Service was much slower on this occasion and everything felt a bit rushed. The waiter was very attentive though and extremely helpful. Our main criticism would be the service charge applied to the bill with no option or question if we would like to reduced or remove it!

Food and service were excellent. Lacks the uniqueness of an independent restaurant but it felt French anyway. I even spoke French to the waiter without thinking.

Excellent service. Great choice of well cooked Food. Why bother going elsewhere when you can have all this at an attractive location on Cardiff Bay.

Cote is, simply, reliable. Food is always prepared to a consistent and high standard. Staff are well trained, striking the right note between friendly and professional. Customers are only bothered and interrupted once when in the middle of their third mouthful of the main course by being asked "Is everything all right?" (a pet hate of mine - if we're munching contentedly OF COURSE everything is all right - otherwise we would be turning red in the face, frowning, turning over bits of the food on the plate and inspecting it with a look that says "unimpressed" and generally looking grumpy - and if everything is all right we do NOT want to be interrupted.... Grrr). But as this affliction is obvioulsy one of the ten commandments in the world's standard reference manual on "how to train a table server", Cote still gets a thumbs up, as at least their staff do it relatively unobtrusively. But for all of this, they still get one demerit point and I score 5 instead of 6. Tales are big enough to avoid feeling cramped and, finally, the bill is reasonable for good food cooked fresh (budget £40 a head including drinks for three courses). In the last year I have visited Cote at Covent Garden, Windsor, Bristol and Cardiff Bay and have enjoyed all four visits. Keep it up!

A lovely meal making our anniversary a very special occasion. We keep returning because of the wide-ranging and authentically French menu and the delightful service.

Lovely food, not too hay with where we were seated as there was a lot of foot traffic around us and we were right by the bar so waiting staff were around us a lot of the time. Had we been seated in a quieter sot then I would have given a 6 as a rate.

Always welcoming and friendly staff. Food is consistently good with a variety of dishes. Nice atmosphere and great location. Family friendly. It's a place we visit regularly.

Fabulous food and service as always! Had my usual crepe complete - probably the best one yet! Situated right on Cardiff Bay - nice spot to sit outside on a sunny day!

Very good indeed only one error which was corrected - we were presented with a bill that charged us for our free Kir Royales. Quickly rectified once they had noticed the error - we didn't have to point it out to them.

Food great and delivered quick as requested due to just having one hour as we were going to the theatre,the staff were very pleasant and helpful ,my only criticism is that they added to the bill 12.5% optional gratuity we did give it and more but it's a bit cheeky most people give what they feel without putting them under pressure and asking for it. This was my only gripe with this restaurant

Good food and wine. Pleasant dining experience with attentive staff. Ideal location for the theatre. Would highly recommend however booking in advance is required as tends to be very busy prior to major performances.

As usual the staff were friendly and efficient, the food was excellent, faultless! The breakfast menu is varied and caters for a wide range wide range of tastes.

We took advantage of the early evening pre theatre menu, excellent value, food great as always and service brilliant. very impressed with friendly staff will be regular visitors.

Lovely meal on the 12/4/17. Booked for 5.15pm so was lucky enough to catch early menu. Food was delicious and service was great. My tip would be to definitely book saw many disappointed customers being turned away as the place was so busy. Will definitely visit again.

We booked for a group of six ladies as a pre-theatre meal. This is a regular event and we always use this restaurant for a consistently quality meal which is always value for money. Service is always excellent.

Consistently good chain restaurant. Steak frites well cooked and value for money. French onion soup was gods and calamari. Been to Cote in a few cities and always a good choice

Very disappointed with standard of food compared to previous visit. Scallops starter and Tuna main were overcooked!! Maybe the chef was having a bad day!! Service was very good though.

Delicious French fare, which was well presented and the set menu is excellent value for money. The service was very attentive. Booked to come again whilst sat in the restaurant as was experiencing food envy! Two courses pre-theatre was served within an hour and didn't feel rushed!

We didn't realise it at the time but we had asked fro the Breton Chicken - the bill simply said 'Half chicken' which was an alternative we had not wanted. Otherwise - perfect.

As always the meal was superb. Just the right amount for an early pre theatre dining experience. My criticism was that we allowed sufficient time for dessert and coffee, but due to the number of other diners the staff could not accommodate us on this particular occasion. That said, I will be returning again as this has not happened before.

French styled chain brasserie situated in a lovely part of Cardiff Bay near the Oval Basin. We've eaten here many times and the food is always good and staff friendly.
