My mum's steak was a bit tough and we had to ask for water (usually automatically provided). Other than that up to usual good standard.
Very plaisant atmosphere and a good professionalisme Quich service and attentif. Food up to standard. The restaurant got a small terrace who is a plus when the sun is shining.
We,re running late called and no problem - held the table.Food wine and service excellent as usual and the haddock was deserving of special praise.
The service was good. The food was OK, but felt a little bit like factory processed bulk prepared ready made cooking by numbers, pretending to be something more. Which I guess is exactly what it was!
Each time in London my wife and I always have a meal here because the food is exceptionally good. The service is friendly and professional.
Set menu great as always. Just unfortunate that we were ignored for over half an hour after we had finished our mains - several waiters continued to walk past us for at least half an hour without enquiring whether we wanted a dessert/anything else to drink even though the restaurant was fairly empty. Not the service we are used to from Côte.
Our visit was excellent service was prompt food was good staff very friendly. We have visited this branch before and have always had an enjoyable experience
A most enjoyable lunch within the cool of the Kensington restaurant on a glorious sunny warm day. Superb food, drink and sterling (if a trite slow) service.
Food is always very good. We are coming back to this restaurant again and again. Staff is smiley, friendly and professional. This place never fail even if it is busy day.
Have visited, this branch of Côte several times over the past few years. Have always received a good welcome and staff have been friendly and efficient. The special lunch menu is very good value. We like Côte and just hope,it,doesn't become a victim of its success as has been the case with other chains.
Always great food, atmosphere and sometimes good service. Today the staff were very accommodating and sweet. We all had duck breast which was extremely yummy.
Great staff particularly in the front of house manager she was helpful. All in all a lovely evening with family although it must have been hell for the staff as it was so hot but your staff continued to smile through it all
Friendly service, good food and great value. And close to the Albert Hall, too, and High Street Kensington. Big restaurant, but make sure you book.
The restaurant was very busy but we felt the service could have better. We had to ask three times to get the bill and it took 20 minutes even though we had first asked for it when we ordered dessert. My haddock dish was beautiful but my companion's chicken was a little dry. Overall, a pleasant restaurant, not too noisy, and in walking distance to the Albert Hall. I would go there again if in the area but I wouldn't make a special trip.
Very good lunch in attractive well located restaurant. The special offer for regular customers represented fantastic value for money, will certainly return when at Albert Hall in future.
Excellent meal with friendly, attentive service. Great atmosphere, enjoyed drinks outside on a warm evening before dining inside. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Nice welcome but cold chips, sent them back but while you wait for hot ones you have eaten half of your steak, or if you you wait your steak will be cold they need to get this sorted as its not the first time it has happened.
Excellent food, very efficient serving team plus their friendly manner.. menu prices are reasonable and offer good value.......and thats whyI I am a regular diner at Cote!
My friend and i come to a number of Proms Concerts during the season and find you restaurant very good value and convenient to the Albert Hall using the No.52 bus from Victoria Station.
Nice atmosphere, wonderful staff, tasty menu, particularly monthly special menu, there are always some choice you would like. Good wine selection at reasonable price. Good value for money. Good location.
It was a hot evening so we elected to sit inside as it was quieter, but still lively. It was cool and pleasant. The service, as always was great, friendly and efficient. It was a pre-theatre meal, delicious and so reasonably priced. There was an extra charge of £2 for the steak, but it was worth it. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, as always.
We had breakfast there today and as always we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service given by the staff. We will be back soon!
Good (and happy) service today. Food as good as it consistently is and a nice early bird menu. A favourite to go to for a pleasant evening meal out.
The Cote in Kensington is my favourite branch of this chain. The atmosphere, staff and food are always excellent and the by-the-glass wine list, though small, is not too badly priced - although I wish there was the option of a larger glass than the 175ml glasses offered!
Early dinner menu very good value for money and food itself very good and tasty. Unfortunately service is rather slow at this particular branch. I have been to another branch where service is prompt.
Great place tucked down a quiet side alley away from hustle and bustle of High St Kens. Consistently good food, good value, inexpensive, and good service.
Great menu, good selection of wines and great service.... My guests and I hàd a most enjoyable and relaxing dinner and would definitely recommend Cote Kensington.g
Service wasefficient and friendly.Coffee was very strong and a bit cool, but the food was good.We are regular visitors to Cote restaurants and would recommend to others.
Really good, staff helpful and service perfect, food up to Cote standard, as we use the Chihchester Cote frequently, so all good , will carry on using your chain.
Our food was great, and the menu offered a wide selection of choices. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The Cote chain offers very reasonable prices for this level of quality.
