Delicious food. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The place is beautifully decorated and has a lively atmosphere. You just couldn’t ask for more.
An excellent lunch with friends, who were visiting for the first time and were very impressed. I am sure they will be visiting again soon.
Fantastic, fantastic, famtastic ... a the time, every time ... you kill it, service GREAT ... food GREAT ... you GREAT!! See you next Time x
The restaurant is in a brilliant setting and the menu food and staff were really lovely. I could not recommend this restaurant too highly. If you are going out to eat in Cardiff Bay this is the place to go.
Pleasant surroundings and an atmosphere that feels busy, but isn't too noisy that you can't hear those you are dining with. The food was well prepared and presented. Staff were knowledgable, helpful and attentive.
Realty enjoyed our food & drink. My only negative is the conversation noise, which needs something to absorb, as customers are just raising their voice to be heard
Overall happy but fish was overcooked. Service was very good. Table was positioned too near main door which kept banging on every person entering through it!
Easy online booking process efficient and simple. Friendly staff and a quick service pre theatre attendance. Good choice on the menu and a great ambience. 😀
had an awesome evening again great good great staff. fantastic experience
Excellent as always, time and time again this place never drops its standards
We were warmly welcomed. Really excellent food with a very nice Sauvignon Blanc. The friendly service and a great atmosphere made it a lovely evening. Would certainly recommend a visit.
Excellent friendly service and as usual very good value and tasty food. Wine choice particularly good. Menu choices very varied and interesting. Slice duck breast superb!
Another wonderful meal at our favourite restaurant in Cardiff. Service and food consistently good. No matter how busy this restaurant is the quality of service is always first class. Highly commended.
Lovely ambiance. Excellent service even though the place was buzzing. Staff always pleasant. Food good although our salted cod was too salty. Excellent location. Would recommend.
good atmosphere and helpful service with a good choice menu and generous portion size, nice place for a casual catch up or informal business lunch
Delicious meal - early bird set menu choice of mushroom soup and hake fillet. Very good service and attention. Just lost one point, as serving of french fries was a bit meagre for the price. Otherwise all good, as always at Cote.
Great staff, cheerful and friendly. We ordered, two crab starters two French onion soup, followed by two britoni chicken, one salmon and one pork belly, great flavours, brilliant value for money.
Really really excellent. Welcoming, friendly staff showing us to our table. Food was delicious and arrived promptly and was hot. The whole atmosphere was buzzing and exciting.
Fantastic food, lovely staff. Always good. A pleasure to eat there. This restaurant is so reliable. The staff are well trained and seem genuinely pleased to welcome us.
The food, choice of menu and service were all great. It is the best place to go before a show at the WMC. You also have managed to capture a French atmosphere. However the lack of soft furnishings make the restaurant when busy to be UNBEARABLY NOISY! Our guests felt the same and we won't be able to pay a return visit until this changes. I hope it does as we really like the food.
Another excellent post performance supper at Cote! Bread perfect as nibbles then utterly delicious pork with celeriac mash (October special) with a great full bodied red. Shared tarte fine aux pommes with vanilla ice cream great way to end. Our go to restaurant for post performance dining in Cardiff Bay.
Excellent food and service. Varied menu in a French style. Service always polite and efficient. Always used by us pre theatre or Glee club. I recommend.
Food and service was of the highest quality. A thoroughly enjoyable evening eating out on my wife's birthday and with friends from Canada. We will definitely dine here again
Nice staff food very well presented and nice and hot we will go again
Had an amazing evening as always at Cardiff bay cote. staff and food were great really liked the specials.
Always enjoyable. A very busy day, but the staff were as pleasant and efficient as always, and the food was up to its usual high standard.
Fabulous food, as always in Cote. Very busy in Cardiff Bay Cote, pre theatre late lunch, but still the staff were very calm and very polite.
A family Sunday lunch to celebrate one of our birthdays. Cotes in Cardiff Bay was ideal a fantastic lunch with a lovely atmosphere. The staff gave great service.
Great sourroundings, great food and great staff. The restaurant was extremely busy during our visit Sunday lunchtime, but the service and food was first class.
