Côte Cardiff Bay

Arrived to a cold restaurant. Several people with coats on. Eventually got warmer. Not sure if the sour dough bread is sour dough, seems like plain white baguette. Service was ok, not too rushed. Did not feel like a welcomed past customer. Chicken over cooked. Not sure if I will he back.

It was my moms birthday, they gave us a free bottle of bubbly. Service was fast and food was love

A very busy time to eat! We had pre-booked (just as well!) and the restaurant was jumping. Service was prompt and efficient with a smile and a friendly word. The food was superb as usual. Mousse de Canard, pork tenderloin and chocolate mousse. Cooked to perfection and very tasty. Thoughtful waitress, who, knowing we were going on to the theatre presented our bill with dessert so that we could leave as soon as we were ready. Not the first time at Cote n Cardiff Bay and certainly not the last!!

Lovely food and atmosphere. Service was a little slow at times as we were under pre-theatre pressure but on the whole loved it as always.

When I booked I asked for a window table for my husbands 60th birthday. When we arrived not only was the window seat reserved for us, we were brought a glass of complementary fizz each, then when our dessert a arrived a candle was in my husbands. Amazing service and much appreciated. As we paid the bill we reserved another table for two weeks later. We had already reserved a table for new year at Bristol Friary and so looking forward to that too.

Excellent meal before going to see a show. Had the 3 course set lunch menu and both myself and husband's food was delicious. There was a lovely atmosphere and even thought it was very busy with every table full we didn't wait long and great service from all staff. Will definitely return.

Excellent service and lovely food. we were late due to traffic and were due to go to a show and the staff managed to serve us a lovely meal very quickly. We have been here a few times and never been disappointed.

Went for the Breton fish stew. Fairly bland stock, was expecting a bit more flavour. Calamari was super rubbery and tough, potatoes seemed tinned. Wine requested was unavailable so had to go with Sauvignon blanc. Booked table, was put on a table directly next to a group, woman obnoxiously joined the party and was almost sitting on my lap !!. I can understand it’s a Saturday evening and busy but just wasn’t an enjoyable atmosphere. Not if you want an intimate meal for 2.

Great service, tasty food. If there was one complaint, it was that our table was close to another table when there were a number of empty tables. The food was amazing - that was our takeaway impression!

Food good as was the service. Had a shock when the bill arrived as 12% service charge added to the bill. This was nearly £17.00 for 4 of us .

The food was lovely! We arrived with less than an hour until our theatre show started and the waiter and other staff worked hard to fit us in for a 2 course meal before had to leave. Great service and will be back again.

Another visit to our local Cote restaurant for an early lunch in a party of 3. Everything went well from the delicious food to the efficient and professional service. We all ordered from the "Prestige" menu and the 3 courses were all very well received. We will be back next week to try the Christmas menu!

Lovely staff. Chef needs to change batter on haddock goujons - much too heavy & a bit overcooked. Needs a very light beer batter & a quick deep fry. Creme brulee delicious as always
