TThe next (outdoor) table was provided with an ashtray and cigarette smoke was blown over us whilst eating.Disgusting. The smoking party appeared to be drinking only, not buying food .
Lovely evening as always. Delicious pepper steak. Reasonably priced Merlot. Shared tarte fine aux pommes and ice cream perfect conclusion. Service friendly and attentive. Cote rules!
Excellent service and food quality on a very busy Father's day. Always enjoyed eating here, and today was one of the best visits we have made. Recommended to all.
good food good service there was a mistake but rectified quickly, good atmosphere plenty of attention. Good vale if you have the £9.95 formule deal but gets expensive if you add more drinks
We have eaten in lots of Cote Brasseries and have never been disappointed. The staff were very efficient and the food was lovely. Wine also good and not too expensive.
We chose the fixed price menu and enjoyed good food and good service. The meal was good value for money and an excellent place to eat before going to WMC.
Great food and quick service. Really good two course pre-theatre menu, all dishes we tried were really tasty and lobely bottle of house red too.
Great experience. Good range of food and all meals were top rate. Great staff and a lovely setting. Special's were a also a good choice. Would recommend a visit.
Lovely meal, staff were very friendly and attentive. We sat outside and had a pleasant evening. Have visited the restaurant in Cardiff city centre too and always had a good meal.
Meals were lovely but poached eggs could have been cooked a little more, the whites of my daughter's poached eggs were a little underdone. Otherwise great brunch.
Excellent food great service friendly staff.Would recommend to friends. Also looking forward to a return visit to this restaurant soon.Boojed a table a few hours before eating.
Very good for pre-opera meal. Friendly staff and efficient service. Food of a good standard for a 'chain'. Specials seem good value but we usually choose from the 'a la carte'.
We had booked but were delayed because of traffic. Staff were very helpful when we phoned to tell them . There was no problem in getting booking amended. Staff always very helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed food. The restaurant was quite noisy, acoustics a bit loud intensified by activities outside in the piazza.
The excellence of this restaurant continues. Food, service and atmosphere provide a most enjoyable experience each time we visit. It is certainly our preferred 'pre-opera' eatery!
unfortunately, we didn't get to dine at Cote. There had been an incident and the Gas was switched off. The staff were however, very helpful and accommodating and offered us a taxi to the nearest Cote which is in the City centre. We declined this, as had already parked up.
Lunch for four very comfortable in the restaurant. Good food nicely served and enjoyable wine reasonably priced. One dish of haddock came over cooked and was immediately replaced with a correctly cooked dish without the slightest fuss. All in all very good
We had an issue that they forgot one of our meals, the staff took back all our meals until they completed the order. They were very apologetic and gave us a refund , the food was very good.
Lovely food, but had to catch attention of the staff in order to have plates cleared and receive bill etc. Also a good atmosphere and a lot of choice of food.
Stop harassing me with your emails. Stop harassing me with your daily emails. Stop harassing me with your emails. Stop harassing me with your emails. I shall never eat at Côte again because of this harassment.
A little loud inside but good food. Could do with hiring more waiting staff but that is common across all restaurants these days. They do steak tartare which I somewhat uncommon.
Early evening was such a good deal and the food was just the perfect amount! Amazing, have been attending for years and will continue to do so.
As a family we all thoroughly enjoy visiting Cotes in Cardiff Bay. The food is always delicious and the service impeccable and friendly. They have been helpful over our particular needs.
Great staff and good food always feels very homely too. It is always my go too place when I walk to the quay in the summer or winter they cater for all seasons with their varied menu.
Always enjoy this restaurant for pre theatre meal. As usual our waitress was friendly and looked after us very well. One slight niggle, bit disappointed with the non response from the tall man/manager who when clearing our dessert plates, I commented that it could may do with more crumble on the so called peach crumble!
6 of us went to celebrate my birthday. I had the black pudding starter followed by the steak. The food and the service was excellent!
Have been here many times and it always exceeds expectations. Though very busy, service was prompt and attentive. Food marvellous, especially liking the new Summer menu.
