Côte Cardiff Bay

Great team again and love the atmosphere :) The food was nice, the gratin of my partner was little dry/hard to eat but they straight away corrected it so it was great. The complimentary bottle was on the bill but they waved it as well once mentioned. Always great time there, nothing is too much for them and we really do like the team and manager is always there to greet is and check that we are having a good time. We come back for the team, even if the other Cote brasserie in town is closer we prefer to go to the bay as welcomed always nicely.

I booked a table for two but we gained a third person, the front of house was really helpful and gave us a great table. The service was excellent, food was good except the chocolate pot wasn't set and was very granular.

The food was great especially the calamari starter. Couldn't believe how quickly we were served and had our starters and mains on the table in no time.

Very good food. Service was good. Lacking in a selection of spirits/port/sherry. Not happy with the 12.5% tip automatically added to the bill. Would go again

Good service and great food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was one elderly member of our group in a wheel chair and there was easy access and he was well catered for.

A warm welcome, a choise of tables was offered, and we had a very nice table. We had prompt service for drinks, and once served we ordered our food. The food was excellent and we left very satisfied and happy. We will certainly be returning.

Arrived at 5pm. Waited 45 minutes between starter and main course despite complaining after half an hour. No time for dessert as opera started at 7pm! Food OK when it arrived.

As always the welcome and service were excellent and the meal was tasty and served promptly a really good pre theatre meal. The manager runs a very good restaurant

Love this restaurant, the food and service are always excellent. The menu changes to reflect the time of year and often the specials are worth visiting for alone.

I enjoyed my starter and sweet, but I was disappointed with the main course, I don’t like black pepper and it was absolutely covered in it, the waiter did ask if I would like something else but as my friends were half way through there food I declined the offer, the food didn’t go,to,waste as my friends ate it! I find a lot of restaurants put too much pepper in the food. The waiting staff were very friendly and pleasant.

Even though Cote Cardiff Bay was very busy, everyone was very friendly, efficient and the food was nice too - just what we wanted for a pre-theatre supper.

The staff were amazing and the food was incredible! It was my birthday so we had complimentary Kir Royale cocktails on arrival which made it extra special.

Very helpful and polite staff but some delays from the kitchen in very busy periods. Wine lists should denote vintages eg. a previous bordeaux favorite (No 27) from 2015, is now replaced by the 2016 vintage which is very tannic and undeveloped.

Delicious food, good value but restaurant very busy so we waited some time for our main course. Staff friendly and efficient. Would definitely eat there again.

Staff attentive and friendly as ever. Ambience and atmosphere elegant but not overdone. Creme caramel outstanding. Would have preferred dauphin potatoes firmer, but overall another good meal at Cote!

Good brasserie food at a very reasonable price. Lively atmosphere. Why is it that it's always difficult to catch a waiter's eye to pay the bill?

Food was absolutely gorgeous. Excellent service from all. Wonderful ambient surroundings. Will definitely try our local Cote now! It has a lot to live up to!

Excellent in all respects. The tables are set comfortably apart and not intrusive. The food is the usual high standard one expects. The staff were particularly attentive even although it was busy. Certainly the best of the chain I have used.

Great food and really excellent service all at a reasonable price. Disappointed that the early evening fixed price menu is not available at weekends. Great restaurant

excellent restaurant. We always know we will get a good, French bistro supper at Cote. We know the chain very well and also its menu. It means that variety provided by the daily specials but then we can always get our favourites and they are identically served and cooked whether one is in London, Cardiff or Oxford etc....

Excellent food and service. Most enjoyable and relaxing evening. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very fine dining, thank you very much.

We went to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and she was given a kir.Our meals were excellent and service was very good.There were one or two hiccups but it did nothing to spoil our enjoyment and in fact were given a discount on our meal and a bottle of wine to take home.We will definitely visit again.

