Good to experience different Tapas dishes. A very enjoyable meal
Lovely restaruant with beautifully authentic food. Would 100% recommend to anyone
beautifully prepared and presented food - very tasty service was friendly, knowledgeable and prompt without being too overbearing - just how we like it! shame there was no sagres on draught!
I had a veggie main - grated potato and some courgette and aubergine stuck together with a whisked egg - honestly it felt like I was eating leftovers that had been mashed into something... really weird.
A fantastic evening - the restaurant, staff and food all absolutely superb. We will definitely be visiting again very soon.
Great food and staff. The downstairs back room wasn't great but we moved upstairs which was much nicer (and cooler!)
The staff were amazing, the food to die for , the only criticism I can give was on dessert , the queijo de Serra ( cheese) was served with crappy English biscuits , would’ve preferred it served with some Portuguese corn bread but apart from that will definitely go back … wish I could go every week
The restaurant was pleasantly designed, quiet and uncrowded. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The food was good, though I wondered whether the number of fried items was catering to English taste.. Varied menu and reasonable prices.
Food nice and well presented staff very good only thing there was no meat on the pork chop not one bit !
Traditional amazing Portuguese food Will be back for sure 😃
Amazing seafood. All meals are very delicious. Small but cute restaurant.
The staff were very friendly and food was very authentic and tasty. Lovely venue.
Nice atmosphere and decor, with lovely food and lovely staff - thank you!
Lovely authentic Portuguese food, and very pleasant service. We sat in the front area with the traditional decor of cork and tiles on the bar and walls - a nice detail. The only thing we thought was lacking a bit of atmosphere maybe was the back room (which we didn't choose to sit in) - it was too white/bright/blinding - it would be nice if this area could also have some of the traditional Portuguese elements in it - or warmer colours instead of white. Then it would be just perfect. Our meal was quite expensive, but the quality of the food was excellent so probably justified. We were also impressed at the wine list being Portuguese wines (which were very nice - the reds went well with the pork ) and even the mineral water was from Portugal - we will return for special treats (including the scrummy traditional 'pastel' / custard tarts - just as good as the ones we bought in Lisbon at the famous patisserie/cafe... Yum!
We loved everything about the restaurant. The food was great, and different from what you'd get elsewhere. It was really good to see such a wide selection of wines (including the famous Portuguese green wine). The service was really friendly and there were little touches (the menus you write on, the signs on the door displaying availability for parties of different sizes) that show they've really thought about how they do things. We'll definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our visit - the food was very tasty and a good range of plates. The service was very personal and the whole meal was great value for money. We will definitely visit again.
It was a lovely restaurant with excellent service it was just that the food was too oily for us. The pastries tapas were good and so we’re the custard tarts and doughnuts. The wine was really lovely it was just that the octopus was floating in a sea of oil and the other two mains you could also taste the oil which just wasn’t to our palate.
Good food. reminds me of restaurants I went in Porto.
Fantastic as always. Missing the (best ever) quiche, but rest of menu, great wines, charming staff and the place are all really lovely.
This is one of those places so good that it's almost a shame to tell everyone how good!
Great food with very nice service. Good choice of food and drinks - just great all round!
excellent place, going to visit again very soon. perfect meal
Poor quality food, service good friendly staff. Tapas was all deep fried and reminded us of crispy pancakes
Lovely food ,nice casual atmosphere ,friendly staff definitely be visiting again
The food was authentic and delicious, really good, but we were put in a small room with only one other table and as we had gone for my daughter’s 21st there wasn’t much atmosphere... downstairs is better where there are more tables. The food is very good tho but I wouid trwuest a table downstairs next time.
Quirky little restaurant. Attentive staff. Tasty food, although I didn't realise the dishes didn't come with veg. I should have ordered sides. Would eat there again.
Took an hour to be served our food in a nearly deserted restaurant. Lacked atmosphere and good service. Food was okay overall. Fish was overcooked sadly.
What an amazing place x food beyond nice. Seriously good
Great night out and lovely Portuguese food, worth a visit.
Menu full lots of lovely choices and the food tasted as delicious as it sounded. Service was nice and friendly but also helpful when choosing the wine. Can’t wait to go again.
Having visited Portugal on many an occasion and also taking the opportunity to get married there a few years ago, we didn't hesitate in booking the restaurant whilst down here on our holidays, as we love Portugal and it's people. The restaurant is located in a perfect position and our table on the upper floor was 'home from home' and seemed just the right ambience for me and the family. The menu is very good and the food itself very tasty and authentic. If I was totally honest, this was let down a little by the service, which, in my opinion, didn't live up to the 'Portuguese' way. In fact, despite being told that all the staff were Portuguese, we didn't get the feeing that out waitress was and certainly didn't show the hospitality that you expect from the Portuguese. No one came to ask how our meal was or thanked us for our custom which is something you get used to whilst eating in Portugal. Maybe it was because we were out of the way upstairs, but I just felt this let the whole experience down somewhat. Nearly but not quite I would say.
This little restaurant never fails. Great food, friendly and efficient staff
Amazing traditional Portuguese food and really friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!
Love this place! Great service, great food, great sangria! Thoroughly recommend - is refreshing to have such an authentic feeling restaurant
Very good we both really enjoyed the food and the sangria
Excellent Food and Table Service! Nothing wrong to say at all
Great place, wonderful food, great atmosphere. Highly recommend to others.
This little restaurant is a total gem among all the prevalent ‘chain’ food outlets Exeter generally has to offer. This is authentic Portuguese food, beautifully prepared and presented, by Portuguese people. It’s a place for enthusiasts and those who appreciate really excellent dining at a very reasonable price. Just try it, you won’t be disappointed.
This is such a lovely pleasant place to eat and drink. The atmosphere, setting, cleanliness and general ambience cannot be beaten. The food is amazing and must be tried.
First time to this restaurant, great dining experience, the food and service were excellent, very authentic.
Food was absolutely delicious and it felt very clean and covid safe, will definitely return
Always a pleasure to eat here. Great food and an excellent setting with friendly staff.
We ate in one of the rooms on the first floor which was simply decorated but with an authentic Portuguese feel to it . Service as usual was very friendly & efficient .The food was delicious, typical hearty dishes full of flavour. Great wine, perfect Portuguese egg tarts & excellent coffee. A delightful lunch on a cold grey day .
We enjoyed our visit to Cork and Tile, and will be returning.
Very authentic Portuguese food. Friendly and efficient service even though busy. Would definitely recommend.
We had an excellent dinner and great hospitality. Thank you
Great food. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing menu and wine list .
Great food and the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. The background music was not too noisy which was great so we were able to chat comfortably. We'll be back...
First visit to Cork and Tile. Food good. Very authentic Portugese.
We had octopus and pork shoulder with a nice vino verde. This was our second visit and we will be back. Nicely cooked and a bit different...