Very nice lunch with friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Great location and reasonably priced. Have eaten in various Cote restaurants and always consistent. Will visit again.
In spite of large crowds arriving at end of opera, service was as cordial and prompt as ever. And food at the usual high standard
An extremely busy place, especially before a WNO performance, but the service is always attentive and the quality of food entirely reliable. It’s always a pleasure to eat here. Something of an oasis in the culinary desert which is the waterfront surrounding the Millennium Centre.
good service..delicious food.. atmosphere as you want it....and the cost of it all reasonable.!! what is there not to like ! we have been regulars for years..may it continue
As always excellent service from staff that know the menu, genuinely take interest in your night and excellent food, need to sort out the draft for winter though
Lovely food and service as always. The restaurant was quite busy but we were served quite quickly. Lovely calamari, chicken and chocolate mousse. Will be back again.
Sadly we did not have the service we expected. We made it clear to our waiter that we needed to be in Cardiff centre for a concert at 8.00 pm. One of us had a starter and then there was a considerable wait for our mains. We were obliged to ask for our puds to go and the bill was not actioned promptly. A small reduction on the bill did not compensate for a lengthy wait for our mains and the rush that resulted.
Cote Cardiff Bay is geared to serve you a delicious good value for money meal and ensure you make your show at the Millennium Centre.
Great ambience and lunch was delicious, portions too big for any pud though! Lovely friendly service. Garlic bread lovely, and enjoyed the goats cheese salad. Appreciated that the tables are not squashed together and that there is no intrusive music. I was meeting up with a family member I hadn’t seen for years and it was perfect for a long chat . Would go again definitely.
The charming and attentive staff provided an excellent pre-theatre dinner. We arrived early when it was easy to provide a high level of service, which remained the same when the restaurant filled up.
Despite arriving late at 10.40pm after the Opera we were welcomed with charm and good humour and had an excellent meal as always. Our only comment would be that it would have been good to have a larger vegetarian selection (the were no vegetarian dishes on the specials menu).
Excellent. I was in a hurry and the staff advised me what was quick to cook and then served me very speedily so I was out for the performance.
We dined pre-performance so our time was a bit tight, however the service fitted around this well. Lovely food beautifully cooked and presented which we both enjoyed.
An enjoyable pre opera meal at Cardiff Bay Cote. The food was very good but what makes the place are the staff who are friendly and welcoming and just very good at helping to make it a bit more than a meal without being obtrusive. We've been eating there pre-opera for the last couple of seasons and they've maintained a high standard in food and service throughout.Would definitely recommend.
Another grear supper at Cote. Really delicious filet steak with a nice sauce, green beans, celeriac and fries. V reasonably priced compared to some specialist steak restaurants. Attentive friendly service. Our go to restaurant fir post performance dining.
Excellent food - choice, quality and quantity. Friendly efficient service. This place has a buzz and is obviously popular. One of our favourite eating places in Cardiff Bay.
had an amazing evening as always at Cardiff bay cote. staff and food was delightful
Food was good and service fine. Reasonably good value set menu. But I do not like the restaurant charging us (2 diners) 12.5% service charge automatically on the bill and not pointing it out. Why do we allow restaurants to do this? We gave cash to pay and were due change (even though we did pay the service charge) and the change was not brought back to us. We had to go and ask for it which is just unacceptable. It was almost like they are told to see if they can get away without bringing change back! I hardly ever complain about places but this just really annoyed us! As I say though the food was good. We would have paid a 10% tip anyway as we always do but having a 12.5% tip imposed is just wrong. I don't think the restaurant would get away with doing it in France, so why here!? It is unfortunate because it does put you off this restaurant a little even though I do in fact like going there.
had an amazing evening at Cote Cardiff bay again. excellent food and staff
Food was excellent, service was very slow. We asked for the bill and in the end gave up waiting and had to pay on the way out.
Always good and food fresh. Although a big group was in, plus was generally busy, so noise levels very high or could it be I’m just getting old & sounding like my mother?!
