Côte Cardiff Bay

Service was much slower on this occasion and everything felt a bit rushed. The waiter was very attentive though and extremely helpful. Our main criticism would be the service charge applied to the bill with no option or question if we would like to reduced or remove it!

A lovely meal making our anniversary a very special occasion. We keep returning because of the wide-ranging and authentically French menu and the delightful service.

Lovely food, not too hay with where we were seated as there was a lot of foot traffic around us and we were right by the bar so waiting staff were around us a lot of the time. Had we been seated in a quieter sot then I would have given a 6 as a rate.

Always welcoming and friendly staff. Food is consistently good with a variety of dishes. Nice atmosphere and great location. Family friendly. It's a place we visit regularly.

Fabulous food and service as always! Had my usual crepe complete - probably the best one yet! Situated right on Cardiff Bay - nice spot to sit outside on a sunny day!

Food great and delivered quick as requested due to just having one hour as we were going to the theatre,the staff were very pleasant and helpful ,my only criticism is that they added to the bill 12.5% optional gratuity we did give it and more but it's a bit cheeky most people give what they feel without putting them under pressure and asking for it. This was my only gripe with this restaurant

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. There is not much else to say, 25 words minimum is excessive unless you want to make a complaint

As usual the staff were friendly and efficient, the food was excellent, faultless! The breakfast menu is varied and caters for a wide range wide range of tastes.

6 of my family enjoyed a delicious Saturday evening dinner at cote brasserie in Cardiff bay. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the service was great

Whole experience was excellent from booking the table, being received at the restaurant, the attention of the waiting staff and the food was absolutely delicious. Tarte Citron to die for...and then we saw "The Commitments - the Musical" . Brilliant evening

We took advantage of the early evening pre theatre menu, excellent value, food great as always and service brilliant. very impressed with friendly staff will be regular visitors.

Lovely meal on the 12/4/17. Booked for 5.15pm so was lucky enough to catch early menu. Food was delicious and service was great. My tip would be to definitely book saw many disappointed customers being turned away as the place was so busy. Will definitely visit again.

Very good food, lovely wine and excellent service! My first visit to this particular restaurant in the Cōte chain but certainly not the last. Try it for yourself!

Went in group of 6 for pre theatre menu. Excellent buzz in restaurant. Good value menu with reasonable standard of food for price. Service friendly and quick. Everyone enjoyed. Will return.

Very good meal. Waiters very attentive. Would recommend for any special occasion. Wine list very good but was overpriced, despite this it was a very enjoyable meal.

Another great meal at Cote Cardiff. Well served and great service. The ideal place to eat before the theatre. Excellent choice on pre theatre menu. Good staff who make certain you enjoy the experience. Great start to an evening out.

Starters were very tasty and good quality, however my main course of chicken was overcooked and very dry and the minute amount of sauce didn't help. My husbands main again too many puy lentils, with far too little sauce. The haddock itself was fine. We did wait some time for our starters to arrive, the main course arrived in good time. The waitress was very pleasant.

The food and service was great but the noise level that night was exceptionally loud which made conversation difficult. Lovely waitress but 12.5 % gratuity automatically added is high.

Our usual experience of superb food and very friendly and efficient service. We are regular visitors to both the Bay and Cardiff Central and have never been disappointed.

Consistently good chain restaurant. Steak frites well cooked and value for money. French onion soup was gods and calamari. Been to Cote in a few cities and always a good choice

Very disappointed with standard of food compared to previous visit. Scallops starter and Tuna main were overcooked!! Maybe the chef was having a bad day!! Service was very good though.

Staff very friendly and polite. Food was really very good, wine excellent but a little expensive. Atmosphere was what I'd describe as buzzing. A very enjoyable evening.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food and friendly staff. Would highly recommend the steak tartar. It's the best I've eaten. The food is delicious. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Think the service charge is a bit steep but it is optional.

In a word - Superb. This has become one of my favourite places to eat. The staff really attentive and highly efficient and never had any issues with the food. Can't wait to go again.

We didn't realise it at the time but we had asked fro the Breton Chicken - the bill simply said 'Half chicken' which was an alternative we had not wanted. Otherwise - perfect.

We had Amazing food as always! Especially the calamari and the half chicken.Great service as well. We will be back soon for my birthday this time!

Delicious French fare, which was well presented and the set menu is excellent value for money. The service was very attentive. Booked to come again whilst sat in the restaurant as was experiencing food envy! Two courses pre-theatre was served within an hour and didn't feel rushed!

We booked for a group of six ladies as a pre-theatre meal. This is a regular event and we always use this restaurant for a consistently quality meal which is always value for money. Service is always excellent.

The food and service was immaculate as ever. My wife particularly like the swordfish and ratatouille special. I had steak frites with peppercorn sauce, wonderful.

Extremely pleasant service, relaxed ambience. Food was good and very good value (we had the midweek set lunch menu - can't fault it for value). It was my father's 86th birthday and he was delighted to be given a free glass of something sparkly! A lovely touch.

French styled chain brasserie situated in a lovely part of Cardiff Bay near the Oval Basin. We've eaten here many times and the food is always good and staff friendly.

The Food was excellent, the service was excellent but the restaurant was very noisy which spoilt whole experience - probably due to all the surfaces being hard

As always the meal was superb. Just the right amount for an early pre theatre dining experience. My criticism was that we allowed sufficient time for dessert and coffee, but due to the number of other diners the staff could not accommodate us on this particular occasion. That said, I will be returning again as this has not happened before.

You know what you are getting at Cote, reasonable quality, reasonable prices and efficient service. (Food a bit too salty) although why you need 25 words to say this is beyond me. Enjoyed the meal though!

Despite busy Saturday was great prompt service , good food, it was a birthday and the staff very helpful & attentive, even singing happy birthday

Excellent food, superb service - prompt, friendly, understated, very professional. Lovely dining atmosphere. Surprisingly good value for money. A lovely choice for our wedding anniversary.
