Lovely breakfast and friendly staff Great location at Cardiff Bay.
Another really yummy post performance supper at Cote Cardiff Bay. Fougasse bread get us off to great start before moving on to delicious rump of lamb. Washed down with our usual gutsy Treviac red wine. Pleasant, unrushed service. Looking forward to our next visit!
Great food and service with a consistently good menu. Good gluten free menu as well. Great for pre-show food
Great restaurant for pre-theatre meals before attending a show in the Wales Millennium Centre nearby. Good food and service. Great gluten free menu.
Great restaurant for a pre-theatre supper. Good food and service. Good gluten free menu as well
Great location in Cardiff Bay. Good food and service. Gluten free menu and good service for Coeliac diners
Great restaurant for lunch with friends. Good service. Good food.
Fabulous food and service. Always good for gluten free diners
Consistently good food and service. Very handy location for events in the nearby Wales Millennium Centre and therefore pre-theatre supper
Always a good choice for a pre-theatre meal and handy for the nearby Wales Millennium Centre. Good food and service and care taken for gluten free diners
Pre-theatre favourite restaurant. Great for the Wales Millennium Centre. Good food and service. Excellent for gluten free diners.
Great service and food as usual. Good for gluten free meals.
Another yummy post performance supper at Cote Cardiff Bay. Two of us had beef Bourgignon, two of us had filet steak. Cooked to perfection and utterly delicious. Washed down with a gutsy Malbec. Friendly attentive service. A really enjoyable meal.
Dining at Cote following a menu refresh is always exciting. This time the pork tomahawk had caught our eye. Our expectations were exceeded. An absolutely stunning dish. Everything else (starter, wine, service etc) up to usual high standards.
We have never ever had a bad meal here. We had a special request that was seamlessly accommodated and the food was wonderful as ever.
Very happy with our meal. Service was seamless, food excellent.
Great to be back at Cote Cardiff Bay in glorious sunshine! Delicious starter (calamari) and main (poulet Breton) washed down with their incredibly good value entry level white wine. Couldn’t resist yummy dessert either.
Nice food, lovely table, great service. Always pleased with the gluten free menu.
Was shown to our table for 4, lovely meal, very busy, so glad I had booked, ordered dessert just for two people, waited over 20mins, had to ask waitress where it was, the waitress who took the order, did opoligise, as she forgot, when they did come out, another opologie, and told us they would not charge for them, I understand it was busy, so overall very happy with the meal, and yes, we will be returning.
Libby and Rhianon who served us were excellent! Thank you
Brilliant prix fixe menu at Côte on Cardiff Bay. Lovely presentation of food. Nice atmosphere inside the restaurant and great service by Salome who is very friendly and helpful and kind.
Rare pre performance dinner for me at Cote Cardiff Bay. Less time so went for set menu. Whitebait, poulet grille with potatos, tarte au citron, large glass white wine and water. With service under £29. Great attentive unrushed service. Fantastic bargain😀
The launch of a new menu at Cote is always a special event. Really enjoyed the new Cote de Boeuf for 2 with all the trimmings. Washed down with Treviac red wine, our favourite. Usual great dining experience. Great to see Cote Cardiff Bay really buzzing now that shows have returned to Wales Millennium Centre near by.
Another great post performance supper at Cote Cardiff Bay. This time we went for fish - lemon sole and Breton fish stew. Both delicious. Washed down with entry level French white. Extremely potable and great value. Service as good as ever. A lovely meal.
It is good decoration restuarant but the food is fair
Another fabulous meal at Cote Cardiff Bay. Great food at reasonable prices, unobtrusive service and a warm welcome
Another yummy supper at Cote. Beef Bourgignon delicious and washed down with gutsy Treviac red wine. Tasty dessert. Excellent service. Sadly closing the kitchen at 10pm is likely to restrict our meals out here as we prefer to dine post performance. But still our go to restaurant in Cardiff. Bay.
Another great day combining a film at Everyman with supper at Cote next door. The set price deal was excellent value, as was the entry level white wine. Food yummy as always. Great attentive and unrushed service. Looking forward already to our next visit!
