We love the atmosphere here. The food is consistently good quality, but don't like the addition of 12.5 % service charge....always annoys. The service we get is great but don't anticipate tip.......we will decide how much...it's not the US
Beautiful location. Food presentation and quality was not as expected. Portions are small and not interesting. Stake was overcooked and tough like leather. Very disappointing.
We had a really relaxed brunch and the food was very good and the service was excellamt. The atmosphere was good and it was a really enjoyable experience
Charming and helpful staff as ever on a very busy early evening, full of theatre goers. Service was quick and our choices of menu was very tasty.
Good food and efficient service despite the restaurant being full. Had the early bird deal and thought it was good value for money. Good atmosphere in both the restaurant and Bay Area in general
Glad we booked our pre theatre table. We have eaten at the Cote Brasserie in central Cardiff too and both establishments are excellent, provide delicious food. Service is first class too. We will be going to Cardiff later this month and are planning to visit the Cote again. Thankyou!
Excellent food, very friendly staff and excellent service. We had booked a table for 8.00pm but arrived in Cardiff earlier that expected. We popped into Cote restaurant to ask if we could dine a little earlier. This was no problem and we had a really lovely evening. Highly recommended
Considering that the post and pre theatre goers filled the restaurant to capacity, the food and service could not be faulted. the menu was varied, good choices for all. Just one little thing, if there are no vegetables served with a main course, this being French style, it would be rather nice to ask the client if they would like chips etc....maybe.
Another very enjoyable dinner at Cote. The food was great and the service was very good and very friendly. We particularly enjoyed the pissaladiere, crab mayonnaise, cote de boeuf. We also got a free bottle of wine too which is always a good thing.
Staff were very attentive and the whole restaurant is geared up for pre theatre, food well presented clean cutlery and napkins for each course, lovely!
On a very very busy evening before a Concert in the Bay. The staff took great care with my request for food without garlic. The food was delicious as always. A bit too noisy for conversation due to full restaurant.
Prompt courteous service. Excellent presentation and quality of food . Pre- theatre dining and menu . Very good value . Will visit again and recommend
The meal was enjoyable as always, although the duck breast was unusually tough. Generally it was good value for money. Keen service and nice lively atmosphere.
Good choice of food pre- theatre and excellent, friendly efficient service. Nice atmosphere and good selection of drinks. Reasonable prices for good and drink. I recommend.
Loved the atmosphere and service and value for money which were all great. As was Emma our server. Coq o van though was very poor
Very good meal - as always. One of the good things about Cote is their consistency. Only thing this evening the tarte au citron was disappointing - soft pastry & not much lemon taste.
We thought the menu provided excellent value with all three of us enjoying our different starters and main meals. The free filter water was a bonus and the atmosphere was great.
I had a very good meal at cote down the bay resturant. The staff were excellent and food was outstanding. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal.
Pre theatre dinner in Cardiff. Staff ensured there were no delays and had us vomfirtanly through in time gor the pergormance Gluten free meal requirements were very good
Ate here twice in a short break in Cardiff Bay. Lunch was as always very good value. For dinner we all started with the chicken liver pate which again was good as always. Between us we enjoyed a very large serving of calamari, duck and fish. My husband could not resist the chocolate mousse and greatly enjoyed it. Very attentive staff and atwo very pleasant experiences.
Excellent food and service at the Côte Brasserie. The pre theatre menu had a great choice and great value. Couldn’t fault it. Look forward to return visit.
Lovely restaurant on Cardiff Bay . Went here with a group of friends . Everyone enjoyed there meals. Service was excellent. I had the beef bouiginon it was delicious.
Excellent value. V. Good food and service. Losdcation handy for conference and glad we pre booked as place was full yet did not feel rushed.
Shown to our table and our order for drinks was taken almost straight away. Chose the pre theatre menu which at £13.50 for 3 courses was excellent value. All our food was delicious and good sized potions. Staff very attentive. Venue lovely inside and background music wasn't too loud so we were able to have a decent conversation. All in all an excellent experience.