The food was great and the price was too but the service was a little slow so don't go if you are in a rush.
Food delicious as always but could have been hotter. Service slow but they were very busy, however, obliging and helpful staff. We shared 2 calamari as a starter between 3, crispy & tasty. 2 of us had duck with cherry sauce, tender and delicious, the potato gratin was excellent. Rump of lamb was nicely presented and 'very juicy'! Finished with chocolate mousse - out of this world and glasses of dessert wine. Cote never disappoints.
My second visit but this time in a party of 5. We arrived late and the staff couldn't have been more understanding. We were in a rush to get to the Albert Hall and the staff responded very well and with speed. They even ordered a cab for us . Excellent!
We had a most wonderful breakfast especially as one was free and we had a lovely waitress. We go to Cote often Cirencester and Westbourne Grove but had never been to Kensington before but will now.
Unusually the restaurant called ahead to say there were some limitations on the menu owing to a failure of the gas hobs. But we so like the service and quality of the food offering we went ahead. We were not disappointed. The reduced choice of dishes was not a significant problem, we were offered complimentary Kir Royale and we enjoyed the company of my Australian cousin and her husband to the full. The sun shone and we enjoyed a walk in adjacent Hyde Park while digesting a healthy and tasty meal.
Service was slow, though it wasn't packed. This is actually quite normal at Cote restaurants. Ordered creme caramel at the start of the meal. After cutlery for the dessert was placed on the table and we waited for a bit, someone came and told us there was no more.
Great food, polite service, well priced. Would highly recommend this restaurant, useful to use prior to the Royal Albert Hall. Enjoyed the experience, although music speakers a little loud (I'm getting an old grump!)
We had a delicious meal at Cote Bistro Kensington yesterday. Service and ambience lovely and a perfect location if looking for somewhere for a bite before visiting the Albert Hall.
Friendly staff, nice ambiance, great French type food. Very good bread. If you're going to the Albert Hall it's ideal. Good walk to the Proms KL
I have dined here on several occasions, the food and service are always excellent. I am still to find a restaurant chain that offers such good value.
Poor service- the waiter actually talked over our heads while serving food! The Calamari were very greasy and the bread coating soggy. The Pan fried Duck was seriously over cooked. The side order of spinach was waterlogged and tasteless. The worst meal I have ever had in a branch of Cote.
My only criticism is that like other restaurants in the chain it was very noisy Hard floors no tablecloths to deaden the sound Food and service were very good Cote staff always seen cheerful unlike many London restaurants
Together with three guests we ate from the fixed price menu and the dishes were first class. The service was efficient and the wine exceptional. The atmosphere and decor are delightful and I would recommend this restaurant to everybody. Wonderful location in central London's Kensington.
Need more staff. Rushed off their feet but good humoured with it. Waited a long time for order to be taken and to arrive. Chips partially cold. Gluten free bread was awful.
Great bread and dinner, but found the rear of the restaurant a bit on the gloomy side which meant that the atmosphere was a bit lacking on such a sunny evening
Our second visit to Cote Kensington and it won't be our last I'm sure! Quick and friendly service, with tasty food. What's not to like?
Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere plus good food & wine ... thank you! Nice quiet location off of busier Kensington High Street so close to shops ... but somewhere nice to relax.
So disappointed. Cote Kensington is usually much better than this. Staff deployment was inadequate, particularly for a sunny Friday lunchtime. Just one waiter, at least for the middle and rear of the restaurant - I know because he (the waiter) told us so! Waited a long time to NOT be asked for our order; finally had to get the waiter. Asparagus soup was lukewarm and I could count the asparagus bits in it on 3 fingers... The sea bream, while tasty, was overcooked and lying atop a stingy portion of mediocre ratatouille. And, for heaven's sake, it can't be so hard to decorate the plate so the fillet, in a lonely mound in the middle, doesn't look so pathetic! Waiters were just too harassed - and showing it. Lots of 'how's your meal' asked by different waiters as they hurried by, making it sound artificial. Don't do it, if you can't look like you mean it. I actually replied to the back of one as he sped off, hands full of wine glasses! And rushed as everyone was, would it have made a difference - or me popular - if I'd said my meal was awful?! Then, my dessert order was wrong; and happily for me my companion was able to back me up in that to the thunderous-looking (head?) waiter...! The crème caramel I finally got was delicious however.
We been welcome really nicely, and the waiter been nice and efficient. He didn't push us as we were chatting a lot. And the meal was delicious
My friends and I always have a good meal in this branch of Cote where we eat early before going to an evening Prom. It's great to know we can count on good food, cooked well. Staff are helpful too.
