To celebrate my wife's 60th Birthday, we decided to book a table at Cote, Cardiff Bay. She had mixed olives and bread, then prawn gratine, grilled salmon and finished with chocolate fondant all washed down with a kir royale to start and a glass of chemic merlot. The service was perfect and I love your filtered water!

We have visited cotes brasserie Multiple times and this was by far the worth experience we have had. The main problem was the chicken dish my partner order which was either gone off or not cooked properly as it made my partner sick while eating our dinner. I ordered a fish dish which was average at best. The staff were not very helpful even having to ask for a knife and fork to eat with and pouring our own wine. Overall the experience was not a good one and this will put us off going back.

We had a lovely time, the food was amazing, we had our one year old with us who is, quite frankly, a menace, and the staff were so kind and accommodating and never made us feel like anything was too much trouble. Also in this world of post covid, it was very clear hygiene and safety were a priority but it was done in a really unimposing way.

After being a bit apprehensive about venturing out to eat, discovering Cote at Mermaid Key was open made us venture out. Booking required, but meant table was ready. Cut down menu from normal but everything was cooked well, steak cooked as ordered. Served by Roxy and service was to the excellent standard we have come to expect from here. Staff all wearing visors and sanitising their hands constantly. We didn't use the toilets so cant comment on these. Tables well spread out. Great atmosphere - not too different from normal.

Excellent choice of gluten free options for coeliac. I had the belly pork and it was really tasty. Staff very helpful and friendly, and honoured a 'free cocktail' offer which had arrived just after I booked. All the staff seemed so happy to be be back working, but not knowing what the future holds...so sad.

Lovely food as always. Due to the reduced menu we had to create our own sharing charcuterie board but that was fun and subsequently we had a great starter. Will be back soon.

Very mediocre food, with service to match. What was really annoying was the fact that they added the tip to the bill, and you have to ask for it to be removed... overall very unhappy with service.

Delighted that our favourite Cote restaurant is open again. A little nervous since all 4 in our party are in the over-70 Covid risk group,but we need not have worried. Everything was very clean and very safe. A single menu now, but with ample choices. Served very professionally and with a smile - who could wan for more!

We had a lovely family meal last night and the food and wine were delicious. The seam bream I had was especially good. The service was great and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice. My only issue was the tomatoes I had as my ‘tomatoes Breton’ starter were not room temperature and a bit cold. However, overall another super time and we’ll be back again.

Lack of atmosphere , slow service. No coffee or tea available. Small ice cream portions , fatty chicken . Disappointing as we were regular fortnightly visitors . Will be trying somewhere else in vicinity as poor value for money , rarely deals .

The food was wonderful, and the ambience great. I did miss the wider menu, and I especially hope the french onion soup makes a return soon! I am also looking forward to the return of the Cote breakfast experience...

Cote is one of our most favourite restaurants. We visit once to twice a month. We have missed it during the lockdown. We are really pleased with the extended Children's menu to include Calamari & Steak. Our first visit since March did not disappoint.

Cardiff Bay restaurant only opened the day we went. Tables spaced out well. Staff all wearing visors and witnessed staff regularly using hand sanitizer. Food great as always. Good to be back.

Used to visiting before theatre when atmosphere is buzzing and all are happy. Yesterday was all about last day of eat out support! BIG complaint we were not told that there were no hot drinks available until I had ordered my double espresso. Very disappointing!

We were looking forward to today’s opening having been a regular since you opened. Unfortunately very disappointed with tonight’s meal The Prawn starter was only Luke warm, the main course of Lamb chops for both myself and my wife I had to send mine back because they were cold and the potatoes with it were also cold. My wife’s Lamb Chops were raw (a good Vet could have got it walking again) We felt after sending mine back we didn’t feel we could send hers back. The dessert and Wine were fine. This is the first time we have ever had to return meals In all the years we’ve been eating at your Cardiff / Bristol or Gloucester restaurants We will return though Many thanks Denis Farrell

We had a lovely meal prior to coming to the Welsh millennium centre to watch a show. Staff were friendly, accommodating and the food was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and buzz about the place.

I thought the meal was not up to the usual standard the service was good as usual but agin the meal was poor standard which was disappointing

As reliable as ever, good food, the usual modest Cote proportions (i.e. you have to pay extra if you want green veg) and pleasant ambience. A star lost for not putting out a clean knife for the main course. The one used for bread buttering was simply neatly removed from side plate to table for reuse. Whatever happened to etiquette?