We have always had a fab time at Cote. The food is always great and the staff are always excellent. It's also a lovely location
Cote never disappoints, the quality of the food is excellent and the staff are always friendly. Had the tuna nicoise which was delicious and good value for money.
As always at either the Bay or city centre Cote, this was lovely from start to finish: excellent service throughout (even holding the door open on the way in and out), a very pleasant table and delicious, plentiful food (fish parmentier and haddock in bacon).
Very good food served by attentive, friendly staff in a pleasant restaurant at Mermaid Quay, Cardiff Bay - a most enjoyable dining experience. Would definitely use Cote Brasserie again.
Arrived hour late for Opera House because of traffic, but staff still managed to fit in one delicious course with speed and good humour. Top marks!
Great food and great service. We are regular users of this restaurant and we would always recommend others to use the restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful and provide good service.
Everything about our visit was great. The welcome, the food and the service. We have been to other Cote Brassieres and have enjoyed the same experience but this was the first time our friends. They too were delighted with everything. We'll be back!
Great staff, excellent choice of food & wine. Sadly let down by poor quality cooking of vegetables. The manager very apologetic & did not charge us but such a shame that chef couldn't get it right with French beans or spinach. Will go back because I enjoy Cote & quality usually v reliable.
great service and great food as usual. The staff were very attentive and the food was of the usual high standard like The Terminator we'll back back
beautiful restaurant, nice atmosphere, nice food with speedy serving, also had a great selection of choice. The staff was polite and friendly, very pleased :)
Excellent service despite the restaurant being full. Food choices were good. Only downside was that some of the asparagus was a bit woody. Veal escalopes were excellent.
The food was very tasty(porkbelly). One of the potato dishes was slightly burnt. The service was of a high quality. The gents cubicle was out of action again-the third consecutive time this has occurred.
Mostly very good but spoiled by 3 food issuess., Service & staff were very good. Desserts were great. Food issues were firstly 2 of the 3 special main courses had run out. We dined quite late but there were a considerable number of other diners arriving after us. I wanted salmon which is easily obtained & felt more should have been in stock. 2nd issue was toasted sour dough with starter of goats cheese & tomatoes was overcooked & so hard it was difficult to eat. 3rd issue was the leeks were so tough & stringy they were inedible in the otherwise excellent fish pie. I was given some spinach to compensate but as you can imagine it spoiled the dish having to pick out all the leeks. I found this strange as leeks are very soft easy to cook vegetables & I've never experienced such a problem before.
We took advantage of their offer of a glass of kir royale each to celebrate Cote's anniversary in the Bay. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent. We are always impressed by their choice of menu.
The lunch was nice and good value for money. We would like to come back. The waiter's manners was courteous and friendly. Portion is reasonable.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely be visiting again. Everyone in my party enjoyed the varied menu and my chocolate fondant and vanilla ice cream was very good.
Excellent food and wine, level of attention and service just right. 1 vegetarian in party good choice once realised there was a seperate vegetarian menu. We had a great evening.
The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and efficient. We were warned that there would be a delay in receiving our main course as the restaurant was so busy but our meals were brought to us well within the time stated. A very good experience.
Had a wonderful time at cotes brasserie celebrating my birthday. Very attentive and friendly staff and my favourite veal escalope was delicious. We had the house white which was very nice indeed. Can't wait to visit again
Love the place & the food - have been coming for a few years. The staff is always pleasant. Felt this time that we were all seated too close together when there was plenty of room in the restaurant.
Another great visit with the usual fare excellently cooked. Specials also avsilable. Great service as usual and a relaxed informal dining experience. Great views over Roald Dahl plas...
Very polite staff and lively window seat. We had the early bird menu which was very good value, and very nice. We enjoyed the "buzz" of being in Cardiff Bay on a sunny evening.
Great place for breakfast -served until 1.00 at weekends! The team here are always helpful and friendly. Good choice of food. Coffee is good as well.
very nice late lunch, bottle of red, rib eye steak, bread olives to start pancakes with strawberries & Chantilly cream to finish. All excellent. Well worth a mention---- very pleasant ,efficient staff, the waiter, a young man from Poland exceptional, smiling face, helpful but not intrusive very professional service . looking forward to return visit. 10/10
