her.

All of us really enjoyed all our courses, everything was cooked well and tasty plus the service was also fantastic, everyone serving us was friendly and helpful. Perfect!

All excellent except a delay to our main course in the kitchen meant we had to miss our dessert in order to get to the theatre on time.

The steaks we both had were so unevenly cooked, both asked for medium and was raw in some parts and over done in others, also both so fatty only able to eat half of it

The food was delicious, the four of us enjoyed the atmosphere, the service was Superb. The chocolate mousse was the perfect way to end a delicious meal.

This continues to be one of the best Cotes we have visited. Good food cooked well and excellent service. Enjoy it while you can before B____t finishes it off.

We went here to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary, we had never been before but had an amazing experience. The food was exceptional and the staff were so attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Excellent breakfast at a reasonable price.I would have preferred if the dish I had was called a “Full Welsh Breakfast”How can you have Full Ennglish” in Cardiff the capital city of Wales?

Lovely atmosphere and fantastic service. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, thank you. We were celebrating our twenty fifth wedding anniversary and were treated so nicely with a complimentary glass of bubbly!

Antonio and other staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful The food was outstandingly good. The drinks both complimentary and bought were excellent. The staff were fast & the food appropriately hot. A very good experience.

Food excellent, waiter rude and made us feel very unwelcome. We were told what time we had to vacate the table before we'd ordered our food. Toilet sinks blocked and we were told we could not wash our hands after using the facilities. Not my best experience of this restaurant, although funily enough a tip was still expected to be given!

Booked table for4 for pre opera meal. Usual warm welcome and seated by very friendly staff. We ordered our meals from the lunch and early evening menus - great chose of starters and mains, I can recommend the fish forrestiet. Excellent range of wines, coffee and teas. The food and service were excellent and we out in time for the opera. I would strongly recommend booking in advance if you wish to eat prior to goingvto the theatre because this lovely restaurant gets very busy.

I had been looking forward to this visit for quite some time. However it was exceptionally disappointing. Having arrived at the time our table was booked we were left waiting 25mins before our order was taken. Our starters were tasteless, especially considering we had chosen from the more expensive specials board. Once the main meals arrived it was clear they had been waiting under a hot lamp for quite some time. However we had also been waiting to have the starters cleared for some time also. We felt as though we couldn’t get the attention of any staff having finished our bottle of wine and unable to order more. I would understand if the restaurant was busy, but it was not. The only thing that came quickly was the bill, but even then it took some time for the server to come and take payment. It was only after we had waitied and then put our coats on to walk to a till that someone attended to us. They then scuttled off without moving the drinks bucket that was blocking myself in my seat. Although this restaurant is right around the corner from my home I surely won’t ever return. And certainly wouldn’t recommend.

Service could have been a bit quicker but as it’s the holidays nothing to rush for!! Please put ice cream sundaes on your menu ! My hubbys an ice cream freak. Overall it was enjoyed by all Thank you

Warm welcome, excellent location 10min walk from voco hotel. We chose from the valentines menu which was perfect the shared desert was wonderful as was the food in general Lovely friendly staff Highly recommended

Restaurant very busy on a bank holiday Friday but staff doing their upmost to accommodate and create a friendly atmosphere. Food excellent as always . Thanks guys look forward to returning soon !

Excellent food and service as usual , especially on a very busy day , we had one slight issue , my starter wasn’t hot , changed it without any fuss and then removed it from the bill . I offered to pay for it as the replacement was excellent .

Not the best experience we've had there. My aunt and uncle were visiting from Canada; being French Canadian I recommended Cote @ Cardiff Bay. However, on two occasions, my aunt was missing her spoon (soup and ice cream) and her dessert arrived late. Also, my steak was fatty and missing the garlic butter; when requested by the waiter, I was provided with a dish of freezing cold butter slices, unlike the smooth, warm butter received by the remainder of my party. Disappointed on this occasion as they are capable of much more.

Front of house gentleman is superb, perfect for the role, what a star. Waiter really professional. Food excellent, very good value for money. We come often, everyone should try Côte, they won't be disappointed

Thank you so much for looking after us. Enjoyed the food especially the boudin noir special. Main courses were fab - I enjoyed my garlic butter sirloin and my partner equally enjoyed her peppercorn steak. Crepe for dessert complete with candle and singing service topped off a lovely day of celebration. Your staff were all lovely with my five year old daughter who devoured her sausage and mash. Totally recommend the Cardiff Bay Cote . Thanks again guys! Rob, Rach & Georgia xx

Sent an email already but no reply. Staff were lovely however meal very overpriced. Steak very fatty Fish pie very underwhelming .Given a small table where we had to move every 5 minutes to let other diners exit and enter. Would not recommend.

Great food, excellent service, very accommodating when we phoned to say we'd be late!

I think you should stop charging the gratuity of 12.5% on wine automatically. Wine is an important part of the dinning/eating experience for my family and to be surcharged for this privilege is completely wrong. Yesterday our bill was over £110 which was split 50/50 wine and food. Being charged another £7 on top of what 1s relatively expensive wine is just wrong in my opinion.