Another great evening combining culture (Everyman cinema next door) and great food and wine at Cote Cardiff Bay. This time we brought 2 friends to share the experience. Lovely window table for 4. Usual delicious Cote classics eg calamari, pâté, chicken and mussels. Finished off with an incredibly generous cheese board. Washed down with good, sensibly priced wine. Great service. Looking forward to our next visit.
Great early evening supper at Cote Cardiff Bay. Starters crisp Calamari and piping hot French onion soup, we both then had chicken with mash and green beans followed by shared cheese and tarte fine aux pommes. Wines to match. All delicious and sensibly priced. Attentive unrushed service. Excellent social distancing.
Continues to be our favourite restaurant. Delightful staff and lovely food.
Despite being committed carnivores my wife and I went for fish last night - salmon and sea bass, both delicious and washed down with a v pleasant Sauvignon Blanc. Got dinner off to nice start sharing a fougasse (artesan bread). Pleasant, unrushed service. A pleasant evening as always.
Another great post performance supper at Cote Cardiff Bay. We were keen to go to savour 2 new dishes on the menu - cassoulet de Toulouse and slow cooked beef Bourgignon. Both delicious washed down with Treviac, our favourite red. Great service and buzzy as ever. Our go to restaurant in Cardiff Bay.
Another great post performance supper at Cote. Restaurant buzzing - even rubbed shoulders with a couple of celebrities! But the food and wine are the stars. We went for the lamb chops and beef Bourgignon, both old favourites and well up to standard. Washed it down with Trevisc, a stunning red. A winning combination that we plan to repeat for future performances.
Love this restaurant we visit every tome for breakfast. Lovely team
Good value very tasty meal, sunshine helped too! Pleasant view
l have been a regular diner at le Cote for many years and always enjoy the experience, very rarely a problem occurs but you know it will be rectified immediately, so what's not to like.
Another cracking dinner at Cote. Took the manager’s recumnendation (chicken Breton) and wasn’t disappointed! Standards as high as ever - delicious food, tasty wine, friendly, unrushed service at sensible prices - what’s not to like!!
I would have been more than happy to give a review, however I am very disappointed because I booked a table for 4 people online which was confirmed with a reference number etc. and unfortunately when we arrived at Cardiff Bay you were CLOSED!! This was a post lockdown Birthday celebration..Please do not accept online reservations if you’re not open for business!Thankfully we found a perfect restaurant nearby that we’re able to accommodate us. I won’t be booking you again Cote.
A film at Everyman followed by supper at Cote next door has become our evening out of choice in Cardiff Bay. And with good reason. Cote never dissapoints - delicious food (lamb chops - manager recommendation - were to die for). Great wine selection. Sensibly priced. Unrushed service. Excellent social distancing. What’s not to like?
Wonderful to be back at Cote after being away for what has seemed like an age. Standards same as ever - great food in generous portions, sensibly priced wine, unrushed service and good value. Can’t wait for our next visit!
excellent experience as always. love it here each and every time
Confirmation email however on arrival it was not open. Ended up at another resteraunt and seemed that we were not the first disappointed Cote customers!!! Arranged a weekend away with my wife for first time in 6 months due to covid and this spoiled the weekend.
Our waitress was friendly and helpful, even though my husband forgot his face mask. The food was lovely and I enjoyed the complimentary fig cocktail. Would come again.
great meal and service. lovely waiter. was their last night before the Wales 2 week firebreak.....felt very sad for them and for the hospital sector in general.
We had a lovely time, food very good. We are just so sorry that you will have to close due to the Welsh Government’s Lockdown decision. Tables were well spaced out, COVID rules were being followed and staff were friendly and made this a good experience for us. Thank you.
It's always a treat to dine out here, just getting a meal in before the 2 week lockdown.
Lovely place, great food and a lovely atmosphere and great staff
Cote never disappoints. We had a superb lunch - I claimed my complimentary cocktail followed with pork tenderloin and crepe Grand Marnier. Simply delicious, well cooked and presented. My husband enjoyed his cocktail too and had his steak frites and creme caramel. Perfect as usual. Staff and management, social distancing and ambience is as expected of Cote. We will try Cote at home when we go into lockdown. But we will be back as soon as we are allowed back. Fingers crossed.
.Delicious food excellent service. Relaxed & very enjoyable lunch.