Good location for Bay & Theatre. Staff were excellent - warm welcome maintained throughout. Food very good and served at just the right times. Would go again.
Excellent service. The staff were very efficient and friendly, everything was spot on. We are looking forward to returning. First class dining experience in great surroundings.
No soup spoon for the soup! £20+ service charge which is non-discretionary. Food was warm but not hot. Green salad was very limited and comprised some very 'tired' brown leaves.
All of the food courses were super tasty and I would recommend the restaurant for anyone. The service was also fantastic. Our group had an excellent time.
We chose food from the fixed price lunch menu. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Only reason I didn’t give them a 6 was because one of the soup dishes was barely warm (all the others were piping hot). The waiter was very apologetic and replaced the soup very quickly. Service was excellent.
Food good but not hitting the normal heights. Service impeccable. Theses words are just to fulfill the demands of the system. ya ya ya ya
Excellent food and service. Tuna nicoise and duck were followed by a superb cheese board. The staff are very friendly and efficient. We will return.
My party enjoyed our meal but soup without a bread roll is unusual in a quality restaurant, the service was adequate but the 12.5% service charge while optional is too much to expect diners to pay or refuse to pay. 10% would be more than enough. However we will return.
As ever, their attention to detail is excellent, the staff are really friendly and attentive, and I would recommend Cote to anyone looking for a good meal and great service.
Disappointed with the table set for 5 rather than 6 as booked and didnt feel they rectified their mistakes quickly enough, had to ask for an extra seat and setting 3times. very good food.
My family and I really enjoyed our visit to The Cote Brasserie today. The food was delicious and the service was efficient, polite and friendly.
it was fabulous evening, really great atmosphere, staff very friendly.
Atmosphere and food both good. Would have expected to be served bread with our soup and moules starters. Service good and friendly greeting and departure.
Excellent food as always. Friendly and professional service. What more is there to say? We go back time and time again and are never disappointed!
Lovely experience in Cote last night. Very attentive service. Enjoyed both dishes I had. Salmon was really well cooked. Wine was very good value. And not too expensive!
As usual, excellent customer service, warm welcome and great food. We always enjoy visiting Cote and find the quality is always consistent where ever we visit.
The 3 of us enjoyed Cote very much. Service very efficient and friendly, easy. We all ate different dishes and all enjoyed unanimous. Simple and very well done. I am a keen cook and rarely eat burgers but chose the cote burger for some reason. Will be back for another at some point, all best paul
We have visited this restaurant many times and have always found the food and service of good quality. There was a slight problem on the 16th October where one item appeared to have been reheated not served fresh. The manager took this complaint seriously , apologised and compensated accordingly. I am sure this was only a temporary blip. As I said this is the only time we've had a complaint after numerous visits.
Excellent food off the early evening set menu. Very quick service off which allowed us to get to theatre on time. Lovely glass of wine & a coffee too.
As always, we had a very pleasant lunch last Sunday. A wide-ranging menu, with plenty of choice, and all authentic French dishes. We shall return often.
Although Optional, the excessive 12.5% gratuity charge is off putting. You have to make a slightly embarrassing request to have it removed from the bill. Apart from that, the food and service is very good. I highly recommend it to anybody flush with cash and looking for a very good restaurant.
I really love Côte and is always my first choice for a meal without the kids (just so I can fully relax and savour it properly). The food is always excellent, and the service attentive and considerate. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Lovely brunch with surprisingly nice French bubbly. Wonderful service, nice atmosphere, very clean with nice decor. Great location in Cardiff Bay. Would definitely go back.
This is a lovely restaurant. Great location. Well placed if visiting the Millenium Centre. Food fabulous. Wonderful vegetarian options which makes a nice change. Delightful staff.
The rib eye steak was very poor quality. There was no eye to the meat and it was ordered medium rare and was medium well . This is the first bad meal at cote.
Excellent service great atmosphere and good food. Will definitely visit Cote again. A varied menu which suited our party of 7. Everyone chose a different main course and no complaints from anyone.