Wonderful menu, - execution perfect ,reasonably priced & good service as always.. Whemever I take friends to Cote they are also impressed .It is my favourite go to restaurant in Cardiff Bay.

gUY SHOWING US TO TABLE, gave us menu , no other info, then when waiter arrived to take order both my wifw and I dishes were not available !!!

Although the weather was bad it didn't dampen our experience. We ate on a Saturday evening and although peak time it wasn't overcrowded. Great food, great setting and great service would highly recommend.

Great staff, food was lovely, wine a little expensive, was expecting set anniversary menu but that finished 3 days ago, but was still on the website.

Lovely meal as always and friendly staff. Would be nice if they gave you a choice of bread or biscuits with the cheese as already had bread that came with the mains.

It was nearly all up to Cote's usual excellence. My Steak Frites, said to be pink in the menu, really was - just a bit more so than they used to be. An option to go 'medium' would be good.

Great value food and wine as always...I'd requested a particular table and was initially shown to the wrong one but this was quickly sorted out when I pointed out the table I'd requested was empty! Staff seemed especially busy on this occasion so some of the usual friendlier approach was lacking but the restaurant was pretty full. Still a good dining experience though.

Lovely post opera supper. Delicious lamb shank with mashed potatoes and minted peas. Nice bottle Merlot. Shared tasty apple tart with ice cream. Dishes nicely presented. Friendly unrushed service. Good value for money. Parisian flair. What's not to like?!

Always a good experience - my plaice was delicious and the Lagarde red wine was excellent. Not very impressed with the peach crumble (I should have stuck to my usual crème brulee/caramel). Very quick and pleasant service. I will keep on coming back.

Cote in Cardiff Bay, has a good location and is light and airy, the staff were friendly and helpful, the meals were to the usual high standard and were delivered in good time. Will definitely visit.

Very happy pre-theatre supper. Friendly, efficient service; food well cooked and served with a smile. Will make this our regular venue, abandoning Ffresh in the Millennium Centre which is increasingly eccentric and unreliable.

You know from the moment you enter you will be looked after with service and quality food.This mornings visit was "business as usual" excellent....This was our first breakfast visit and it won't be the last. The French toast with fresh fruit, the full breakfast, the grilled bacon baguette and the vegetarian sausage baguette all delicious .This proves you can have quality at a sensible price....why go anywhere else???

Always excellent. Food simple but good quality and reliably good cooking. Service always good. Always get us out in time for our show in WMC.

Great service and superb food, it was my wife's birthday and the staff went out of their way to make it special. She had the Breton Fish Stew which she said seemed to be even better than she had previously.

Never been let down by this restaurant (Cardiff Bay) but I have eaten in several others such as Birmingham (Mail Box) with the same results. I usually have steak and it has been very good indeed.

Very busy restaurant, but excellent welcome and service. The food was as good as ever. If in a hurry you don not have to wait long for your food to arrive, but equally you feel no sense of being rushed if out for a leisurely meal.

The food and service here are fabulous. Just like being in France. Excellent quality produce used and cooked to perfection. The service also was faultless. Parfait!

nice meal with friendly service.Very convenient indeed for the Millennium Center and probably now the best place to eat before performances as very slick service.

We had the anniversary menu with champagne and both really enjoyed our three courses. The service is always good and no doubt we will be back.

Friendly staff and lovely location. Food consistently good. Lovely bread basket. Good choice of drinks and nice atmosphere. Glad we booked as it was quite busy as it was a very pleasant summer's day.

The food was really nice albeit a couple of items weren't currently available from the menu, but there was thankfully plenty to choose from. The service we experienced seemed a little relaxed and hit and miss, I think we must I had 4-5 waiters/waitresses throughout the evening making the experience seem some what slack.

Our set menu was excellent value for money it was well presented and tasty the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely go again.

We had a really nice meal at this Cote. The manager was very friendly and gave us a nice table in the window. The service was good and the food was lovely. One of the best Cotes we have been to.

Excellent food with a great atmosphere, surrounded by the stunning views of Cardiff Bay. With a fairly busy restaurant you're not kept waiting long for your food.
