Really busy, pre theatre meal. Had to wait quite awhile for main course. However, food was fabulous

Overpriced for the food & service provided. Was ok but feel better options are available in the area for fairer prices. Service seemed to be ‘on demand’ where I had to find waiting staff.

Excellent meal and great service, the team were attentive and quick to serve.

Booked online which worked well Gluten free friend with us loved their menu and was delighted to have so much choice - well done The rest of us also enjoyed all the food we ordered and the service was great friendly helpful staff Had a free bottle of wine but 2 of us needed to order off main menu to get the offer as a group of 6 this worked ok but probably not good value if it was 2 of us .

I have always come to Cote for pre theatre meals but was disappointed this time. I thought the service was very slow and the pork was undercooked and grisly. I had recommended it to my friend who said their chicken was very dry and they thought it was expensive for what they got and so would not return.

Always a great atmosphere and quality food very reasonably priced.

A lovely meal, made even special because my husband decided to try veal for the first time and when he didn’t like it the restaurant gave him a completely new meal. Massively impressed by the service..... definitely went above and beyond!!!!

The atmosphere was lovely and the staff could not have been more attentive, I only gave them 5 stars because they ran out of lobster and then our chosen desserts but we did go late so it was as much our fault as there’s. But what we did have was beautifully cooked and served.

Had another lovely meal, ordered veal for my hubby and swordfish for myself from the specials menu. Staff are always friendly and never rush you.

We originally booked a table for 1pm but had to change it to 2pm at less than 24 hours notice. Cotes obliged without issue. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Good choice on the menu and delicious food although one of our party is vegetarian but would opt for vegan given the choice and we didn't notice this option on the menu until after we'd eaten. Great value for money, great food, great atmosphere.

as ever was a lovely dining experience. would have liked the main a bit quicker as we were going to the theatre and was a little rushed. apart from that was delicious

Great food, but service could have been better - this was down to our individual waiter, the rest of the staff seemed great In reality the 12.5% optional service charge is not optional - it was added to the bill with no opportunity to take it off. I don’t mind paying 12.5%, but didn’t feel the service warranted it. That said, food and atmosphere were great, and can’t wait to come back to try the other dishes.

The food was fantastic along with the warm and professional service. The set menu provides an authentic taste of French cuisine for a reasonable price.

We booked a table for myself and my husband to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. We told the manager (a French lady) this when we arrived and asked for a quiet table. She was so helpful offering us a large booth type table at the rear of the restaurant. She then went and got us two complimentary drinks. Something we had not expected but was really lovely. I’m gluten intolerant and she was very helpful with the menu. The food was lovely and the attention and service we received, made it a really special evening. Thank you for a lovely night.

We use Cote a lot. Always enjoy the meals, the excellent service and the whole ambiance of the restaurant as it feels very much like a real French cafe. Our favourite is probably the minute steak with frites but for dessert we love the apple tart, the praline crepe and chocolate fondant. We also like the fact that water is automatically brought to the table. I do have two complaints though - I think the 12.5% service charge placed on the bill is too much. Bistrot Pierre is your French rival restaurant which we enjoy too (not in the Bay though admittedly) and they leave the 'tip' to the customer, which I believe is right and also they give complimentary bread at the beginning of the meal whereas you have to pay for bread at Cote.

A bit disappointing. This is one of our staple middle of the road restaurants which is usually very reliable. This time it wasnt nearly as good as usual - both service and food were below par. Hopefully just an off day or the Manager's day off

A lovely visit although we miss the lovely manager that used to be there it’s still a great venue , I would love to sample some variety in the menu as regards to fish dishes where you make use of lovely fresh produce caught locally but other than that it’s always reliably good if not fabulous at Cote .Thr summer cocktails however were fab !,

Noisy restaurant, good food but a little bit more expensive than I thought it was worth.
